#harper.txt #*obviously genders don't matter despite the name of the trope #this trope p. much sums up the valmellia / jaenelle / veszila dynamic perfectly ough.#it's about the devotion. the intensity. the willingness to do anything to keep their love safe.#it's probably played the most straight (lol) with jaenelle given jaethal is LITERALLY leonelle's spymaster #and therefore is sworn to protect her at any cost. while with valmellia it's like. they can be either depending on the situation #and that dynamic with veszila is like. vesz is swearing to keep zila safe from THEMSELF as well as those who'd do her harm within the templ #bc of her relationship with them. hell even from Father. their greatest fear was that he'd take zila away from them.#anyway. good stuff. inject it into my veins.

SEVEN UNHOLY ROADS TO DREZEN'S THRONE • PART 1/7 - IRA (WRATH)

Pairing: Valerius/Camellia aka Valmellia; Camellia x Commander Rating: E CW and Tags: post-canon, Kinktober 2022, explicit sexual content, rekindling a relationship, rough sex, assassination attempt, biting. Words: 4132 words (part 1) Summary: in the years after the Fifth Crusade’s end, many saw the legend who closed the Worldwound go from being a hero to a tyrant, and it led Mendev to desperation. That desperation, for better or for worse, led to a reignition of passion between two long-separated lovers. Notes: this is my Kinktober 2022 entry, a seven part series themed around each of the deadly sins; I’m doing this with a few other writers in the WotR fandom, with each of us doing our interpretation of the prompts.

The scent catches his nose again. Stronger, this time, from behind his high-backed chair fashioned from ironwood. Followed by a heartbeat and a slight feverish pitch to some breathing that is not his own. He wishes he could say it is his desire playing tricks on him as part of another long night of aching for her - but no, he knows that pulse intimately.

“You have become a true creature of the night, my love.” Her voice is polite and cold, yet there is still a hint of warmth as she utters the word love, and it burrows deep inside him, trying to pick apart a wound in his heart that has never truly healed; her footsteps are light against the stone. “It suits you.”
