Top Man pushes his luck when Mercury learns about the gossip the spinning top has been spouting on him.
Top Man had already been cleaning his shoes from accidentally skating on dog shit when he heard the sounds of slime moving. He didn't need to turn to guess who had arrived from his window.
"Hey, Merc-"
Before the spinner could even complete his sentence, he was grabbed by the stardroid's slimy limbs and thrown to the wall. Knowing fully why, but not wanting to give suspicion, he stood up, rubbing his own armor to check for dents.
"Wow, Mercury, is this a way to greet your friends?"
"Don't patronize me!" The slime robot shouted, pointing a finger to Top Man. "I am now FULLY AWARE of the shit you've been saying about me in your group chat with Shadow Man AND Gemini Man!"
Toppy, who knew he was caught, but didn't want to fight Mercury (after all, he would lose to a stardroid, even one as low-ranking as the Sneaky Stealer), still kept on his facade.
"What do you mean? I don't have any reason to have a group chat without you, Mercury. Who told you that?"
The stardroid squints. "It was Snake Man."
"And you would believe him, the reptilian scourge, who has nothing good to speak about anyone, over me, your earthling friend?! You're being mistaken!" Top lied.
Meanwhile, Snake Man felt his quasi-ears heat as he was watching his Search Snakes.
Back to Top Man's room, Mercury seemed to hesitate a bit. Sure, he didn't know Snake Man that well, but the spy robot, unlike Shadow Man, had no reason to lie. After all, he had no care towards the alien issues going on between the Federation, Sunstar's Army and the Kuiperland.
Still, the alternative would be that Top Man would not only have talked smack behind him, but also lied to his face in his own front without any hint of remorse whatsoever.
And that hurt.
He looked at the earthling, wanting more confirmation of which of the theories were true, and hoping, HOPING it was the former.
Top Man, however, taking Mercury's expression, further attempts to defuse the situation.
"Anyway, a group chat. Really. Mercury, you have to stop believing everything some rando tells you. If there's no proof, there is no boof, you know." He shrugs, giving a good ol' grin. "You should relax. I wouldn't think anything terrible about you, much less type it in a private app group chat!"
"Private app? But Snake Man told me you did it in a chat site."
Top Man paused a bit at Mercury's observation. "Chat. Site. App. Nowadays they mean the exact same thing, Merc, what with everyone developing for mobile phones."
"But Top Man, ZappyRC's mobile site went down a few months ago, and I'm pretty sure it's still down. Are there any other places people chat on apps?"
Okay Toppy. Keep it cool, keep it cool.
"Why yes, you have Discogram, where the D is for Degenerates, you have Merotalk where I heard the girls congregate to thirst over the same five guys and then proceed to talk about mutilation, assassination, true crime and all those just girly things, you have Tapa-"
"Wait a moment, Top Man. How do you know the women on Merotalk talk about mutilation, when the only things the app advertise as is assassination and true crime discussion on the attractives for girls?"
F u c k
Top Man froze.
He had barely any time to react before Mercury used his Snatch Buster on him and slammed him around the walls and floor.

and ofc! you can find my latest posts of him on @meromessy. he's actually ppretty tame, just a bit stupid sometimes but super approachable. he's athletic, too. but he can be feral when provoked and he knows how to handle his own in a fight (not involving magic, ofc)
random fun facts: he's a great home cook! he was uausally left alone in his house when he was back in his home world so he learned to cook for himself. he is the youngest of 5 and the sibling closest to his age is 9 years older than him so he was the baby of his family lol. his dad is a pilot and his mom is a dentist. he used to do modelling back in his home world hehe but he doesn't tell anyone, especially vil.
