BEHIND URL: my URL "waraningyo" comes from the fact that in japanese wara ningyō ( a popular katashiro made of straw, usually ) are historically, especially during the heian era of japan, known to ward off evil ( spirits, specifically ) and it ties in beautifully with the fact that no.bara's cursed technique, which utilizes wara ningyō ( straw dolls ) in exorcising curses, hearkens back to ushi no toki mairi ( 丑の時参り ).

Hey there! I will be honest, since after your hiatus, this blog has just been about the current/upcoming stories, which I definitely love 🤍 But something is missing, can't figure out what tho :( Not that interaction has not been along the personal lines too, but I think you too can admit something is there which is missing right? I see you posting about how ask games aren't boosting much around here, and it honestly makes me sad. That is another reason why I am always voting for your polls, sending asks from my different accounts heh. I guess this is also affected by how the connections on this app are breaking apart. I don't see mutuals or other blogs I follow reblog even the littlest thing or comment or be amused much anymore. This makes me want to leave this place too.
Sorry for the vent, this has just been on my mind these days. I'll probably send similar asks to other blogs so that people can god damit see it and if possible, bring k-pop writing blogs back to life.
hey love. i definitely agree that something has changed – idk if it's bc i went on hiatus (for my blog, at least) or if it just happened during that time in general, but a lot of writers and mutuals have been feeling discouraged. lots of them said things feel different now from how they were before. idk what it is either! like 2021, i'd have a lot more fun with ask games, and now i feel like people don't really enjoy them much anymore lol :') maybe we're just busy !!

THE INABILITY TO CHERISH THE GOOD THINGS THAT HAPPEN OUT OF FEAR OF THEM DISAPPEARING
You’ve been hurt, badly, haven’t you? It’s been a long time since you’ve felt comfortable in your own mind. EVERYTHING'S BECOME A SIGN THAT YOU'RE GOING TO BE HURT AGAIN. So when something good does come along, you’re not used to it. It feels foreign. It’s weird and SCARY.
You want to believe that it will work out, but you just can’t. You’ve been BURNED too many times. Because of this, you’ve become cynical. You never wanted it to be this way, but you’re trying to protect yourself.
I see how it’s easier to not accept the good, out of FEAR of its INEVITABLE END. Once the dust settles, you’re terrified of being alone again.
But by doing this, you’re never enjoying those good moments. You’re letting them pass you by. You have to start letting the happiness come to you. Even if it’s in waves, isn’t that better than not at all?
