Quarantine Tech Tip: How to Stream Movies/Shows/Videos with Friends and Family Online (no matter how far apart you are!)
Hi, all! Coronavirus continues to sweep the world. One way to keep socializing with your friends and family is to stream content together online.
There’s a lot of different programs that allow you to watch things together in perfect synchronization, and to use text/voice chat while viewing. Some of the basic options include:
https://www.watch2gether.com/ - where you can enjoy Youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, and Dailymotion content together, or shop together on Amazon using an integrated chat room. It creates an instant chat/viewing room without registration.
https://www.mycircle.tv/ - where you can watch things like YouTube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, and possibly even twitch.tv together. It creates an instant chat/viewing room without registration. You can create a whole playlist of videos to watch.
https://www.netflixparty.com/ - an extension ONLY for Chrome, which allows you to sync up your Netflix viewing with others and message together while watching. The only downside is that you must have Netflix yourself for it to work, even if you’re just the one viewing. Another issue is that you have to create a new session for each episode you watch.
https://picarto.tv/ - where you can watch artists streaming as they screenshare and work on their projects. This is not optimized for viewing shows/movies together, but I wanted to add it because it’s fun to watch people draw and interact with artists!
But what about being able to sync up over content available on Netflix, Hulu, or even videos on your own computer desktop?
Over the last couple of days, some friends and I have been testing some of the more agile programs that allow you to have greater control over the websites you can share and the ways you can interact. Those programs include:
Kast: https://kast.gg/
TwoSeven: https://twoseven.xyz/
To stream content, both of these programs require that you 1) sign up with a free account, and 2) that you use certain technology to ensure it functions:
KAST
Kast is the new version of the old Rabbit app, available at: https://kast.gg/. You can watch movies with 100+ friends online while chatting through voice/video or text. There doesn’t appear to be a limit in terms of what you can watch through this. You can share:
Your entire screen
Any application window (website tabs, desktop programs, you name it--including Netflix and other streaming services that your viewers may not have while you do)
Your webcam
Other advantages:
Kast has several personalization features and supports a lot of languages.
You can invite people by sharing a link to your party room.
Your party room is automatically private, unless you change settings to make it fully public.
You can create multiple parties to enjoy things with different people.
You can add moderators, or kick/ban/block people.
You can access a list of other people’s public parties and search by tags to find content you want.
You can use emoji reactions in chat.
You have a lot of control over how to send or receive sound.
Their privacy policy is pretty expansive with lots of ways for you to contact them.

Kast is very quick to show content (very little loading/buffering time)
Its app is optimized for either Windows or Mac.

Or if you just want to view someone else’s stream, you can use the web version through a Chrome browser. If you are joining a stream, you may have to sit through a brief advertisement to gain access to the streaming room.
Kast caveats:
You have to be 13 years of age to sign up and use the app, according to Terms of Service: https://kast.gg/legal/Kast_Terms_of_Service.htm
Kast retains the right to use any of your posted content for its own self-promotion opportunities, according to its Terms of Service.
Kast screens/monitors content according to its Terms of Service, to ensure legal compliance.
Kast technical disadvantages:
You have to download the app to actively stream content. The web version does not support voice/video streaming—it just allows you to join other streams.
It might not be the most optimized for mobile use. (In testing, my friends and I struggled to get audio to work.)
You may experience some lag at random times. But in general, we had a very smooth, in-sync stream while watching most of a movie. It glitched only once and that was because the movie file itself had a glitch.
To get movie audio to play for others, your own audio settings as a streamer MUST be set to Computer Audio. So this means if you get pings on Discord, others can hear it. Ideally, you’d also want to use the text-chat function instead of voice while viewing, to avoid feedback issues.
Depending on your tech, you might experience a black-screen when trying to share something. This didn’t happen during our test while using the app and VLC Player/Youtube/Netflix, but Kast does have a troubleshooting section on their site: https://kast.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/360006131691-Video-issues
TwoSeven
Another free streaming service is TwoSeven (or, 27), available at: https://twoseven.xyz.
TwoSeven is another very impressive service that is entirely based online (no app needed to stream). Once you sign up for a free account, you can easily create a room and stream content from a variety of places, including:
Youtube
Netflix
Amazon
HBO
VIMEO
Personal (files on your desktop)
Web
TwoSeven advantages:
Intuitive, simple interface that exists fully online (no downloadable app required)
Audio/text function works while viewing video content.
You can share your webcam.
Videos stream with high-quality picture.
You can toggle who is able to adjust video controls.
People who receive the link to your stream room do not need to sign up to use the interface.
TwoSeven caveats:
Minors (people under the age of 18) are prohibited in the Terms of Service from using this website.
The service reserves the right to use any of Your Content, according to the Terms and Conditions: https://twoseven.xyz/help/terms-and-conditions.html. I would assume most likely for promotion, but it’s silent on its purposes.
The website reserves the right to kick you for not complying with its rules, but it oddly doesn’t say how it would know. Odds are, it engages in some kind of monitoring/recording of content as well.
TwoSeven disadvantages:
You need to download an extension to get the website to work well with sharing online content outside of YouTube. Otherwise, you may be left in a permanent buffering purgatory.
It’s not optimized for sharing your computer screen; the Personal option requires that you upload a video to share, and the buffering for that can take several minutes.
It requires all users to have accounts on the streaming service that they're using. So if you want to watch Netflix together, each viewer will need an account (or a Netflix profile if your account supports multiple profiles).
It cannot bypass regional restrictions for video content.
We experienced an issue where audio was out of sync with visuals on longer files.
Some people experienced audio issues depending on their headset.
There is no option to make your streaming public. So you’d have to post the link in a public place to drive traffic to it.
It is not connected to any other streams, so you’re unable to join other streaming communities through TwoSeven.
Conclusion
There are always advantages or disadvantages to any service you use. I wanted to share all this to bring awareness to the possibilities, as well as their capabilities and limitations. Nothing’s ever perfect, lol. But I hope this information can help you all find the best streaming service for your interests/needs, and that streaming can help you stay connected with friends and family!

