how are you feeling about movie night ? did anything surprise you ?

“ it wasn’t great for me, yeah, ” naomi laughs, running her hands through her hair. “ i guess you’re probably expecting me to talk about josh, but the most surprising part of the night for me was romi. not just her tape, but also the way she chose to leave. whether josh or marcus were coupled with us or not, i’d pictured the two of us there at the end together since the very first week. it’s kind of crazy that it’s not happening, and um, i’m really sad about it. i think it’s clear that those clips were specifically chosen to hurt people, and, well, they had the intended impact, huh ? ” there’s a pointed look at the camera, a line that’s definitely not making the edit.

what are your thoughts on romi and marcus’s decision to leave ?

“ i was actually pretty pissed about it. but it’s only been a few hours and at this point, i just miss them. ”

are you happy in your couple or do you think your head could be turned ?

“ why’s it one or the other ? ” she jokes, shaking her head. “ no, sorry. but everyone knows my heart’s with josh at this point, i’m not actually denying it. though i guess i have been fighting it a little, ” there’s a sheepish grin on her lips. “ but i don’t regret sleeping outside last night, i really needed to be able to like, sort my head out, and i just wanted to be alone. but the way romi and marcus left said a lot to me, actually. i mean, they didn’t stay for josh, and they didn’t stay for me – or for anyone else. but they left with each other, ” she explains. “ that’s, like, the way it is in here. despite the bonds you form, you can only leave with one person, right ? so, yeah. if i’m gonna leave with anyone, i want it to be josh. i’m gonna fix this. i’m sure as hell not sleeping alone again tonight. ” 

what are your thoughts on santiago and victoria ? are either of them your type ? do you think your partner would be interested in them ?

“ i mean, they’re both fit, right ? i don’t know either of them really well, but looks-wise i’d definitely have gone for them on the outside. not, like to date, but . . . ” naomi trails off, her tongue tracing her teeth into a suggestive smile. “ i don’t really think either of them are josh’s speed, though, y’know, just a wild guess there. ”

are you grafting right now ? if so, who is at the top of your list ?

“ yeah, i actually am ‘grafting’ right now, ” it still counts if you’re grafting one person, right ? naomi grins cheekily before she addresses the producer, “ can we chat for a quick sec ? ”

what are you most looking forward to about reuniting with the other villa? what are you dreading the most?

“ i know it’s going to be hard to see dylan again. clearly a lot of things have changed since we saw each other last. so, that’s going to be a really hard conversation. it’s been easy to try to assume i know where his head is at, since i feel like i know him, but at the end of the day – i don’t know. maybe i don’t really know at all, ” she frowns. “ but i literally can’t wait to catch up with marcus. i hadn’t realized how much i talked to him every day i was in here until he wasn’t in here. it’s probably been good for us to get some space after what happened and we can get right back to our usual bullshit. i have so much to tell him, ” naomi smiles fondly. “ and, yeah, i know, ” she rolls her eyes, a deadpan look at the camera, “ josh. ” she leans back, “ at this point, i don’t even know whether to be excited or whether to be dreading it. maybe both. definitely both. i’ll figure it out when i see him. ” 

if you were to stick, why would you? why would you consider switching?

“ with everything that’s been going on with me, it’s made the most sense to just . . . keep that to myself, not mix anyone else up in the shitstorm i have to deal with when everyone returns, ” she grimaces. “ the postcard definitely seemed to indicate that i should be exploring other potential, but i started doing that so late that i still don’t really know if there’s anything there. ” 

is there a bombshell that’s at the top of you ‘list’? who would you bring back?

“ charlene’s made a real effort with me since yesterday, which is nice. i’m still figuring out if we’d really click or . . . how genuine it is, honestly, ” this is hilarious when naomi is fake as hell but i digress, “ but maybe i’d know more if i hadn’t spend the past few days closed off while the guys were cracking on, ” she points out. “ just wish i knew how things were going to go tonight, because bringing someone back could be the right choice or it could be a massive mistake. i do like her, and i don’t want to hurt anyone else. ” 

if none of the bombshells could come back, who would you miss most?

“ angel, for sure. i’m feeling pretty good about it, though, because i think callie would be a complete idiot not to bring him back and she totally knows it. ” naomi shrugs, “ but yeah, i’m really glad we became friends. ” and they have such different lives, naomi doesn’t think they’ll ever really get the chance to chill on the outside like they can now. 

what conversations do you need to have most when you reunite?

