     HE FROWNS. had he made her believe he didn’t need her anymore ? perhaps he was being a bit DISTANT lately. he turns to see where she sits on the edge of his bed. the dorms were silent -- rare for even this time of night. perhaps he knew this conversation had been coming. “ i... i do need you, hana. i just.... it’s been HARD, lately, that’s all. and i didn’t want to bother you with all that. ”

rests her chin on his head for a change.  "  whatcha got there   ?   "

     HE CAN FEEL HER PRESENCE before she speaks. feeling her arms wrap around him from behind, even though the couch is between them. eijirou leans his head back, eyeing the way hana looks at him with a small smile. a bit of blonde hair falls and frames their GAZES, like a golden curtain only for the two of them. he takes a chance and gives her small kiss before answering her question. “ just some homework. bakugou’s gonna KILL me if i don’t get this done by our next study session. ” kiri sets aside the work anyways, tugging at hana’s hand as if to coax her onto the couch next to him. “ what’re YOU doin’, anyways ? weren’t you supposed to be out with uraraka or something ? ”

“you promised to call me if you didn’t know what to wear.”

     “ UH ... ” kiri says, looking over at his girlfriend before down to what he’d decided to wear for their dinner date. awkward and unsure, a hand goes to rub at the nape of his neck. it wasn’t THAT bad, was it ? a nicer button - up with some jeans. eijirou gives off a small smile. “ well, you LIKE what i’m wearing, right ? ” hana is OBVIOUSLY the more fashion - oriented of the pair, so ei supposes that if she didn’t like his outfit, she would help him. he just wanted to try on his own, for once.

     KIRISHIMA FELT BAD about calling hana in the first place, especially this late at night. he was actually surprised that she answered so fast, and he’s quick to apologize about possibly waking her up. but hana’s tone was so SWEET, and gentle, that eijirou finally felt his mind slow down for half a second. he sits on the edge of his dorm’s bed, staring at the floor. “ -- really ? ” he half whispers with an awkward chuckle. “ ... you’re too good to me, y’know that ? ” they’d only been dating for a month or so at this point, but hana’s presence around him truly did have that calming effect. even so, he cannot bring himself to say what made him call her in the first place -- maybe he was more EMBARRASSED than he’d like to admit.