Nature Trail to Hell Arc II: Watt outta Hell (11)
Chapter 11: F-Bomb Teaches Me the Secret to Being a Successful Rock Star
Weird as it sounds, the weeks I’d spent in the Underworld never felt like a real punishment. There were demons, sure, and I’d been shot more than a few times, and I’d been given dinosaur feet against my will, but overall, I’d say it was still a step up from summer camp.
That all changed over the next three days. F-Bomb, Sailor Moon and I perfected our talents to a montage that would have made Rocky look like one of those videos parents make of their kid learning to walk. We worked until we collapsed. Then worked our worthless sacks of bodies until they broke down into puddles, which we’d drink for hydration, then it was back to the grind. The only one who didn’t work out was Sailor Moon, on account her leg was still a bit mangled from the flight. And F-Bomb insisting she was perfect the way she was, as usual. But that was okay, since she was only playing drums. By the time the third day arrived, we had biceps the size of footballs. All was good, except for one thing.
“You know, maybe we should have perfected our singing instead of working out our bodies.” I told F-Bomb.
“Kid, if there’s one thing pop stars have taught me, it’s that your music can be the most vapid, pointless schlock in the world, but if you have a hot bod, the world is your racquetball court.”
“But I hate racquetball.”
“Too bad! We’re on in an hour!”

If you ever go on Dailymotion, type in ‘Sailor Moon Blues Bros’. Keep scrolling down (further!) until you get to the very last option. Click on it, and you’ll see a video posted by Hellspawn47 of a velociraptor and a boy singing ‘Soul Man’. (And yes, that is what we are singing. The audio’s garbage. And don’t get me started on the lens flare!) The boy will be dressed in a tuxedo, while the raptor will be dressed as Sailor Mini Moon and wearing an eyepatch. In the background, you’ll see a Sailor Moon pillow leaning over a rusty drum set. So if you ever wonder what the heck’s going on in the video, now you know the whole story. (Also, make sure the guy is wearing A TUX. There’s a really similar one where the guy is wearing a hula skirt instead. I have no idea where the video came from, but believe me you DO NOT want to watch it all the way through! Shudder.

Funny thing was, it was actually F-Bomb who got freaked out. Apparently, when you’re not on WEEB, dressing up like a cute schoolgirl in front of over 400,000,000 damned souls isn’t so much empowering as it is embarrassing. I even had to nudge him a few times to keep him from freezing up! As for me, I got over my stage fright using the good old Tostig family method of imagining everyone as Ronald Reagan. (Though slapping the face of America’s greatest president on the bodies of the Underworld’s most unsurely residents did make things a tad awkward.)
Speaking of high-ranking hellspawn, at the back of the crowd was none other than Raposa, head judge of the whole hooplah and Princess of the First Circle (though F-Bomb told me she was more like a Prime Minister). Even with the bright lights threatening to burn my eyes out, I could see her, about five feet high with spiky pink hair, getting high off a drink that was more than likely grape juice (which is considered sinfully high in sugar in the First Circle). The moment we finished singing, she was clapping so hard I’m amazed her hands didn’t fall off.
“Bravo!” She howled, strutting to the front of the crowd as they parted like the Red Sea.
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
“Bravo! That, my friends, has to be the best music I’ve heard in ages!”
“You mean blues music? Its noth-“
“Finally, someone did a song that wasn’t pop or rap! Do you know what it’s like to hear Spice Girls for the 500,000th time? Now that’s eternal punishment!” She glared at the crowd. “And take notes, nerds! Your princess demands it!”
Immediately the assorted cretins that were the crowd started etching notes in their skin. Some even took their brains right out of their skulls out and wrote in there.
“So does that mean we won or what?” demanded F-Bomb, face red as a beet from embarrassment.
“With that gigantic biceps of yours, you could have sung Nickelback and won!”
Despite the compliment, F-Bomb looked like he was about to melt into a puddle. “I-I told you these things were mostly spectacle.” He whispered to me.
Raposa grabbed our muscled arms, lifting them high in the air. “Now, without further ado, I hereby declare F-Bomb and the Turd-“
Now, if there’s one thing I learned from being in Hell a couple of weeks, it’s that there is always a catch. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, there’s a catch. And for F-Bomb and I? Ours was about to catch up with us big time.
“Now wait just a f*cking minute!” Someone bellowed backstage. A very familiar demon wearing a sparkly vest and a pair of panama hats on each of his giant horns swaggered onto the stage. “I seen those boys, and those boys been cheating!”

