SHIP ASK GAME

A while ago, both @needcake and @fireandiceland weren't deterred by my accidentally closed inbox and sent me questions for a ship ask game. Since I won't be able to get around to writing until friday, I'm taking the time to answer them now :)

Ship Questions

Both of you asked for SicIre & I am very thankful for the chance to gush about the kids. But I am always happy to gush about ANY of my kids.

Pre-Relationship 5: Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

Hetaverse: I can't imagine any scenario where that'd be the case. The fact that they don't share any close history, but have very similiar experiences would make understanding one another easier. Besides, they're both too old for this bullshit and probably welcome a clean slate with no complicated emotional history attached.

LFLS: Harry did! In a way. He doesn't think he's queer when the LFLS mainseries starts (July 2013), because when he went to a gay bar with Charlie and his friends, he wasn't very into it. Coupled with the fact that he dated women afterwards made him think that he's probably straight. (Instead of feeling very lost in life in general at this time and also simply being overwhelmed by Charlie's overeager friend circle. Twas a lot). He's so mad at himself when he catches himself admiring Michele. He thinks his attraction to other men is wanting to be what they are - perceiving them as better than him, having what he lacks. It infuriates him, because he thinks it makes him unprofessional, that it unwittingly gives Michele an advantage. So, Harry's out here, fuming, until Charlie suggests: "I think Vento's flirting with you." Harry:

The mere possibility of reciprocated interest makes the pieces fall into place. He's not just envying Michele - he's attracted to him. Ironically enough, Harry embraces this queer epiphany, because it puts control back into his hands. He can differentiate business and private life now. TLDR: Harry at first resists and then speedruns embracing his feelings for Michele.

Love 2: What are their primary love languages?

All of them. Or none of them. The concept of love languages does not appear useful to me in describing characters or even relationships. It always depends and SicIre does all of these things in one way or another. (Trying to think of another ship and even with something like Tarielle & Railey, which share one character, I'd say it's very different? For Tarielle it is Quality time in the sense of doing stuff together, for Railey it is Quality time in the sense of co-existing comfortably. Tarielle is Words of Affirmation from both sides, Railey is mostly one-sided because Tahir just isn't a petname user or a romantic flirt with Robert. Okay, this isn't about the English, I'll stop, but you catch my drift, right?)

3: Who uses cheesy pick-up lines?

Oh, Harry, he is all about that shit. Much more so in LFLS than the Hetaverse, but he has always banked more on people finding him funny than finding him charming. He can flirt like an absolute clown.

5: Who initiates kisses?

They're both mean kiss stealers. I think in LFLS in public, it's more Harry, simply because he feels a lot more comfortable in his skin when it comes to PDA than Michele, who's still very afraid of homophobic reactions and suffers from internalized homophobia. But in private or queer company (& more in general in the Hetaverse), Michele is probably worse than Harry. Harry loves to steal a kissie here and there, but if Michele is in A Mood™, he wants a kiss and a kiss and a kiss, on the lips, on the cheek, on the neck, another kiss harry, da mi basia mille deinde centum dein mille altera dein secunda centum deinde usque altera mille deinde centum.

Domestic Life 11: Who likes to dance?

Oh, they both love to dance! Harry is the better dancer out of the two and excels at couple dancing! (As well as the Irish dances that you're doing on your own/with a group)! Michele loves to let him lead and occassionally take the lead himself. Still, whether it's on a public event, out in the street during a music festival or at home on the terrace, Michele loves to let Harry sweep him around elegantly and passionately.
