The Depths
Long story short, this comic is porn with an excuse plot written by Paula, aka “Leilani Perriere”, who comes from Ohio.
Right off the bat you know it’s going to be an objectionable “adventure” comic when you have a Midwestern American girl trying to pass themselves off as Tahitian by using a Hawaiian name (when they have literally no ancestry of either two ethnicities of any sort) on social media and in the fandom that makes a porn comic that relies on stereotypes and caricatures, and then tries to pass it off as adventure. But more on that later; let’s get to why this comic is a good entry for this blog and why it’s bad.
The comic starts off with “Leilani Perriere”, Paula’s fursona (real creativity using the most cliche Hawaiian name one could for a character in the South Pacific), who’s the daughter of a Chief from Bora Bora. Just to give you an idea of how the first few pages of the comic begin, it literally starts off in the ocean with Leilani blowing her lover Thierry Savage, a stereotypical French guy who’s a panther and apparently a detective, as he’s trying to get air…then they’re on the beach running after eachother butt-naked trying to fuck.  Apparently later she divulges her backstory to him, and Thierry tries to get her to move to France with him.
Probably the most problematic thing about the comic is the fact that the porn frequently overshadows the fact that there’s even an adventure to begin with, and also how blatant it is in sexualizing women of a vulnerable minority group (and it’s not the first comic she’s done that with) in the most tasteless way possible. There’s a right way and a wrong way to portray a vulnerable minority group in any shape or form, and Christ does Paula fail there…She couldn’t even start off with some sort of exposition on the adventures that would await, they just had to jump right to the porn, which shows they don’t know how to pace things in their own comic.
Even if it’s fictional otters, it’s still incredibly poor taste for someone to use fictional characters as a proxy and an excuse to get away with bastardizing indigenous women of the South Pacific by portraying them as the submissive sexual island fantasy girls that America typically does…I mean, one page into the comic and you already got a submissive hypersexualized caricature (whom she explicitly has called a “savage” on her Ko-Fi) in love with a “dashing man” from a European country; it’s a cliche beaten to death by alot of romance novels you’d find at a store…and Paula’s really gonna sit here and tell us this is meant to be an “adult adventure webcomic”?
Come on, now…when the first page literally starts off with a blowjob followed by raw dogging 4 or 5 pages later, who’s really gonna remember it for the “adventures”? It’s basically Monster Girl Academy but in the South Pacific…
If you want a story to be annoyed by on the level that you would with Kit n’ Kay Boodle or Monster Girl Academy, this is the comic for you!
Well uh, I’m gonna say Paula has some very bizarre fantasies. I feel like it is definitely “oh god I wish I was born a poor black child” of porn.
That being said, the “Yikes Sweetie let’s unpack this” aspects of this comic clearly has no effect on this comic’s popularity, seriously, this is apparently in the list of Top 100 Most Read Webcomics of All Time...unless that source is directly from Paula herself which could be likely.
But whether or not its popularity is legitimate, it does deserve a riff. The artstyle is not hot in the slightest, and the disguise of “adventure comic” will certainly confuse a lot of people.

[ad_1] One contemporary Saturday morning, when snow-blasted town streets took at the really feel of Alpine downhills, two Irish households spark off from the Park Central Lodge towards the subway at Columbus Circle. Their vacation spot: the Armory music, in Washington Heights, house of the century-old Millrose Video games track-and-field meet. Their objective: to determine if both Cian Donnelly, of Headford, or Grace Foley, of Sligo, each 8 years previous, simply could be the Were given Milk? Quickest Child within the Global.“The children aren’t apprehensive in any respect, whilst I’m about to vomit all over,” Cian’s father, Keith, stated. Main the trek was once Dermot McDermott, the Sligo-based trainer who has introduced Irish grade-schoolers to Millrose meets since 2014. He wore Nikes (colourful) and music pants (grey) and appeared undaunted by way of the raging nor’easter as he descended the subway stairs. Grace, who gained the under-nine Irish championship within the three-hundred-metre race closing summer season, approached a turnstile at eye stage. “Are we able to pass below it?” she requested. She settled right into a seat on an uptown 1, along Cian and her dual brother, Oliver, who grew to become round and knelt on his seat to observe stations whir by way of out of doors the window. When the educate stopped, the youngsters