I knew I should have been nervous, but it was hard to be intimidated by a demon that, only fifteen minutes ago, you’d seen do a (very bad) cover of ‘Baby Got Back’.
He sauntered over to us like he owned the place. “Now if I remember right, these fools parked their machine gun in the wheelchair space without bein’ crippled. That counts as grounds for disqualification!”
F-Bomb cringed. You see, before we started training, F-Bomb and I had to park our gun in the lot. Only problem was, we were in the hippie part of Hell, so all the spaces had wheelchair signs on them for the next 500 miles. Our solution to this mess? We did what my Dad usually does and pretended our feet were asleep. If only I knew how badly this would come to bite us all in the butt, I would have just lugged the thing in with me.
“Well, my foot’s asleep!” Protested F-Bomb. “That counts, doesn’t it!?”
The demon stamped down on F-Bomb’s foot. Hard.
They say F-Bomb screamed so loud it caused an Earthquake up in California. All I know is that I learned what it was like to have my ears gush blood like Niagara Falls gushed water. (Painful, but weirdly awesome in its’ own right.)
The demon gestured to the crowd “Does this sound like the voice of a guy whose foot is asleep?!”
The crowd, who only moments before had been cheering us on, was now a chorus of boos.
“Sailor Moon!” cried F-Bomb, “Do something!”
But even Sailor Moon could not help us now, slumped over a drum set. too shamed to assist.
Meanwhile, Raposa pulled a piece of paper out of her back pocket. Reading through it, she hummed
“Yuppers, you guys just broke the rules.”
F-Bomb was completely silent, content to just let raptor tears stain his pink dress.
I looked at Raposa. She was about my height, but now she seemed to tower over me like the Empire State Building.
“Um, what are you going to do to us?”
She grinned, showing off rows upon rows of serrated teeth. “What do you think, dum-dum? Go on, guess.”

Facebook would be my all-time favorite social media platform. LinkedIn is my favorite and if you are

website. The sole purpose of LinkedIn is to connect the Job Seekers with the
Head Hunters and Business to the customers. LinkedIn has more than 590 Million
users out of which 100 million users are active every day.
On LinkedIn you can easily connect with
your target audience, and filters of LinkedIn makes it easier for the user to
filter out the less required information and focus on the core target. You can
also create a company page on LinkedIn and I suggest you should do it now. It
does not cost anything but will help you keep a position on world’s largest

Reddit has a monthly usage of 330 million.
Mainly Reddit is used for discussions related to Computer Sciences and Software

information quite often, you must have interaction with Medium. Even if you had
no interaction in the past, you should go now and sign up (You can thank me
later). Medium has more than 65 million active users per month. As compared to
Facebook or Instagram, 60 million doesn’t look so big a number, but believe me
this not a place for chit chat. You only find genuine information from one of
the most authentic sources and well reputed writers. If you are a blogger you
should sign up (its free) and start sharing the content of your blog over
Medium as well. Even large brands promote their content on Medium to reach out
to the public.
I think Medium is going to become the next google of news. (Believe me nothing is sponsored on this blog)
9. Flickr.com
Flickr was launched in 2004 and was a hit.
Before Instagram, Flickr was the only photo sharing platform. With the invent
of Instagram, most of the public moved away from Flickr. The most important
feature of flicker is that if you are running a business and the pictures you
design are your sole property and must not be used by others, then you can mark
copyright on your photos. This is the thing you cannot do on any other social
media platform. You might think that who use flicker now a days, then you

If you are a Blogger then Digg is a best
system for the promotion of your blog. With Digg.com you can share your blog
link and it will appear on Diggs list and will automatically promote it. Digg
has a simple interface. You put link to your blog in the Digg with a small
description and select a category in which your blog post falls. Then Digg
shows your blog to the viewers who are interested in that particular category.
The Digg users then can view and mark Digg on your post. The more your post

which is huge.

Most people know Tik Tok and believe me or
not it is addictive. China even banned Tik Tok in India and still the total
worth of Tik Tok is $75 Billion dollars which is more than the worth of Uber.
The main purpose of Tik Tok is to record videos of upto 60 seconds and add
music and effects in the video and upload it. As of June 2018, Tik Tok has 500
million active monthly users. Tik Tok is currently installed on more than 800
million smartphones. The limitation of “Recording Vide Only” makes Tik Tok our
16th favorite Social Media App, maybe in near future with additional
features I would like to change it to the No.1 on my list.
17. WeChat
WeChat is not just a networking app but
more than that. WeChat trying to capture all the market and offering a
One-Stop-Shop kind of service. You can use WeChat to Shop online, transfer
money, make reservations (Hotel Bookings), call a Taxi and more. WeChat has
more than 1.06 Billion active users every month. Currently WeChat is famous in
Asia and most of it is in China. So if you want to expand your business in Asia
or already are working in Asia then you should make your presence on WeChat as
well.
18. Qzone
Qzone is another Chinese Social Networking
platform. It is used for sharing images or videos, writing blogs and playing
games. It is kind of Chinese Facebook. Qzone is more famous in youngsters
(teens) as compared to WeChat which is more popular among adults. Qzone is a
desktop based social networking platform with an average of 632 million users active
every month. Your presence on such a platform will create an impact in
Long-Run.
19. Telegram
Telegram is not very different from other
apps such as WhatsApp but it is considered to be more secure. You can send and receive
data with your friends in a safe manner. You can use Telegram for business for
Customer Services. You can create Chatbots for Telegram Platform or use
Telegram’s “Broadcast” feature to send messages or notifications to unlimited
number of subscribers.