“ i think everyone’s sick of me talking about josh, but i really need to talk to josh. i don’t even know if he deserves it or if it’s all been total bullshit, but i need to know where his head’s at more than anything – i think it’s been pretty clear that it’s driving me fucking crazy. i can’t stop thinking about the other night. but seeing that photo just gave me this sinking feeling he hasn’t changed, so, ” naomi flashes the camera a tight-lipped smile. “ and i need to talk to dylan. it feels like make or break for us, really, which is hard . . . even before we got together, he always had my back or went out of his way to check on me. he made every day easier for me, and i feel like i’ve just made things harder on him by, well, only communicating half of what i was feeling all the time. ” 

what are you feeling about the decisions of the other islanders? who do you think has made the best connection?

“ i think it’ll be kind of crazy. like, seb and rhys totally want each other, but it could go either way – they seem like the type to friendship couple with the bombshells to ‘give them a chance’ or whatever. either way, i think it’s gonna be a shock for poor bash, ” naomi is curious to see how everyone from the other villa takes it, considering rhys and seb will be totally new to all of them. however, this is the drama that she’s most excited to watch pan out, because she’s pretty confident it’s going to work out for everyone involved anyway. “ i think . . . dante makes romi happy, ” naomi smiles placidly, not offering anything more than that. “ and honestly, jenny and jude seem kind of suited ? except for the fact that she’d fully drop him if josh decided to give her the time of day again, ” she suggests this matter-of-factly, like two plus two equals four. “ and, yeah, like i’ve told callie, i think her and angel seem really good together. he’s so into her, and i think they’re kind of on the same page about everything. i’m just not sure how much frankie coming back is going to shake that up, but . . . i like them. ”

how are you feeling in your decision to couple up or stay single ?

“ oh, well . . . ” she pauses. “ you’re probably expecting me to say i regret it, right ? but i don’t. ” naomi shrugs her shoulders matter-of-factly. “ i think i did what i needed to do, charlene and i were still getting to know each other and i had some questions about that. i do regret that i made her feel bad, or that i got her hopes up because i was really scared to talk about where i was at with josh . . . but when she gave me an ultimatum so soon, it made things really clear for me. ” naomi grimaces, “ i don’t think josh and i would be where we’re at without that. i, like, totally needed some tough love, i guess. but i hope the person of her dreams comes in soon, i don’t think i ever really felt like that was me anyway. do regret that it got all shit between us, she’s wicked fun to be around. ” 

are you happy in your couple or do you think your head could be turned ?

“ technically, my head was turned, right ? or turned back ? i don’t know. but i think this is the happiest josh and i have ever been together, it’s insane. i can’t remember the last time i was this uncool about someone, ” she laughs. “ we’ve been tested so much, i can’t see anything fucking with us now, really. well, except for the fact that it’d be nice to be in an actual couple. honestly, if charlene stops giving me the cold shoulder, i'm seriously considering going back inside . . . because the wind ? the bugs ? we woke up this morning and there was this massive beetle just chilling on the blanket between us, ” naomi shivers, leaning back like she’s raring to jump out of her skin at the memory. she looks at the camera, seriously stressed, “ i can’t do it much longer, i’m actually gonna fucking lose it. ”  

what are your thoughts on seb & bash & rhys’ exit last night ? why did you vote the way you did ?

“ i think i’ve had to explain myself to everyone and their mother at this point, really, so i’ll just say it. i care about dylan, and i couldn’t be the reason he left if it came down to it, ” she sighs. “ i know what we had was short-lived, and i’m not sure if he’ll ever know what he meant to me, but . . . at least now i’ve done what i can, you know ? ” she pauses, “ and to be honest, i don’t think he and adela would stand a fucking chance out there without a little more time in here. i’ll miss the boys, but the way they left everything in here was mad toxic. hope they’re doing better on the outside. ”

out of everyone left, who would be the hardest person to see go ?

“ like, besides josh ? i think he’d expect me to go with him anyway, ” there’s a placid little smile on her lips that doesn’t give much away as to whether she actually would or not. “ marcus, for sure. like, i just got him back, and he’s kind of been my rock in here from the start. i thought things might be weird after, you know, ” naomi grimaces, “ but we’ve just bounced back. i’m really hoping it’s him and romi in the end, but i’m worried i might lose him in here if she doesn’t pick him. roms, too, of course, but i don’t think she’s really at risk. be cool if the four of us could finish this whole thing together, though. ” 

who seems like the strongest couple right now and why ?

“ it’s hard to say, i think. i think callie and angel are gonna make it work, but i wouldn’t call them the strongest with all the frankie drama, right ? but once it settles, i think they’re so solid – they just seem really compatible to me and i know how much they care about each other. ” naomi pauses, “ honestly, everyone’s starting pretty fresh right now except josh and i. it’s kind of crazy, i would have never expected that in the early days, but . . . yeah, i actually think we’re super strong. fuck. ”

who seems like the weakest couple right now and why ?

