okay let’s pretend they do have a big ceremony just so i can fill this out but TBQH?? they are the type that would just straight up elope.

where they get married: some place secluded. patch maybe?

when they get married ( ie what time of day, what month and season etc. ): spring is beautiful in vale and ozpin insists on perfect weather (as if he couldn’t control the weather himself if he wanted). probably dusk.

what traditions they include ( do they get married under a chuppah and crush a glass, garter toss, ‘something borrowed, something blue,’ etc. ): handfasting! literally just another reason for them to hold hands.

what their wedding cake looks like: it’s fucking enormous so accommodate ozpin’s massive sweet tooth. four tiers changing between green, black, red, and black. it’s all embellished with gears (cause clockwork, get it?). chocolate with some sort of fruit filling.

….who smashes cake into whose face: qrow absolutely smashes the cake in ozpin’s face and doesn’t tell him.

who proposed to who first: this one is tricky. i’ve written it both ways. both of them are just so afraid to let themselves be happy. i personally like the idea of ozpin being proposed to simply because i feel there is more emotional weight to oz saying yes.

who walks down the aisle and who waits at the altar ( or neither ): ozpin is walking down that fucking aisle and he won’t take no for an answer.

what their wedding dresses / suits / other look like: both wear suits! qrow has got that red shirt/black jacket and tie combo going for him. ozpin in a black shirt with a satin green jacket and pants.

what their wedding colour scheme is and what sort of decor they have: christmas colors!! except with black detailing instead of white. remnant weddings allow you to express yourself in your colors and sometimes white just isn’t one of those colors.

what flowers are in the bouquet ( if applicable. bonus: what do the flowers mean? ): no bouquets. but qrow has a gerbera on his lapel. ozpin as a peony.

what their vows are ( eg poetry, traditional, improvised etc. ): ozpin is a speech guy. makes it up on the spot too. well, it’s technically a speech but the way he says it might as well be poetry. qrow practiced his for weeks. had it memorized right until it was his time to speak. had to take the paper out and read it but ozpin still loved it.

if anyone’s late to the wedding: considering their wedding consisted of like, four people? no.

who’s in the bridal parties / groomsmen / other: again, since it’s so small they don’t have parties. their families are small and broken. and they don’t have many friends either thanks to their work so they decided that everyone who they do care about will be a spectator rather than part of the ceremony. but ruby still gets to be flower girl.

what their bridal party / groomsmen / other are wearing: see above.

who gives speeches at the reception ( bonus: what do they say? recount a sweet memory or two between them? tell an embarrassing story? ): glynda and tai speak. both have embarrassing stories to tell though glynda is much nicer than tai is on that aspect. glynda lowkey threatens qrow but it’s all in good fun.

who catches the bouquet( s ): na

what their wedding photos are like ( are they sweet, with the couple holding hands or kissing or ~gazing into each others eyes~? are they silly, with a snapshot of the ‘cake-smash’ moment? or are they artistic, with one of them facing the sunset or holding their bouquets? ): it’s a mix of sweet and silly. qrow is too impatient for artistic photos most of them are pretty much candid. they do end up holding hands and staring lovingly into each other’s eyes a lot anyway.

what sort of food they have at the reception: probably some sort of fish? champagne but ozpin makes sure to regulate qrow’s drinking.

who cries first during the ceremony: it’s a toss up between tai or ozpin.

how wild their reception gets ( who dances the best, who gets drunk first, etc. ): tai embarrasses everyone who knows him on the dance floor. all in all it’s not that wild because ozpin is chill and qrow isn’t the biggest fan of parties.

what their rings are like: qrow’s is a silver band with a ruby strip. ozpin’s is green with a clear strip that holds small, golden gears inside.

what sort of favours they have ( heart shaped sparklers, mini champagne bottles, personalised candy etc. ): candy bags. because ozpin planned this.

where they go for their honeymoon: some place far away from all you losers.

something memorable that happens during the party / ceremony ( do they run out of ice and someone goes to get it in full formal wear on foot, does anyone fall asleep in the middle of the party, etc. ): the sound system dies half way through tai busting out the moves. ruby and yang thank qrow profusely for his semblance.

who officiates the ceremony: hmm. for some reason i feel like port is certified. maybe oobleck but qrow refuses.

what song their first dance is to: idfk

who gives who away as they walk down the aisle: glynda gives ozpin away.