Most of us use WhatsApp but don’t really

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (May 9, 2017 episode review)
Episode 210
Recap:
Getting the heiresses back
Pirena went back to Hagorn’s camp, the latter has been expecting her. Pirena “made up her mind” and has finally decided to surrender the fire gem to Hagorn, and even though she “failed” to convince her sisters to do the same, Hagorn already has three gems in his possession, two gems are better than three. Hagorn was suspicious at first, careful not to fall for the same trick Danaya once pulled on Avria. Pirena proved him wrong by showing off the gem’s wonders, Hagorn was finally convinced, but Pirena demanded for her beloved sang’gres in exchange. Hagorn took her to Old Etheria where they tied up the princesses. Ybrahim and Alena who apparently has been keeping an eye on Pirena from afar followed Hagorn and Pirena all the way to Old Etheria. Pirena was ecstatic to finally see her daughter and niece alive and well. Just as agreed, Pirena surrendered her fire gem. Hagorn thought he gained the upper hand, he was wrong, for the fire gem will never follow his command if it is not whole. Apparently, the sisters used Lira’s sword, through the sang’gres’ blessing, Lira’s weapon gained enough power to cut a portion of Pirena’s fire gem and this portion was used to deceive Hagorn in order to win back Lira and Mira without sacrificing the powerful brilyantes. They casted a protective spell using Mine-a’s scepter to prevent Hagorn (or perhaps Ether) to find out about their plans. Hagorn was enraged, a battle ensued, Alena and Ybrahim aided Pirena and successfully rescued the diwanis. It was a huge slap to Hagorn’s face that he was outsmarted by his own daughter.
Meanwhile, Manik who found himself guilty for betraying the diwatas which led to the deaths of many decided to make it up by avenging those who have perished, he encountered a group of vidaljes where he single-handedly fought them. In the end Manik perished, his dying wish was for Emre to forgive him for everything he has done. Muyak and Azulan found his corpse later on, they knew Manik chose the good side in the end and sacrificed himself to serve justice to those who suffered because of his treachery. Azulan paid respect to him, Manik will now be remembered as a hero. Azulan and Muyak immediately ordered to prepare a proper burial for Rehav Manik.
The destruction of Destruction
Emre has been training himself at handling Haliyah’s weapon, one of it’s many wonders is that it is able to sense of an enemy is nearby. Ether and Arde appeared, Emre and Cassiopeia challenged the two in battle, Ether and Arde “merged” and became a two headed beast. Emre and Cassiopeia would have been defeated if two ivtres didn’t come and rescue them, the ivtres brought Emre and Cassiopeia to safety. Turned out, it was Alira Naswen, the former Mashna of Sapiro and Gamiel [?] (me: I didn't get his name but sounds like it, sarreh!), a former Lirean soldier and father of Mira. The two narrated how they were able to escape: when the evil gods took over Emre, Ades became worried for Kahlil was nowhere to be found, turned out he was able to escape, and through the help of Ades who bravely sacrificed herself, Alira Naswen and Gamiel (?) were able to escape. The trio’s plan was to free the ivtres who hailed from the royal clans since they are much stronger and more powerful, wise decision as it seemed, but Kahlil was captured once again, Alira and Gamiel (?) was on the verge of giving up but was relieved that they have found Cassiopeia and Emre. Through the de-jar, Emre was able to cast a protective barrier to prevent Ether and Arde from finding them, Emre had high hopes that Keros will finally change his mind and take their side. Unfortunately, something happened, Cassiopeia saw the corpse of Keros in her vision, he was killed by Arde because of his treachery, Kahlil who saw his lifeless body in the flesh lost all hope for Devas’ future.
Rave/s:
💎Finally! An episode worth the rave! So glad Alena’s plan worked, but I guess happiness will be short-lived, I am kinda predicting that if Arde dies Lira and Mira will definitely back to being corpses once again thus they have to make the most difficult decision ever, I think Lira and Mira will really die for real in the end and Cassiopeia will become goddess and this will pave way for Cassandra’s creation and then cliff-hanger in the end. The possibility of an AleBarro come back is still there because like what you bessies said, even if the relationship Ybrahim and Alena has is platonic, maybe it’s the writer’s way of developing AleBarro, honestly I don’t like this idea because it really seems like Ybrahim is no good without an other half, and that he wasn’t being truthful when he claimed that he will always wait for his reunion with Amihan. And I would really like to see Ybrahim develop as a sole character, but oh well, like I mentioned before, Encantadia 2016 to 2017 is dependent on love teams no one can deny that fact. I won’t be surprised if they pushed through an AleBarro end game since Ariana’s character didn’t have that much development and Ybriana is an epic fail as well. So sad that Joross’ Manik had to die before the grand finale but I enjoyed every bit of his good guy-baddie role, truly an actor worth raving.
Rant/s:
🤔The conceptualization of the gods was far from what I have been thinking, after watching the episode tonight, I concluded that Emre is nowhere near the god I was expecting him to be. He is no different from his creations which is why his characterization is such an epic fail. The problem I see in this narrative is the way the writers incorporated the concept of gods in paganism and Christianity. It is said that the five gods of Encantadia came from heaven, the home of God (the real God) and they were banished for being neutral in the war against the “dark forces,” therefore, since heaven only has God and Jesus as well…Gods, Emre and co can also be considered as “fallen angels” except that they didn’t got stuck in hell or something like that. Which explains why the gods of Encantadia aren’t as powerful as what I was expecting them to be, if that’s what they have been trying to convey then they shouldn’t have addressed Emre as the “most powerful god,” he is powerful but he can be defeated just like Ether and Arde, they should have tagged him as king of the gods instead, because if he is oh so powerful and if he does see everything he should have known about Arde and Ether’s plans in the first place, may live streaming sa Devas diba? Also I don’t think it was a good idea to think that the existence of gods came from a Supreme God, the existence of gods in reality is based on someone’s belief. Encantadia believes in Emre but not God, the therefore he doesn't exist in the Encantadia universe. There should be a separation between two realities, they should have made Emre and God co-exist in two different realms instead of “coming” from the same God because this is what basically is the story of the gods is all about. And since Encantadia tackles more about Filipino myths, then the story of how the Encantadia universe was created should have been more…mythical, like the existence of Ma’at (Order) and Isfet (Chaos) and how it brought fourth the other gods and how these gods created the earth and blah, blah, blah (Egyptian mythology). I don’t know if I am making myself clear but it’s just that I have very different views when it comes to the concept of gods being incorporated in a story. I don’t know if you guys get my point but if you happen to be a fanatic of the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles Trilogy, you’ll know what I mean.