“ i guess romi and dante, only because she’s the only person still deciding between multiple options, so it makes sense they’d be the weakest, right ? ” she hopes that’s a good, diplomatic non-answer. “ and i think jude’s proper obsessed with jenny from the conversations we’ve had, it’s actually sort of sweet, but it’d be sweeter if jenny could be in a room with me for two seconds without making a snide remark about josh. ” that’s less diplomatic.

the past few days have been pretty crazy. is there anything that really surprised you?

“ i feel like i’m supposed to say josh, but . . . i think the worst part is i’m not actually that surprised. someone his type came in, he wants to get to know her, that’s not super crazy. i think i’m more surprised that it actually really upset me ? like, i didn’t expect to be so bothered or jealous, but it’s doing my head in, ” she admits with a pout. “ i hate it. ” 

do you know who you want to pick in the recoupling/who you hope will pick you?

“ i hope that josh and i will have some more time to figure things out. i think we deserve that shot, and if he chose me, it would say a lot. so, i hope it’s still us, ” she laughs, though it comes out kind of bitter. “ if not, i’ll just be fucking pissed and have to pray someone else thinks i deserve a chance. ” a chance to make josh miserable, in that case. 

what conversations do you need to have before tonight?

“ are you tired of hearing me say josh ? but josh, ” naomi scrunches up her face like ‘ew’ and sighs. “ and, honestly, dylan. it’s all a bit complicated, but it’s hard to predict how all of this will work out. if i’m packing my bags tonight, don’t know if i can do it without telling him that i’d want to get to know him better. i owe it to myself to quit holding back, especially if josh is doing the same. ” 

which islanders do you think are in danger of being sent home?

“ mimi thinks she’s in deep shit, ” naomi says. she’s not sure she agrees – mimi seems like such a popular fan fave, wouldn’t they find a way to get her to stay ? but naomi wouldn’t say this to mimi or anyone. she kind of likes the reason for their temporary truce. “ which, she could be. i can’t read jenny’s mind. ” 

which person would devastate you the most if they left tonight? is there islander that you want to leave/wouldn’t mind if they were gone?

“ if jenny could eight-six-seven-five-three-oh-nine her way out of here, that would make things a lot easier on me, ” that one was for rhys. “ but that’s not really possible. ” 

who do you think has the most solid connection?

“ shall we just give romi and marcus the 50k and go home ? ” 

“ are you sending something to the other villa ? maybe it should be my mugshot, 'cause seriously, i’ll go off. ” 

who did you share a bed with last night ? how did you sleep ?

“ i shared with stella, or tried to. i didn’t really get much sleep, but that’s not because of her. i couldn’t turn my brain off and i was pretty worried about romi, so . . . yeah, i eventually just got over myself and reached out to her, and we talked through a lot of the night. would it kill you guys to send in someone nice that’s going to treat her right ? surely that’s what the viewers want at this point, too. but, um, yeah, it was really nice to just hang out with her again. i missed her – after, like, an hour, i missed her. it was so pathetic. ” 

are you getting on with any of the bombshells ? who’s at the top of your list ?

“ i don’t really have a list – which, talking about it is sort of mortifying, considering i don’t think i was at the top of anyone’s when they came in here. the past few days . . . you guys sure know how to humble a girl, don’t 'cha ? ” a wry grin crosses her features.  “ i’d say jude is the only one i don’t get on with, but even that feels complicated. like, i don’t hate him, but i don’t think we’ll ever be besties. stella’s like, one of my girls, she’s someone i could see myself getting along with on the outside, she’d fit right in with my friends. angel’s like, the opposite of that in a good way. he’s nothing like what i’m used to with my friends back home, but i feel like we clicked so well so fast ? i could talk to him for ages. it’s really comfortable. this is going to be really embarrassing if he comes in here after this to the cameras, like, fuck that bitch, she didn’t know how to dap or whatever, ” naomi monologues. “ zeke’s pretty cute, but he’s pretty aloof, too. and dante’s really fun – so gorgeous. i think he’s like, waffling a bit between jenny and romi. pretty curious to see how that whole thing plays out, shoutout to someone else’s love triangle. and charlene’s sweet, i think she could tell i had a late night, so she made me breakfast this morning, ” she smiles in spite of herself, “ i really liked that. ” 

do you see yourself starting to focus on one person or are you still exploring ?

