a/n — my first post :D hope you all enjoy, this is just something i threw together but real works coming soon!! requests are still open

warnings: none just fluff, use of pet names (i don’t speak spanish so feel free to correct anything i messed up)

summary: just hc’s

e42!Miles who spoils more than you deserve. New jordan’s, candy, jewelry, a cute shirt he saw you looking at in the store. anything you want he’ll buy you. sometimes you’ll get things you didn’t even know you wanted until he bought it for you.

would definitely get you and him matching shoes.

“baby you didn't have to buy these for me..”

“gotta make sure my girl is taken care of.”

e42!Miles who only has social media for you, his mom, his uncle aaron, and a few of his friends.

e42!Miles who checks your attitude. all the time. you can’t step out of line with this man.

e42!Miles who uses words of affirmation all the time. or is just constantly complementing you, or reassuring you when you’re stressed or overthinking something.

e42!Miles who listens to childish gambino. he’s probably his #1 fan. would commit several war crimes to see him in concert live. make you listen to him on car rides, when your out, and just all the time.

e42!Miles who sings/hums you songs in spanish when your sleeping. he’ll always do it softly as to not wake you, and rather comfort you to sleep. he can actually sing pretty well but would never do it for anyone (except maybe you if you asked him to).

e42!Miles who is absolutely obsessed with your curls, plays with them all the time and always compliments you on them.

e42!Miles who lowkey gets bullied by his uncle aaron for having a soft spot for you. his uncle will take every opportunity to comment on it seeing as he is usually very stoic. he loves to mock him about it and miles is kinda embarrassed but will always have that soft spot for you regardless.

e42!Miles whose mom loves you. talks about you all the time with miles who thinks it’s cute that you two get along so well.

e42!Miles who is amazing at basketball. if he wasn’t the prowler he could probably be in the NBA. will always be playing when he’s not doing prowler assignments. brings you to the park so you can watch him play, sometimes he’ll try to teach you how to play and he’ll cheer when you make a basket.

Trogonoptera Brookiana, or the Rajah Brooke's birdwing!

They look like Santa Clause with a red beard from this angle.🎅👨‍🦰

The anatomy of these 💸remunerative💸 insects!!!

The females are usually brownish with white on the tips of their forewings and on the base of their hindwings. But in some species the females look just like the males, but with blue wings instead of green.

The pupae are as green as the male's wings with streaks of violet.

The larvae have a fork-shaped mound on the back of their head that secretes a pungent and poisonous liquid that deters predators.

They have evolved to be immune to the poison in the Aglaia foveolata, which is where they get their poisonous liquid from. They grow red hairs on their head, giving them the appearance of a red collar. (Are all insects redheads?)

Diet.

They eat the nectar from flowers like the Bauhinia.

The larvae eat the Dutchman's pipe and the leaves from the Aglaia foveolata.

Behavior.

The males tend to congregate around one area, making the chances of seeing just a singular Rajah Brooke's birdwing very low.

The females don't leave their trees very often, unlike the males, making the chances of seeing a female compared to the chances of seeing a male 1/200. While they tend to stick very close to one another, they will not react if one of their own dies.

While the Aglaia foveolata's leaves are poisonous to humans, the Rajah Brooke's birdwing will not use their poison on humans.

Habitat.

They inhabit Thai-Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Natuna, Sumatra, Banyak, Simeulue, Batu, and Mentawai.

They are Malaysia's national butterfly.

They live in tropical rainforests, and like to hang around any good sources of minerals, namely hot Sulphur springs.

I initially had many more fact's than this, I was very proud of the amount of fact's I had gathered, perhaps too proud. I had written all of the fact's that I have bore upon this post onto a sheet of paper, but I had found more fact's that I, foolishly, did not write down, but I had still written them onto this post. Or I had tried to, but I had such a multitudinous array of tabs open, that my tumblr found itself crashed and I had been given a notification to close my tabs. I was so enraged that I found myself to have lost my will, my will to write all the fact's I had so tenderly collected, and so I had felt unable to continue my work for a sprinkling of days, and still my final project is not nearly as extensive or informative as it should've been, and from that day forth, whenever a Trogonoptera Brookiana comes into my vision, I feel an insufferable rage, despite this being of my own fault for never closing my accursed tabs. The only boon I have been given from this ordeal is that I have learned a very valuable lesson, from this day forth, about closing my tabs.

Anyway, I will be trying to post much more frequently.💖💖💖

i don’t dance..

a/n — haven’t posted in a while cuz of stuff, but i had this idea on my mind so here u go! i’m pretty sure this is my first official fic/drabble so that cool too ig (also new theme 🤭)

warnings: fluff, kissing, pet names (again my poor spanish skills 💀, feel free to correct anything that should be changed)

pairing: e42!miles x blk!fem!reader

summary: you and miles are out at a friends party, one of his favorite songs is playing, but he won’t dance..

you open the door and the whole house just seems alive. people chit-chatting, watching tv, laughing, you loved parties. miles however, wasn’t as fond of them.

“I wanna go” miles groans as you gently tug him by his wrist into the house. “baby we just got here” you sigh, closing the door behind you both.

“exactly” miles states heading for the doorknob. “come on, naomi invited us. can we just stay for like 2 hours?”

“pleaseee” you drag out. miles looks down to you, studying your face and your features before rolling his eyes. “you lucky i love you ma” he smiles softly.

“very lucky” you reply with a smile and a soft kiss, as you lead miles to some of your friends.

“i’ll be right back” you excuse yourself from your friends. your eyes scan over the party until you spot him, leaning against a wall with his drink, just kinda observing.

“baby come dance with me” you ask hustling over to your boyfriend. miles raises an eyebrow to your question.

“this is one of your favorite songs, please” you continue, trying to convince him. “nah, i don’t dance hermosa.”

“why not? it’s fun i promise” you question. “No lo sé, simplemente no lo sé” miles responds.

you sigh, giving up. “fine, but i’ll be over there when you change your mind” you softly kiss his cheek, walkover to your friends and start dancing.

the party’s music blasts, everyone’s having fun, laughing, singing.

miles just takes a sip of his drink, observing again.

the way your hips swayed, the way your curls bounced with every movement you made, your smile and laughter filling the room, the necklace he bought you shining in the dim lighting of the room, your matching jordans moving against the floor in a jumble of other shoes, how pretty you looked when you were having fun.

it’s no wonder he didn’t dance.