You will notice that for May 1st, we will be having a Patreon Viewers’ Choice! Here’s how it works – for Event Comics Month, I held a poll for what event comics would be covered during that period. Since it was a pretty big success (and because May has five weeks in it), at the end of Athena #3, I will provide a link to a Patreon poll where patrons can vote between three comics that will be reviewed that week. Because it’s been a while since I spotlighted any, they will most likely be PSA Hell subjects. Anyone who contributes at any level to the Patreon can vote in them, but it will be limited only to those patrons. They’ll have a week to vote, then I’ll announce the winner. I’d love to do more like this and we’ll see how it goes with this.
Otherwise, as always, the schedule is subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, illnesses, or just the material not providing anything to work with for a humorous review.
Platform Changes?
The recent scare concerning my youtube channel is, for the moment, resolved. If you haven’t heard about this, you can read up on it HERE. Needless to say, it is over. However, there are still other issues that need to be dealt with. I have recently been informed that Screenwave’s partnership with the JW Player is coming to an end due to the costs of maintaining it. They’ll still remain as you my youtube MCN, at the very least (certainly appreciated after they were instrumental in getting my channel back up).
So what does that mean for the site? Well, that’s uncertain. I’ve contacted the JW Player to see if I can remain and I’d certainly like to – replacing the embed codes around here for a THIRD time would not be fun, especially since we still have occasional hiccups in that department from either lost videos from others or just ones where the embed code has not been replaced. That being said, I do understand the problems people have had with the player. I have not experienced the ad that many have (the still image that seems to prevent the video from ever playing), but I know people DO want to support the site and my work, which is why the youtube versions are so invaluable.
They’ve been helpful in another way – simply put, I make more money on youtube than I do on the Screenwave player. Part of this is sheer volume – more people watch it on youtube, so of course I get revenue there. It’s also partially because people are watching them ON YOUTUBE ITSELF vs. having the videos embedded – ads played through embeds (assuming they play at all) simply don’t pay out the same as when they’re watched on youtube. I have the advantage that with the Screenwave player on this site, there are no competing ads to deal with, so I get a larger revenue share than I do from the embeds on, say, Channel Awesome.
However, if the player DOES have to change yet again, we’re in a bit of a dilemma. I had the previous Screenwave player up and running while Blip was still in operation for a few more months, but I don’t really have yet another player entirely lined up yet. Here’s the issue we have: what player to embed if I have to change over to another?
–DailyMotion: Unfortunately, DailyMotion has similar issues to youtube – they have their own ContentID system. However, their support system for dealing with copyrighted material is even less functional than youtube’s, if you can believe that. What’s more, there is a limit on how many videos one is allowed to upload per day, meaning it would take quite a while to get my backlog onto DailyMotion.
–Vid.Me: Because of its growing popularity, I HAVE set up a Vid.Me account and have begun uploading videos to it. However, those videos are currently unlisted for a very good reason – the same reason why I am reluctant to use it as a new player on the site – Vid.Me does not have ads. The system is entirely tip-based. If it is a superior player to the JW Player, then more people will be able to watch videos on my site directly… but that would also mean less revenue overall. It IS an option, possibly the best option especially since they pride themselves for the ability to actually speak to humans when dealing with copyright matters (plus no ContentID system, AFAIK).
–Amazon: Amazon actually started pushing out their own video distribution system a year or two ago. Some of the other video producers on Channel Awesome gave it a shot at the time, buuuut were mostly unimpressed, especially since the videos required a hardcoded subtitle system for the hearing impaired. It’s not a bad thing to have that, but it’s time-consuming to create that, especially since Amazon used a proprietary format. It’s recent enough that I don’t really know how useful it’d really be, or if it’d be a paid service for people and I prefer my videos be free for anyone to watch.
–Vimeo: Vimeo IS a possibility. It’s a fairly solid platform, although like with Vid.Me it doesn’t really have ad-based content. In fact, from what I understand, you have to pay THEM to put ads on the videos and I don’t actually know how profitable that is. It still has its own ContentID system, it’s just a bit more lenient and, like Vid.Me, you can actually resolve it by talking to human beings.
–Just Embed the Youtube Videos: This option… has its problems. Like I said above, embedded youtube videos don’t earn as much money as one does by just watching on youtube’s site. And frankly, if they’re embedded already, there’s no reason to GO to youtube to watch them. In addition, as we saw with the suspension of my channel, it’s nice to have a backup video player on hand so that people CAN watch stuff (for the most part, since many still had problems watching them) if something happens. Still, I’m open to anything.
So there we go. I’m eager to hear people’s feedback, although hopefully there won’t be any need to change anything. We’ll see, though.
History of Power Ranger Rangers
It sadly feels like, despite my continual attempts to highlight these update posts whenever possible, encouraging people to visit the site, people will often miss that, indeed, they exist and often have the information they’re looking for. That information usually being “When’s the next History of Power Rangers coming?” And, of course, thanks to Patreon you HAVE that answer again… and perhaps even more to come, but that’ll be discussed below in the Patreon section.
In any event, Dino Charge is coming, as I stated in the last State of the Wall post. No, I still have not watched any more than last time. I’ll be doing that in April. No, I have not watched any of Ninja Steel and it’s likely I won’t be until it comes time to do that one. If you wanted my opinions on the movie, I did a Midnight Screenings video for Brad Jones on it, which you can find on my site by searching for it or searching his own site or youtube page.