“ well, i guess i’m still ‘exploring.’ ” naomi draws air quotes around the word. “ i do really want to focus on one person, though. i think the past few days have really made me realize that. i thought i would be making a more definitive decision about that at the end of this week, but . . . maybe it’s been made for me anyway. i think the hardest part is not knowing. ” 

how was the beer pong game ? what was most memorable about it ?

“ i’m so shit, but after seeing those dares, it’s probably for the best that i didn’t manage to sink a single shot, ” naomi laughs, dropping her head into her hands before she emerges with a sheepish grin. “ i guess the romi, jude and jenny drama is what sticks out the most. i don’t know. i haven’t been jude’s biggest fan, but i would’ve liked to see things work out for romi. obviously a lot of the bombshells don’t see what the big deal was as much, it was a little lost on angel at first, but i’ve been in here with romi since the start, and i’m getting pretty fucking sick and tired of seeing her get shit on – and, yeah, i’m still getting my family’s lawyer involved about the dejan thing, count on it. ”

what was it like seeing the postcard ? what was the most shocking part of it ?

“ right, ” naomi presses her lips together, “ well, it didn’t feel good, so thanks for that. ” her gaze drops down toward her hands, and she releases a gentle sigh. “ i know i’ve been telling you guys that i think dylan should get to explore his options – and i still think that he’s justified. he definitely deserves to, like, i don’t need the lecture on how my feelings have been divided. but it was still jarring to see that before we’ve even had the chance to speak about it, i don’t know. i guess i didn’t expect it to be as easy for him, ” she wipes the corner of her eyes with her palm, gritting her teeth, “ and josh – yeah, i know, everyone and their mother warned me. i’m not surprised. trust me, it’s not like i expected him to be chaste, especially when i didn’t give him an answer last time we spoke. but i really didn’t like looking at it. ” naomi clears her throat, “ can we take a break ? ” 

did the postcard change anything about your perspective moving forward ?

“ well, ” an exasperated sigh escapes her lips and she reaches to apply her lip gloss, a knowing look at the camera, “ i guess i’ve got to crack on for real, don’t i ? what choice do i have ? ” 

who did you vote for the hideaway ? why ?

“ i voted for angel. if i had the option, i probably would’ve voted for callie, too. i think out of everyone, they could probably most benefit from the alone time away from everyone else ? i don’t know if they’ve really talked about frankie or the more serious stuff. and he’s so into her, it’s really cute. it’s nice to see someone that’s actually all about callie and angel seems like he wants the same things she does out of this, like he’s just as serious about a real relationship. they seem like a good match. ” there’s a wistful, almost nostalgic smile on her lips, “ i was so fucking stubborn coming into this whole thing, and callie’s really made me look at shit differently than i normally would, like, several times in here. she’s a fucking force. i’ve never met anyone like her. so, okay, yeah, even if callie and i aren’t ever on the same page again . . . i’m always going to be rooting for her to find that, ” naomi adds.

how was the challenge ? what was the most memorable moment from it for you ?

“ yeah, ew, are we gonna talk about my toes again ? ” she cringes, groaning. one of the only islanders with a wikipedia entry before entering the show, now she’s going to leave it as one of the only ones with a wikifeet entry. “ though, honestly, charlene is the most difficult person in here for me to get a read on. like, i have absolutely no fucking clue what she thinks of me, and that didn’t help. ” 

is there anyone you have chemistry with or see yourself wanting to get to know better ?

“ dante kind of surprised me yesterday, our chat was . . . i don’t know, fun and a bit unexpected. but he’s since been all over jenny, which is kind of the ultimate turn-off for me, not gonna lie. and i’ve had a lot of fun talking to everyone, zeke’s cute. so tall, ” naomi comments. “ but, this is gonna sound so pathetic, it’s hard to imagine any connection or chemistry matching up to what i’ve already had. ” 

do you see your fellow islanders hitting it off with anyone ?

“ um, isn’t everyone hitting it off ? ” she laughs. “ it was at my own expense, i guess, but . . . i hope callie gives more people a chance today. angel seems pretty into her, and charlene obviously is, too, ” naomi suggests. “ and romi seems settled with jude. ” her lip curls slightly, like she disapproves, but producers can’t get her to add anything more. 

did you share a bed with anyone ? how did that go ? do you think you’ll share with them again ?