slid onerous to the correct. “Why do they make it so slippy?” Grace requested. Cian, in a knit cap with a PlayStation brand and a pompom, were up since six and allowed to play within the snow, however he was once urged to not run in it, lest he injure himself ahead of the race they’d crossed an ocean for.On the Armory, the crowd entered a lobby filled with older runners warming up, steeling their nerves. Cian’s mom, Joanne, undecided the place to test in, spied an indication studying “ELITE ATHLETES.” “Are they élite athletes?” she stated of the youngsters. When race time approached, the 8 ladies and 7 boys competing assembled beside a digicam stand. Corralling them, dressed in a white jacket, was once Rita Finkel, the Armory’s co-president. Staffers allotted cow-spotted face mask (a part of the races’ new dairy-industry sponsorship) and small flags (for Eire, and the countries that the native racers had selected to constitute). The children hopped in position and fussed with their cow mask. Grace and Cian posed for his or her dads’ iPhones. At the music’s infield, as a handful of Olympians and execs idled between heats, the entrants within the ladies’ race have been offered, waving, on an eighteen-foot video display. The fifty-five-metre dash lasted all of 11 seconds. Grace, who completed in simply over 9, tied for 3rd. Then the lads have been offered, waved their flags, and took off. Cian, in simply over 9 seconds, completed 3rd, too. In a while, the teams posed for an image beside a five-foot-tall plastic glass of milk, supplied by way of the American Dairy Affiliation North East. The women have been led right into a pressroom, and a staffer in a candy-red pants go well with requested, “The place’s my winner?” She then situated Mattress-Stuy’s Leilani Ariyibi, working for Nigeria, on the crew’s middle. The women have been requested how the race went. Michelle Enlow, a Manhattanite, stated, “I used to be about to really feel like I used to be gonna die, however then I didn’t.” Leilani, the sheepish victor, was once requested how she would have a good time. She shrugged. “Consume,” she stated. Anything else particularly? She shook her head.Subsequent got here the lads. Had been they drained? “Sure.” “No.” “A bit.” Cian, within the again, cow masks on his chin, sneezed into his elbow. The Bronx’s Bryce Hickman, the winner, stated his favourite phase was once “when all people took an image in entrance of the milk statue.” The reminder excited Jahziyah Taffe, of Queens, who had represented Jamaica. “We went close to that milk statue, so I’m lovely positive we're getting a milkshake!” It was once a fallacious assumption.
Within the hallway, oldsters debriefed their children. (“Was once it a laugh?” Grace’s dad, Desi, requested. “Kinda,” she stated.) Leilani posed on a podium, retaining a bouquet of off-white roses. Her father, a moving-company proprietor whose beard peeked from in the back of a blue surgical masks, snapped footage. He stated she had earned an extraordinary deal with. “I’m gonna let her get slightly soda lately,” he stated, and laughed.Up within the grandstand, Cian and his circle of relatives discovered some seats for the remainder of the races. He performed a recreation on an iPhone, till his dad held up a FaceTime display filled with cheering kin. “You’d swear he’s within the Olympics, with all of the pleasure again house,” Joanne stated. For Cian, extra pleasure loomed: he’d been promised a travel to the Lego Retailer, and pizza. ♦ [ad_2] #Quicker #Upper #More youthful #Armory #Monitor

Little Weasel, Big City: Chapter 21
Leilani and Duke were crouched down in the back of the police car. Their eyes barely poked out from the bottom of the window as officers led animals to different police cars, some animals in cuffs.
“Lei, look!” Duke pointed. “It’s PJ!”
Leilani scanned the now-crowded meadow before she easily spotted the somber, brightly-dressed geep, her hooves behind her in cuffs. Leilani felt a pang of guilt. It was wrong for PJ to conduct all these dangerous experiments, especially without the consent of her “test subjects,” but she seemed to really want to make the world safer for animals like her.
“I kinda feel bad too.”
Leilani yelped as she almost fell onto the floor. “You could tell?” She caught herself by grabbing the seat belt.
“Nah, with your droopy ears and sad face, I assumed ya were excited.” Duke chuckled.
Leilani smiled. “Okay, fair enough. I mean, PJ’s probably been through so much, being a hybrid, and she wanted things to be better for other hybrids.”
Duke put a paw on Leilani’s back. “Hey, she’s smart! I mean, at least I guess she is, with all the science and stuff. She’ll probably come up with somethin’ safer.”
“I guess so.” Leilani saw PJ lean into a police van. “Do you think she’ll go to prison? Jail? Probation? Community service? A fine?”
“Lei, I ain’t no expert because I’ve had a bunch of trouble with the law.” Duke frowned.
“Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to—“
Duke doubled over with laughter, catching himself on the back of the passenger seat. “I’m just messin’ with ya! But really, I ain’t got any idea what’s gonna happen to her. My crimes were always simple, this is really weird. I do know they tend to go easier on first time offenders, and I’m guessin’ she was, since the chief didn’t act like he found any mugshots when he looked her up.”
Leilani sighed. “At least we can just focus on just our normal jobs now. I hope Travis can find another line of work soon. I wonder how he’ll react once he finds out about the police raid.”
Duke narrowed his eyes as a wide smile spread across his face.
“Seriously, Duke, I wanna thank you so much for gettin’ me the interview with the mailroom boss.”
Duke and Travis both walked down the hallway as Duke pushed a cart full of mail. Travis was in his regular clothes, as he hadn’t get received his uniform.
“No problem. So, the mail is alphabetized by names, and sorted by floors. The stack of mail closest to me is for this floor.” Duke threw an envelope through a cubicle.
“Thanks!” Someone shouted.
“I haven’t been at this job for too long, but everyone’s busy with other stuff, so I was just told to tell ya as much I can and show ya around.”
“So, this is where you and Leilani have been workin’ this whole time?” Travis asked, his eyes traveling everywhere.
“Yeah! What’re the odds that a married couple would get jobs in the same place…the same week they meet?” Duke threw another envelope.
“I can’t believe that those plants were what caused you two to get married. I mean, I know things are workin’ out good, but it coulda turned out really bad. I also shoulda tried to find out why PJ was really makin’ the plants. Sorry, there.”
“Eh, don’t worry ‘bout it.” Duke shrugged. “After all, me and Lei shut the whole thing down only two days ago, didn’t we?”
“Yeah, true.” Travis grabbed an envelope and threw it in a cubicle.
“Hold on, there!” Duke cried. He ran into the empty cubicle and read the envelope. He ran back outside the cubicle and read the name tag. “Huh, it’s the right one. Good job!”
“Thank you.” Travis took a short bow. “So, you know what PJ’s deal is?”
“Leilani looked her up yesterday, and she posted bail. The bail wasn’t set too high, so I assume she ain’t got herself into too much legal trouble.”
“Oh, good, there’s a bathroom up there. Be right back.” Travis dashed ahead and into the men’s room.
“Oh, uh, okay!” Duke continued to push the cart. “I ain’t got much more to tell ya anywa—“
BOOM!
Red dust exploded from the cart as Duke flew backward. His back and head slammed against the rough carpet floor.
“Ugh…what?” Duke grabbed his head and slowly sat up. He saw a bunch of animals standing in front of the knocked-over cart.
A few animals ran up to him and asked if he was okay.
“Uh, yeah, I’m fine. What happened?” Duke stood up with help of one of the animals.
A moose looked inside the toppled cart. “Looks like someone put a powder bomb in your cart. It’s the latest toy to get recalled after injuries happening. Sorry.”
As the animals dispersed, Duke dropped to his knees and picked up the little red plastic machine. He thought he felt paper under it. He turned the rectangular device over and saw a small piece of paper. It read in black capital letters, “YOU’LL BE SORRY!”

Children of BFFH, Entry 162
“Luce!” exclaimed Dani as she dashed into my room.  “Ready for some shopping!?”
I nodded and followed along when Dani grabbed my hand and started sprinting out of the room.  Despite being twenty-eight-ish—Dani’s actual age was a bit hard for me to track due to hopping through time with our parents for most of her life—Dani was the most energetic person I knew.
“Mom, we’re ready!” she exclaimed when we arrived upstairs.
Mother stepped into the hall with Leilani held gently in her arms.  Mother always had to be gentle with my niece, given that steel was malleable in Mother’s hands.  Leilani was excited as ever to see us, giggling and reaching for her mother.
“There’s my little girl.  I wondered where you went!” exclaimed Dani as she took her daughter.  “Has your grandmommy been giving you enough kisses?” she questioned before kissing all over Leilani’s face.
Mother smiled as she opened the nearest closet, which now had a portal to another world, and possibly another time.  I followed behind her, dragging Dani and Leilani in tow, since Dani was probably too distracted with her daughter to even notice we were leaving.  My sister took the idea of “living in the moment” to the extreme compared with most humans, but she was pretty normal in that regard for her own species.
“Leilani, look!  Stores!  Is my girl ready for shopping?” she asked, pressing her face close to Leilani’s.
“Yes!” exclaimed Leilani with a giggle.