T-Shirts
Sorry to say that the Comicron Crew shirt did not get enough sales to justify keeping it around on Shark Robot. As a reminder, shirts require 20 pre-orders in order to remain on their site permanently. That being said, this one was partially my fault – giving it three colors meant it was technically three different shirts, so it spread the potential preorder sales in too many directions. Still, combined they wouldn’t have added up to 20 anyway.
I’m going to continue with the shirt idea – patrons will be able to vote on the next shirt among five options every few months and hopefully next time around we’ll get a keeper. As a reminder, though, the I am a Man shirt is still available HERE and those who DID preorder the Comicron Crew shirts will get them.
Patreon
The Patreon is getting a few revisions! For starters, I’m going to be ending the $30 “Video Promotion” pledge. In recent times, few have taken advantage of it (either because of squatters in the spot or simple noninterest). The pledge will disappear at the end of March. I am of course open to suggestions for other pledge perks that could be done.
The bigger news is this – the milestones have been reorganized! I had originally placed the tiers much higher due to the fact that when I originally began the Patreon, I grouped them all so closely together that they all got fulfilled quickly. SO quickly, in fact, that I am still struggling to fulfill them two years later (some, like the additional Longbox videos, were easier – the AT4W Episode Guide not so much). It was also hoped that it would encourage more people to contribute to it and hopefully reach some loftier goals.
Unfortunately, it has not proven so – possibly BECAUSE they’re so much higher. As such, here are the new milestone levels, and definitely more likely to be achieved than going as high as $6000.
$3500: A Let’s Play of Star Trek: Elite Force II will be made and on a schedule.
$4000: Other “History of…” videos will be produced, in particular focusing on other American tokusatsu works like Beetleborgs, VR Troopers, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, etc.
$5000: Both a 90s Kid and a Harvey Finevoice show will be produced, though due to the workload of other projects, will NOT be on a schedule.
So yeah, hopefully with the rearrangement of those goals as being a lot closer to where we are now, it will encourage people to get there.
As a reminder, ONLY those who pledge at the $10 level are given a spot in the end credits. You can of course give more than $10, but you have to specifically select THAT perk to get it. Those in the $20 pledge slot for a DVD and badge are NOT given the name in the end credits.
Let’s Play Pokémon Omicron
The next Pokémon Omicron stream is scheduled for Monday, May 8th at 7 PM Central time! The current plan is stop playing the game after the Elite 4 (or, at least, the conclusion of the main storyline of the game). I know many would like me to do the post-game quests, but frankly this Let’s Play has gone on for far too long already and the end is finally in sight, with the last stream managing to get us the seventh badge. I’d be happy to return to the game someday, but I have hopes for more gaming content on the site and having an unfinished Let’s Play hanging over things is kind of irritating.
As it happens, I’ve been working hard in getting more videos pumped out for it! I’m hoping we can continue at a good pace, releasing several per week so we can finally be caught up, especially since at the time of this posting the episodes next coming out are from a stream done last year. Obviously we still have some catching up to do with the amount of footage I have.

The Deathmate Problem
As I have mentioned in the PO Unboxing videos and at conventions, I have many copies of Deathmate and I’d like to finally get around to reviewing them. For those unaware, Deathmate is the infamous crossover between Image and Valiant that likely is responsible for the beginning of the end of Valiant Comics. It’s been heavily requested by viewers before, with some speculating I’m saving it for a major episode… but nah, that’s not the case. I can tell you it’s not going to be this year, because I had INTENDED to review them as the first thing in January 2018. However, I’ve run into a few problems with that.
Firstly, Deathmate has a total of six issues, including prologue and epilogue. However, each issue has multiple stories within it – meaning if I were to do two issues per week, I’d actually be reviewing quite a few stories at once… aaaand let’s face it, with how generic a lot of early Image books were, there’s a reason we’ve mostly focused on Youngblood-related stuff. That means we’d be covering a crossover between a lot of characters that neither I nor the viewers are necessarily familiar with. Basically it’d be three weeks in a row of “I don’t know who these people are.” So that brings us to the next question: would people prefer we wait for Deathmate until we’ve met some more Image or Valiant characters? And finally: would people prefer we have all of Deathmate in a big three-week period or, like some other miniseries I’ve done, be spread out over however long it takes?
Longbox of the Damned
As I mentioned last time, the storyline for AT4W has taken FAR LONGER than it should have. There are still many segments left and I’m hoping to finally get those out of the way in the coming months. However, that runs right into the issue of all my other projects I’m working on. Pokémon Omicron is fine – it’s not on any set schedule, so it can be put on the backburner if it needs to. However, the summer Longbox videos have become their own thing, necessitating a lot of time in planning, filming, and editing – especially if I do intend to stick to the daily schedule. As we saw last year with the Twilight Zone comics, it’s proven very difficult to get those videos out as planned.
As such, I am open to the idea that this year, we may just have to skip the Midsummer’s Nightmare and use its theme for next year. An alternative idea I had was maybe less videos, but more content – covering multiple things in a single video and spread them out over a week, or weekly over the course of a month or so. I’ d love to hear some thoughts on this, since I certainly want to do the summer videos, but it’s very stressful on top of everything else going on.

