ahhh! yes i love minhyuk+jooheon and even though they’re my favorite i really love minhyuk’s interactions with everyone so much!! im not sure exactly how much you wanted me to say but im really about to take this as an opportunity to talk about minhyuk+everyone and why they have a special place in my heart but you can also look HERE because i really tried to make this series highlight the dynamics between everyone :^)

i’m putting this under a read more because it ended up insanely long (over 1600 words…) but! if anyone wants to talk to me about any of this or!! wants to discuss any pairing!! please please please send me more messages :’) i really love all of them so much and idk this is just my take on everything and i’d love to hear your opinions whether they’re different or the same!!! i love love and monsta x all loves each other :-) under the cut is my feelings about each individual minhyuk pairing!

minhyuk+shownu: ahh! so for them the moment i think about the most (and i think everyone always comes back to this!) is in right now where shownu said that he missed minhyuk the most and instead of minhyuk being upset about having to go back, he kept up his positivity and had a nice night in with shownu?? cuddling on the bed?? they’re such complete opposites but they’re able to compliment each other SO WELL!! and one of my favorite things about their dynamic is how supportive they are to each other i mean i’ll probably say this about all of them but in the sense of these two: i think minhyuk really gave shownu a lot more confidence especially in regards to speaking and variety… for obvious reasons mx kinda views minhyuk as the best in those regards, and i think for shownu to have minhyuk’s approval and encouragement that really meant a lot? like minhyuk will encourage shownu to take charge and praise his growing variety skills and i think it’s beautiful :’) and for the other way around: i’ve noticed that shownu always.. i’m not sure how to word this but he?? puts up with minhyuk so well even when he’d being a bit much? like i was watching this one backstage video and minhyuk explaining rush and trying to be funny and a little extra and the other members were kinda looking at him weird but shownu was genuinely laughing at what he was saying and encouraging him through :’) so i really like how even though they’re complete opposites they’re able to find a nice medium, where minhyuk quiets down a little and finds comfort in shownu’s presence and shownu’s more comfortable being a little louder and a little more silly!!

minhyuk+wonho: jfkdsflkd the obvious thing here would be?? the ultimate flirting couple?? rivaled only by joohyuk… wonho really just lets minhyuk feel him up and hit on him on any program?? it’s incredible… they’re both types that really need validation and attention from others and they give it to each other with so many compliments? but also the more forgotten emotional side of wonhyuk :( wonho’s painful radio video message…. it ties back a little bit to what i said about minhyuk+shownu, how the other members see him as the best in regards to speaking and variety, and how he’s able to give wonho comfort in that sense by just being next to him, but it goes past that? i feel like people really underestimate minhyuk in the way that i don’t think many or any fans would’ve picked him out to be the one to pay the most attention to wonho’s emotional struggle at the time but he clearly was? wonho picking him as the one who listened to him and asked him about what was wrong… there’s so much in that one video that makes me emotional and i feel like we haven’t gotten to see that side of their relationship much anywhere else but it makes my heart ache :(

minhyuk+kihyun: OOOH BOY!!! the best way to describe them is just as real best friends…i’ve always gotten that impression from them from the moment i got into mx!! they’ve gone through so many interesting phases.. for the first year or so they were so obsessed with each other and insanely complimentary?? minhyuk even said that there was a time where he found everything about kihyun cute and that they would wake up and look at each other and laugh.. and even though they’ve moved past that into their bantering phase you can tell how very close they are… i really started to notice it throughout fighter era but when you pay attention to their vlives they’re always mentioning how often they eat together or how many plans they have together or how they’re always roommate buddies.. i honestly cannot believe how many dinner dates those boys have gone on it warms my heart :(( and it’s hard to say anything about this for sure but i just really sense that they have a deep friendship… like i feel like they’re a pairing that really likes to talk about deep things with each other and think about the future like they’re just such intimate friends… when i rewatched their liev it really just seemed like the kinds of topics that they often discuss with each other :( and of course also the message that minhyuk left for kihyun in the 2year anniversary video.. i really love their relationship because even though they’re both so bad at showing their affection to each other they’re still BEST FRIENDS! minhyuk clearly appreciates so much about kihyun and vice versa and also this message restored my faith in friendship :((  im sorry i really love these two and! they’re so underappreciated in my opinion

minhyuk+hyungwon: this pair is so interesting to me because honestly i feel like i only recently started to get a grip on their friendship?? they’re also so interesting because they’re also very opposite personalities but yet i think it’s fair to argue that this pair is just as close as kihyun+minhyuk as minhyuk as said that he’s closest to these two.. this part is about to be a little hypothetical because im not positive on the details of this but from my understanding minhyuk and hyungwon have been friends for so long?? like i think they came to starship together from the same company.. and they’re posted a few pictures of when they were much younger, so their friendship goes back further than most if not all the other mx friendships which is so intriguing to me? but anyway onto their dynamic… also v interesting? hyungwon will really just let minhyuk get away with anything they have some of the most iconic fansign videos.. like he’s just so tolerant of minhyuk and really just lets minhyuk be completely himself? and also hyungwon is just very full of praise for minhyuk as well :( like i said i feel like im still getting a grip on their friendship

minhyuk+jooheon: fjkdslfds like you said i really do like these two’s interactions and i think you may have sent this from reading this ask i received earlier so i’m really not gonna say as much here as i could!! but these too are really too of the most high energy, extroverted, and open loving members of the group and it’s so obvious to see and i’m happy that they’re able to be open with each other about it :( minhyuk is able to give someone all his kisses and jooheon gets the affection that he craves :( also as i mentioned in that ask.. the support that they give each other… a little bit the opposite from what i’ve said above? i feel like minhyuk views jooheon as one of the the most “successful” or “put together” members? im not sure how to word that but getting praise from him means so much.. and jooheon’s out there praising his rapping his singing his variety skills his eloquency? and whenever he does so you can tell how happy it makes minhyuk :’)

minhyuk+changkyun: ahhhhhh one of my favorites another one that i really just still don’t understand at all but i love them? and also very underappreciated? it’s extremely frustrating to me that there are still SO many people who have some stupid idea that minhyuk doesn’t like changkyun because of about two (2) sentences that he said on no mercy.. now i’m in no way trying to argue that minhyuk+changkyun are the closest pairing in mx but you can tell that they ARE close friends? like i said though i don’t understand them at all because in the words of aleena they’re such a “wildcard pairing” like even separately minhyuk and changkyun are unpredictable and when they’re together it’s just multiplied… on certain occasions these two are WILD they’re the ones who bring the energy to the group and they’re the puppy line!! they bring out the weird in each other and i love it.. but on the other occasions they’re incredibly soft? i think a lot of times it can be weird to think of minhyuk as a hyung in the group but with changkyun it’s almost painfully obvious… minhyuk has said that changkyun is one of the members that he really likes to take care of and i think you can really see it if you pay attention to the two of them :( there are so many times where minhyuk is just looking out for changkyun or where changkyun will wrap his arms around minhyuk or softly rest his head on minhyuk’s shoulders and it’s absolutely precious to see these two wild members just calm down for a moment in each others’ presence… and i also think people neglect to realize or remember that they’ve been roommates since predebut?? like people only think of jookyun but minhyuk was right there too and i really think that these two are closer than people care to think about because apparently people still think that minhyuk hates changkyun? but in a direct quote from minhyuk: “Wherever it is, on my bed next to me or on the sofa next to me. Become a better Changkyun that listens to my stories just like now.“ :(