“ yeah, angel was really sweet about it. no pressure, made me a coffee in the morning, ” she hums, expression playfully smug, almost coy before she cuts the charade. “ no, no, it’s just been a while since someone came in that i clicked with like this so quickly, feels like chilling out with my friends back home when we’re together. but he’s made it pretty clear he’s not into me, so i’m hoping he asks someone else to share tonight. i’d like it if he got to stick around. ”

what do you think is going on at the other villa ?

a clear frown on glossed lips, contemplative sigh. “ i don’t know. obviously i’ve thought about it a lot. everyone says that dylan’s probably being, like, this perfect angel, but i know he’s in there with josh and a bunch of people that have seen the show . . . ” naomi trails off, tracing her teeth with the tip of her tongue before she adds, “ like i said yesterday, i wouldn’t blame him for cracking on. honestly, i kind of hope that he gives it a shot ? considering the mess i’ve been and the conversation i had with josh last night . . . it’d be fair if he’s weighing his options more. if he does that and it’s still me, well, i don’t know, that’s another conversation, ” naomi says. “ i just wish we’d gotten to talk before he left. ” she leans back a bit now, rolling her eyes, “ and, like, josh is having fun, probably. ”

what are your thoughts on max & dejan’s exit last night? why didn’t you vote for them?

naomi bursts out laughing. “ why didn’t i vote for them ? ” there are tears in her eyes. “ get fucking real. oh my god. ” she’s still catching her breath, fanning her face as she calms down. “ i could kill him for swinging at josh like that, though. i know it’s all cool that josh got a few hits in and we all think the black eye’s sexy, ” right, that’s universal ? “ but i can’t believe you let a guy that abusive and volatile on the show, and, nevermind the way he threatened me, but that you let josh get hurt like that. tell itv that i say ... have fun with those legal bills, bitches. ” that’s definitely getting cut from the edit. 

how are you feeling about the start of casa amor?

“ conflicted ? ” naomi winces. “ i don’t know. i think it’s pretty obvious that the timing is off for me. dylan just made it clear how serious he wants to be, and then that night, josh and i started this conversation that we didn’t get to finish. but even if josh was being genuine, how much can i really trust him ? if he had his tongue down jenny’s throat while we were actively building toward something, it’s not like i can really trust him to be thinking of me right now. and i know it’s selfish to expect that. but it doesn’t change the fact that it drives me fucking crazy to think about. it’s really hard to believe that he’s going to come back here with the same energy he had last night, and that hurts, ” she sighs. “ if anything, i guess this gives me more time to think through the decision i was supposed to make today. but i also just want to like, have fun and get to know all these new islanders. they’re surprisingly, like, really cool ? kudos. ” 

are there any new islanders that have caught your attention? who?

“ not in the way you’re asking, i don’t think. but i’m liking getting to know them ? charlene’s . . . yeah, she’s really hot, but her energy’s really fun, ” naomi explains. “ and dante . . . okay, i have this hunch that there’s like, very little going on between those ears, but it’s, like, impossible not to smile around him. surely someone’s going to climb him like a tree ? ” she asks, like someone behind the camera is about to give her intel from another confessional. “ i think we’re going to have some super fun parties in here the next few days. ” 

are there any new islanders you don’t see yourself vibing with?

a deadpan stare as she rolls her neck, “ jude. ” tongue clicks against her teeth before she continues, “ i’m not about to launch into a speech, but i don’t trust him. he better behave if he’s really interested in romi. ” 

do you think that your head could be turned?

“ i don’t know. it all feels super casual right now, and it’s hard for me to imagine, like, developing deeper feelings than what already exists ? ” naomi shrugs, shifting in her seat. “ i just want to keep it fun, treat the next few days like we’re on spring break and stop stressing so much about everything. if i say the j-word or the d-word one more time, just shoot me. ” naomi mimes a gun with her right hand and pulls the trigger at her temple.

what do you think your ‘other half’ is up to in the other villa right now? how are you feeling about them?

“ funny, ” naomi rolls her eyes as this question follows. “ i don’t know. i’d like to think that he’s missing me, telling all the bombshells how i’m so much cuter in person, ” she flips her hair over her shoulder, a teasing grin. “ but i actually don’t know. i wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t trust me now, and he’s in there with josh, so . . . who knows what kind of chats are being had right now, ” teeth sink into her lower lip for a beat, hesitating before she continues speaking. “ it sucks to think about, but i almost couldn’t blame him for cracking on while i’ve been struggling to figure out where my head is at. if he’s still choosing me . . . well, i guess that would say a lot, wouldn’t it ? ”

how are you feeling in your current couple ?

a smile works it’s way onto her features as she looks up. “ really good. i mean, dylan’s so sweet to me, we can’t keep our hands off each other, and he’s made it pretty clear that he has no intentions of quitting grafting for attention. i’ve always said that it’s just easy with him, and it really is. he hasn’t seen a single mafia film, he makes an amazing breakfast, and he’s teaching me all of those cute australian slang words. we have so much fun. what more could i ask for ? ” 

is there anyone outside of your couple that you’re still chatting to ? do you think your head could be turned ?