The whole reason we were having a “girl’s day” shopping together was because Dani had begged, claiming our last one was so long ago that she had nothing to wear, which was obviously silly.  In the few months since our last shopping trip like this, Dani might’ve been away a couple years.  I couldn’t say for certain how long she was away when she did business out in the greater universe, but she still had even more clothes than I did if we only counted the ones at our main house on Earth.  Dani had enormous closets waiting for her all across the universe.
I couldn’t complain.  I wasn’t as crazy about clothing as Dani, and she had twenty years of shopping on me, more if we counted that I cared even less when I was younger.  “What planet are we on?” I questioned, not picking up any language that I understood.
“Myesar.” replied Mother, who seemed to be taking in the area around us.
“I am not!” exclaimed Dani indignantly, obviously pretending mother had called her a miser.
Mother rolled her eyes.  “Your father did that same joke the first time we came here.”
Dani grinned proudly as if that was the best compliment she could get.
“Where to first?” I asked, hoping to move things along.  Given that today was a Saturday, most of my friends were probably dungeon diving with Eléa by now or working on our town.
“We have two hours before I would like to catch a show, and this whole planet is dedicated to shopping and entertainment.” replied Mother, amused when Dani frowned and I grinned.
“Shows take away from shopping!” complained Dani.
Leilani attempted to mimic her mother, but looked way too cute when she pouted.
“Mother and I can see the play while you shop for Leilani.” I suggested, though I knew Dani was messing with us.
“You want me to miss a show!?  That’s mean, Luce!” exclaimed Dani, attempting to look hurt while smiling too much to be believable.
“Let’s go this way.  I found something I want to see on Leilani.” stated Mother as she led the way.
Times like this were among the reasons I was occasionally jealous of Mother and Aid’s ability to sense heat.  She wouldn’t have a clue as to the colors of whatever outfit she had found, but the design would be plain to her, even multiple streets away.
As we made our way upward in one of the transparent lifts, I found myself wondering if street was even the right word here.  The vehicles flew in orderly paths, but the markers were floating.  Would that still count as a street or not?  Despite having been to numerous places throughout the universe, I had so much to learn.
The first shop we entered was run by someone of a species I didn’t recognize.  The person in question had three sets of arms, two sets of legs, and half a dozen eyes.  I wasn’t entirely certain whether the skin was some sort of exoskeleton or not.  Mother apparently understood the language, duplicating the odd sounds with spells, since we didn’t have the physical ability to make the violin-like sounds.
I was surprised when I realized that this creature only sold humanoid clothing in the store.  Perhaps that species opened different venues for each potential type of customer,  or maybe this was just an employee working for the humanoid branch of some chain?  I didn’t know.  I smiled, remembering Douglas Adams describing the size of the universe.  Yes, the universe was very big.
So was Leilani’s fashion show as Mother, Dani, and I all picked out outfits we wanted to see her in.  Mother bought everything, of course.  Leilani was having too much fun not to get her everything.
We hit up store after store, and Mila conveniently showed up outside of each one to take our bags, though I couldn’t say whether Mila had a thousand bodies on this planet or was using one of the ones from home.  As vast as the universe was, Mila might have it beaten on size.  She was her mother’s daughter after all.
I sighed in annoyance when some four-armed—but otherwise humanoid-looking—man attempted to grab me as he ran by.  I dodged, of course, but Mother was annoyed.  She caught the man with a spell and left him suspended in the air as we waited for a guard.
She grinned when she saw him, and the poor guard obviously recognized her, looking really embarrassed as she spoke.
“That’s the guy who attempted to arrest Daddy when he and Mom came here shopping.  He apparently didn’t recognize Daddy, and I guess this is one of the planets Daddy owns.” translated Dani for me, laughing as she spoke.
I couldn’t even guess at the number of languages Dani knew at this point.  She was extremely well-traveled.  I was certain she couldn’t keep up with our parents though.  Who could?
Once Mother was done with the guard, we cheated a little to get to the show on time, turning into one alley and walking out somewhere on the other side of the planet—I could tell by the switch from day to night.  Mother could probably tell our rough position compared with our prior one, but I simply wasn’t that good at those types of calculations yet.
Thankfully, the show was in a language that I actually understood, and it made the trip very worthwhile, telling the story of an orphan girl and her rise to power, eventually saving her city from an ancient enemy.  Dani wept, which meant Leilani did too.  Not joining them would have been rude, so I joined them.
Even Mother was obviously touched by the story.  “That was very good.  Thank you for indulging me.”
By the time we were done with the second round of shopping, and more than a bit of snacking, I had a few new outfits as well.  Overall, I would say I had a very good day.