Animinneapolis – Once again, for any of you Minnesota locals who want to meet me, I’ll be at Animinneapolis at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in, well, Minneapolis on May 26-28!
EDIT: Sadly, Wausaubicon has been cancelled, so I will not be making an appearance there.
Anime Midwest – I’ll of course be at Anime Midwest again at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois on July 7-9!
I’ve gotten confirmation that I will NOT be attending Too Many Games this year. This doesn’t mean I won’t attend in future years, just that they want to rotate out some people to make sure the experience is fresh for attendees and not ALWAYS the same people every year. Expect some more con announcements for the rest of the year!

I tried looking for other sites but they had limits for storage space, file size etc. Plus, the reason I got a vk.com account in the first place was that I wanted to watch CTQ videos uploaded there (That still haven’t been removed after 2+ years, which made me more confident in uploading there), so I thought why don’t I do the same?
I apologize if this is inconvenient for you, but this was the best option for me. If you do need to have an account for future videos, just know that you don’t really need to use your real personal info; I didn’t. :P The ones up now don’t need an account, so you’re good for the time being!

I wouldn’t be shocked if Ariana dies this week, with all honesty, I don’t care that much. The show has been killing a lot of characters lately so bakit hindi nalang sagarin? Total annihilation? No probs, they already did that during the seven guardians’ arc so I’m already prepared for the possible (sapantaha ko lang bes) deaths of Ariana, Muros, Aquil, and even Memfes. At this point I’m already used to character deaths so…whatever.
💚Pero in fairness naman to that Alena-Memfes scene, mej kinilig ako ng slight. Good job at Gabbi for making that scene work, I gotta say Lance did fairly well, not what I was expecting but at least it’s not that malamya compared to Arra’s so-called acting. Love that team Lireo still knows how to take some things lightly and still haven’t forgotten to smile even if it’s just for a little while.
💎Hm…what else? Oh yes, yes I am actually excited at Mine-a vs her daughters scene! I doubt they’ll be able to "kill” Mine-a (they can’t really kill Mine-a since she’s an ivtre) but if it’s possible that would be so fuckin’ epic, just imagining the sang’gres’ faces are priceless, and then Mine-a will break free from the spell, return to Devas and gather back ups so that psycho Hagorn will be killed. Hahahahahaha!
Rant/s:
🤔I am frustrated at how Emre did not use the de-jar to kill Ether when he had the chance, that’s incredibly stupid, or if killing a god isn’t possible, then why not banish her somewhere, or turn her into a stone or whatever? Come on seriously?
🙄Wala na talaga akong aasahan kay Arra, until the end she has proven that she does not deserve her role and she does not deserve to be a part of Enca’s cast ensemble. I hope Mulawin does not make the same mistake Encantadia did and although I don’t have any plans of following MVR’s story because I never watched the prequel, I wish them all the best, still deciding which show will I make a review—will it be Jennylyn’s My Love from another star or Impostora which is by the way one of my favorite GMA shows because it starred Iza and Shine back then, although I am crossing my fingers that the network will also come up with new and original shows, preferably a psycho-thriller like La Vendetta, I miss seeing shows like that on Philippine TV.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (April 20, 2017 episode review)
Episode 197
Recap:
The Cursed Weapon
Haliyah found herself locked up inside a barrier which angered the goddess. Emre and Cassiopeia came, the former was surprised and was puzzled as to why Cassiopeia had to imprison her, Haliyah was a very evasive goddess thus she had to make drastic measures to capture her. Emre calmed her down and introduced himself, Haliyah angrily asked who locked her up, Cassiopeia admitted what she did and freed Haliyah. Cassiopeia would have been punished if it weren’t for Emre’s intervention, Emre narrated about how Ether, Arde and Keros teamed up and banished him from Devas, and explained that Cassiopeia did that because they needed her help. Haliyah confirmed that Emre was telling the truth after seeing Ether’s poison slowly sucking the lives out of Emre and Cassiopeia. Haliyah warned that once the poison spread on their entire bodies, it will weaken them, turn them into stones which will lead to their deaths. Unfortunately, Haliyah could not help them but told them about the plant she once stole from Devas and planted it on Encantadia, the tree of life which was guarded by Evades when he was still alive. But the tree died along with Evades, this means that the antidote to Ether’s poison is the mother tree in Devas. But the journey there would be very difficult. Haliyah told them to look for her weapon which she apparently threw many years ago, when she decided to leave and vowed to never use it again. She dropped the weapon from the moon and has no idea where it is now. This placed Cassiopeia and Emre in another predicament since they only have little time left. Emre still thanked Haliyah for responding to their call and asked what her weapon looks like, Haliyah showed them an image of a trident, Haliyah assured that the weapon will come to them and will answer by the name De-Jar which means “cursed” in En-Chan language. Emre and Cassiopeia went on their way, with Haliyah’s blessing that her weapon will go with them.
Deshna’s Dilemma
Hagorn returned to the camp with Asval, Andora and the remaining Etherians. Deshna was surprised to see Asval and Andora which later angered the young Hathor, Hagorn however told her that they are no longer enemies but allies, something which really disappointed Deshna. Hagorn had the chance to talk to Deshna alone and instilled to her mind how cruel the diwatas were and even reminded her of how they lied to her. Even though she was upset over them keeping the truth from her, Deshna still hasn’t forgotten that her sister Pirena is also one of them and has somehow made friends with the diwatas. Hagorn insisted that Pirena will still choose the diwatas’ side no matter what and even told Deshna how the diwatas tricked him, first, Mine-a breaking her vows to marry him, second, they were the ones who brought Hathoria down. Those painful memories triggered Hagorn’s wrath, Deshna calmed him down but was still unsure of her father’s choices.
Pirena’s dream
Alena found Pirena in Cassiopeia’s island. The former knew how much Pirena missed Mira and felt sorry for her for failing to save Mira once again. But Alena thanked her for choosing to save her and Danaya instead of going back through time to aid Mira. Pirena figured that Mira and Lira wouldn’t be happy if they returned and found out that their Ashtis has been killed. Now that her chances of getting her daughter back are gone, Pirena decided enough is enough and told Alena that they should go back to Lireo to plan their next step to defeat Hagorn and win the air and spirit gems back. After the meeting adjourned, Imaw asked Pirena to stay behind, as a gift for saving Alena and Danaya, her sisters and Imaw gave her something that would hopefully ease Pirena’s pain and longing even just for a little while. They let Pirena dream about Mira, in that dream Pirena saw her daughter in an emerald green garment, wearing her most beautiful smile, her voice called her, and Pirena was beyond happy to get a hold of her daughter once again.