“ i don’t know, ” a pause, silence hanging in the air. naomi takes a shaky breath, massaging her temples for a beat. she knows the producers and the viewers have likely seen it all, she can’t completely lie about it. “ it’s been a weird couple of days. and the whole situation with josh, it’s ... that kiss was really confusing. and so was what happened afterward, it’s really been doing my head in . . . ” naomi trails off, like she was about to say something else then stops. “ but like he said, he’s just thrilled to be with someone who isn’t so selfish, so. i’ve got to let this go. ” 

what are your thoughts on the last recoupling ? are there any couples that surprised you ?

“ i felt like it all made perfect sense while it was happening, but looking back . . . obviously marcus and romi shouldn’t have coupled up, i think marcus just didn’t know what else to do. it sucks that they called things off that day, it was just really shit timing, wasn’t it ? ” naomi leans forward, narrowing her eyes at the producer in front of her, pointing her index finger accusitorily, “ but you knew that. ” 

did nana or kenny’s departures affect you at all ? out of everyone left, who would you be most upset to see go home next ?

“ it sucked to say goodbye to kenny, but it was probably both of their times. nana was probably going to struggle since it’s clear she didn’t want to make a connection, and kenny was kind of just here on holiday. no fault to either of them, obviously, but that’s how this whole thing works, ” naomi shrugs. “ i’d really hate to see romi or marcus have to go right now while they’re trying to figure their shit out. they deserve to have the time to land on their feet again, even if it’s not with each other. ” 

a lot happened at the cowboys and aliens party. what were the highlights of the night for you ?

“ besides dejan getting yet another drink thrown on him ? ” she grins cheekily. ‘cause that part of the night was fun. “ yeah, it was a busy night. obviously, marcus . . . i think we’re still in a good place. he’s one of my best friends in here and i don’t think he really meant anything serious by it, right ? ” it’s a rhetorical question, followed by a shrug of her shoulders. “ and yeah, okay, josh and i . . . but dylan was so understanding about the kiss and how i felt about it. i think that just shows he’s the person that i should be focusing on. ” 

which couple do you think has the best chances of lasting to the next recoupling ?

“ at the rate we’ve been going, everyone’s probably fucked. ” naomi grimaces, “ kidding. sort of. ”

talk about what you thought about the results of the public vote. was it surprising ? how do you feel about liam’s exit ?

“ honestly, yeah, it was kind of surprising, ” naomi laughs. “ i think i expected josh and i to be in the bottom with everything that happened the past few days. i’m not sure what it means, like . . . maybe i don’t look like such a mug and josh handled things better than i thought ? or maybe everyone just felt bad for me . . . god, that guy is going to do my head in, i swear, i can’t remember the last time i thought this much about a boy. probably never, ” she rolls her eyes. “ i never got to know liam that well, to be honest. maybe a bit of karma for that time seb badgered me about whether or not i’d leave with josh. now we know what seb would do, ” naomi remarks, a knowing look as she tilts her head. “ surely liam’s dms are blowing up on the outside, though, i mean, those curls ! ” 

what do you think of the new bombshells – are any of them your type ? could your head be turned ?

“ every time we get a new set of bombshells, it just reminds me that i am soooo bad at making new friends, ” she laughs, hiding her face in her hands. “ it’s like the most horrifying trifecta : slapped one, bitched at another, and then licked a tit. i guess you can’t say that i don’t make an impression. ” naomi cringes at herself. “ frankie’s definitely going to be trouble though. ” 

how are you feeling in your current couple ?

“ oh, yikes, ” a grimace that shows her teeth. “ it’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it ? i don’t know. it’s like a fucking roller coaster. i’ve talked about it a bit, how it’s been really intense since the jenny thing and . . . i know he says he’s all in, and i want to believe him, but there’s this part of me that’s just waiting for him to flip the switch back around like, gotcha! the second i totally let down my walls, ” naomi pauses, leaning forward as she gauges the producer reaction. this is a girl that’s clearly never been to therapy and definitely needs it. “ i see how you’re looking at me – that’s totally toxic behavior, isn’t it ? sorry. i like josh so much, i think . . . i don’t know if anyone’s ever gotten me the way he seems to, like sometimes he looks at me and i feel like he’s reading my mind. but at the end of the day, i don’t know if i can trust him. that’s really hard to get over. ” 

is there anyone else you’d like to be coupled up with right now ?