💎Okay, so for tonight’s episode I gotta say that nothing much happened tonight, although how is Emre and Cassiopeia going to find Haliyah’s weapon I have no idea, I mean, she could have tossed that to the other world (I mean the mortal world), in the ocean, or it could be in another encantado’s possession, I was kinda expecting that either Haliyah will refuse to listen or this, because, plot filler duh. But I am actually looking forward to another finding a lost item subplot because it will also give way to Cassy and Emre’s character development. But I was wondering what happened to Kahlil now? I am still crossing my fingers that he will find the souls of the super twins and Gilas and Wahid, because seriously, I am so getting fed up with all these flashbacks that they are starting to get more and more annoying than touching, like why are you guys making us miss them more than ever and make us cling on to that slight possibility of them coming back? But I still hold on because it still wouldn’t make sense if they are going to make this entire season sang’gre-centric with little to no help from the so-called future saviors. And I haven’t forgotten that Cassiopeia hailed Lira as savior of Encantadia yet it was Amihan who literally did that.
Rant/s:
🤔 I don’t know if it’s just me being sick or I am getting really more and more bored in this whole timeline, it’s like this week is full of either cliché or ridiculously stupid narrative that I struggle to find reasons to rave about this week’s set of episodes since Monday. Like I said this would have worked if they chose to keep Mikee and Kate’s characters even Jake’s and Andre’s and maybe come up with side quests for these youngsters to prove themselves worthy to be the new gem keepers, it would have been exciting to see Lira and Mira plus Kahlil going on a quest to free the ivtre captives, or Pao Pao, Muyak and Deshna going to Balaak to seal some sort of portal or something like that to lock Arde in there for good, or Ariana and Lira going on a quest together on how to defeat Ether, heck they could even join Emre and Cassy on that finding bathalumang Haliyah or finding Haliyah’s missing weapon while the elders do everything they can to keep the entire Encantadia safe, anything that could pump up everyone’s adrenaline. The introduction of the new characters can just be inserted somewhere or maybe make it like a surprise for everyone to feel excited and more curious as to who these characters are. At this point of time when their strategy of keeping the audience’s attention to the show is to introduce more new characters, this is getting more and more uninteresting. With Avria dead and Hagorn reclaiming the title of the most dangerous villain in all of Encantadia instead of a GRAND battle between Hagorn and Avria plus the diwatas is just…no. I’m not even interested with DanQuil, AzPiren, AleMfes, and Ybriana (most especially) anymore, and it’s not good, since it makes me feel like doing this whole 4R’s series thing has becoming more of an obligation than something I really love to do, and I apologize if I seem unenthusiastic lately, it’s just like there is nothing much to write about this episode, like I would rather talk endlessly about how bad Ariana’s been doing than saying nothing at all, and it’s like I’m starting not to care anymore and watch the episode just because and counting the days and wondering when is this going to end so I can already get over with it. Dude, I need thrill in this show! I want to have that same enthusiasm I had in season one—correction—I want my enthusiasm back.
😖 You guys know what’s really annoying? Emre and Cassiopeia are dying and yet Haliyah be like, “sorry can’t heal you, oh by the way can you look for my lost weapon? I dropped it somewhere and I can no longer find it.” Like seriously? They’re dying and she’s gonna make them look for something that she herself lost for eons? She’s NOT gonna help them? Lol come on all she does is hang-out in the moon, eat and sleep, and don’t bullshit me with all those painful memories and shit, like hello? Can’t you at least give some consideration? The two are fuckin’ dying and all you do is give them the “lakompake attitude?” this episode is a one big joke. If I were Cassy, I would be like “Bitch seriously?” and stuff her mouth with a shit ton of pulot and drown her in the batis, that would be priceless.