“ is it just me or do these questions feel pointed ? ” naomi asks, an arch of her brow as she looks into the camera. “ but yes, okay, i’m having a lot of fun with dylan right now. maybe it’s because he’s so laid back that i literally just have fun with him, but i’ve definitely got a crush . . . i don’t know where it’s going, he hasn’t really given me that much indication of where his head is at – well, the one on his shoulders, at least, haha. but i’m really glad that he stuck around the other night. i like the person i am around him. ”

“ i’ve kind of got my hands full already, don’t you think ? ” she asks. “ nah, i think you can figure out that i’m in a bit of a mess without me giving you the list. ” 

who do you think is in the weakest couple right now and why ?

“ marcus and romi. jk, ” naomi grins. “ but all the drama aside, i think bash and nana are in trouble. it’s giving total friendzone vibes – they spent a whole night in the hideaway and i haven’t even seen them hold hands. i thought i was a picky bitch, but nana is the fucking queen. i hope she doesn’t settle until she meets someone who actually makes her want to jump their bones. ”

are you happy with how the recoupling went for you? did you get your first choice?

“ yes, fucking finally, right ? ” she laughs. “ it’s weird, i think i’ve spent more nights not coupled with josh than i have with him, but i’m happy that things finally worked out and we can give this a shot. ” 

what was the biggest surprise of the recoupling for you?

“ kenny and romi, obviously. i think we all knew marcus and romi were going to get a test eventually, we just didn’t expect that. i wouldn’t say this in front of all the other islanders, but props to kenny. i think there’s a lot of people in and out of here who have wanted to get to know romi, but haven’t had the balls to really put it out there, so i respect her for going with her gut, ” naomi says. because it was either that or producers promised kenny something . . . and if that’s the case, then naomi doesn’t mind sucking up to producers. “ but i think romi likes it tall, dark and handsome, so i don’t really see it working out in kenny’s favor. ” 

how do you feel about losing charlotte?

“ for me, i hate it. charlotte always told it like it was, and she was like, really good at picking the perfect shade of lipstick, ” naomi sighs. “ but for charlotte, it’s probably a good thing. i don’t think she was really vibing with anyone in here and her dms are probably going to be blowing up on the outside. i can’t wait to go out together on the outside. and hey, for all i know, she and enzo are rekindling their romance as we speak. ” 

what do you think of the new bombshells, maddox and sebastien? are either of them your type/someone you’d go for?

“ they’re fit, for sure, ” naomi agrees. “ i mean, my eyes practically fell out of their sockets when i saw maddox’s arms, did you notice that ? did you make that guy in a lab ? ” she laughs. “ i’ll probably chat with him some more, but mostly to remind josh that i’m hot shit. not that i really need to, anytime maddox and i cross paths he’s untying my suit with his eyes. but i don’t really see anything happening there. personally, i have to be the high maintenance one in the relationship. ” 

who do you think they’re most likely to go for?

“ i was kind of surprised that maddox asked out both me and kenny, because . . . how different can you get ? doesn’t really give me a good sense of his type, ” naomi hums. “ but i do really hope sebastien and nana hit it off. ” 

is there anyone in the villa outside of your couple that you’re still trying to get to know?

“ honestly, i want to try giving me and josh a real shot right now, so he’s got all my attention, ” naomi admits. “ on the outside, i’ve got a reputation with my friends for being kind of flighty about this kind of stuff, so . . . i’m trying to turn over a new leaf in here. i actually really like him. and i think he’s on the same page. so, we’ll see how it goes. ”

“ honestly, i think it’s callie and charlotte. sure, it was a little bit of a surprise, but they can at least get to know each other without mimi looking on over their shoulders. dylan and luke have got a few more obstacles in their path for some guys that just met. ” 

were you surprised by either choice ?

“ a little ? when callie and i spoke, she seemed all about romi and marcus. i think that triangle might still be in progress. i kind of want to talk to marcus about it, but with all the recent chaos, who knows when we’ll have a moment alone. ” 

how do you feel about the public vote determining who goes home, do you trust them ?

“ i’m talking to the public right now, aren’t i ? what am i supposed to say ? ” she laughs, shaking her head. “ i dunno. obviously romi and marcus are going to be really popular, so . . . i don’t know. ” she goes quiet for a moment, bites her lip and shrugs. she doesn’t want to act like a sore loser already, there’s a bit of her that’s still holding on to hope that she could be popular enough to stay. 

who do you think is most likely to leave ?

“ i mean, it’s a toss up between me, layla, josh, and andrea, right ? hard to say, but it sucks no matter what. ” 

which couple do you think most deserves to stay ?

“ i mean, i feel strongly about me and josh. we’ve really been through a lot together, and god, i even slept OUTSIDE for this guy. i actually got a mosquito bite, see ? ” she brandishes her elbow to show off the welt. “ so, i’ll let you all draw your own conclusions, but i haven’t just been sitting pretty around here. i really hope josh and i actually have the chance to see if we can be something real. ”

“ leo’s definitely not my usual type, and it’d be a bit weird anyways because i think our dads are friends ? ” and either way, she’s pretty sure her dad would love leo, and she’s not really interested in any guy she thinks her dad would actually like. “ nana’s fit though, i feel like if i saw her in a club on the outside, i’d definitely try to talk to her. ” 

who do you think they’re most likely to go for?

“ i think leo and layla have some chemistry, charlotte seems like his type too. nana actually said that i was her type, so . . . that could get interesting, ” that’s punctuated with a captivating grin at the camera, like she’s sharing a secret.

“ i think it’s pretty obvious i have a little crush on marcus, but i don’t really see that going anywhere. i’m not going to stop flirting with him, though, ” she laughs. “ but clearly my priority is still about getting to know josh. i think there’s a lot of potential there, he’s so easy to talk to and i’m super attracted to him. ”

“ well, everyone knows josh and i have been getting on pretty well, so obviously . . . ” she trails off with a shrug. “ but it’s complicated. there’s for sure other people in the villa i’d be open to getting to know, depending on how it works out, i’m not trying to drop all my eggs anywhere or whatever they say. ” 

are there any conversations you need to have before tonight?

“ sure. josh and i need to clear the air. i also want to talk to luke, not like . . . for myself or anything, but i want the gossip. what’s he said to you guys ? ”

“ ji-hoon and andrea have been kind of floating in their friendship couple situation, right ? i honestly don’t know if either of them have made other connections. though i kind of think that it’s all going to depend on luke’s choice. ” 

which person would devastate you the most if they left tonight? is there islander that you want to leave?

“ not to be dramatic, but i think it would be really hard for me if layla left. she’s had my back and we’ve got on really well, i’m not ready to lose her around here. she’s also such a personality in the villa, i don’t think i’d be the only one to get upset over it, ” lips press together, and she pauses. “ i’m sure people would expect me to say mimi, but i honestly don’t want her to go. i think it’d really fuck me up, honestly. i’d just feel shitty about my earlier decision, and i want us to have proper time to like, get over it all. so, yeah, i’d be really messed up over it if she was gone. i think i’d actually miss her, too. ”

“ probably marcus and romi, right ? are they already winning this thing, should i just pack my stuff already ? just kidding. but i for sure tried it on marcus a bit when i came in, i think he’s mad cute, and he hasn’t really bothered, so i think that’s a sign that they’re pretty fucking solid, ‘cause . . . i mean, look at me. ”

how are you feeling about entering the villa?

“really buzzed, honestly,” she beams. “there’s a few weird vibes here and there, but most people get that it’s early days and i’m going to do what i have to do. so, most people have been super welcoming and fun.”

is there anyone who you had your eye on already or has caught your eye off the bat that you’d be interested in going for?

“josh was the first person to welcome me, and it’s nice to have a fellow canadian around the villa,” she says. “he’s definitely the type of guy i’d usually go for, though i don’t think mimi would just back down. she’s super fit, too, but we’re so similar.” on the outside, she probably would approach someone like mimi, but since they’re alike, naomi feels like mimi can’t be trusted in the villa. “marcus was actually a bit of a surprise for me, he was really sweet. not my typical type, but i could see us having fun. and i love layla, definitely a bit of me. she comes off so angelic, but i think there’s more to her than that. she’s not going to be single for long, i don’t think. i’d probably make the most friends by picking her, anyway. so, yeah, that’s what i’m choosing between.” 

which couples seem the most solid to you? least solid?

“i mean, romi and marcus are all over each other, it’s clear there was some instant chemistry,” she tries not to roll her eyes. romi hasn’t spoken to her yet, and she wonders if marcus said something to her – but naomi’d like to get to know romi, too, if she’s even open. “and mimi and josh . . . though as far as i can tell, that’s all physical. as for the least solid . . . definitely getting ‘just friends’ vibes from andrea and ji-hoon, but neither of them have shown much of an interest in me either, so maybe that’s just the way they are.”

what people do you see yourself getting along with?

“if we don’t fall in love, layla and i are going to be best friends,” naomi laughs. “and like i said, mimi and i seem pretty similar – she reminds me of some of my friends back home, so. i think we could fucking run this place if we get along. charlotte also seems really sweet, but i can’t tell if she’s too sweet, you know?”

what people do you see yourself not getting along with?

“enzo seems, like, so grumpy. and according to josh, he’s the snorer, so he’s already annoyed me. poor charlotte.”
