          Mulan was delighted to be able to share a meal with her friend, especially considering they had decided to split the meal so that they could get more and make sure to enjoy each dish for what it was worth. finally, trays of food had been delivered, and she lifted her chopsticks to take hold of the dumpling firsts. after a bite, she did a small happy dance in her seat, a hum of praise at the flavor made as she chewed and covered her mouth as she spoke,      ❝  it's so good !  ❞

                    with no clouds in the sky, the stars sparkled brightly over the mountains edge. a vast array of colors seemed to shine with them, lighting the sky along side the brightness of the moon. below them, the villagers slept for it was already well past midnight. a night-hunt had already begun, though neither were apart of it as others had opted to go in their place.

                    it felt strange to not go, but soon enough she was distracted by Sizhui's company as they went for a walk outside of Sect walls and into the forest. their talks were pleasant at first, mostly catching up on what the other had missed, and though neither seemed tired, they soon happened upon a resting point that seemed ideal for starwatching. upon one of the older trees of the forest, a large and thick root stuck out for them to sit upon, its location ideal as it revealed a vast clearing to observe the nights sky and yet be close enough should they need to step in.

        ❝  天龍座 ( tiān lóng zuò - draco constellation ) is sparkling brightly tonight !  ❞    Mulan pointed towards the dragon in excitement, her dangling legs kicking out almost in a childish glee. as she was about to look away and glance towards Sizhui, she noticed that the sky began to move and her lips parted in surprise.       ❝  oh !  ❞    the words seemed to tangle on her tongue, her hand dropping as she reached to touch his arm almost to make sure that he was paying attention.

        ❝  it's a meteor shower !  Sizhui look ! ❞    bubbling with excitement, she glanced over at him her eyes warm with affection.      ❝  did you know that this would be happening tonight ?  ❞    pausing she was torn as she wanted to watch the stars fall, but she found herself unable to glance away for a moments breath for how the light seemed to catch in his eyes.     ❝  ... it does not matter... i am just so grateful to be able to experience this with you...  ❞

        ❝  how are you able to make a choice in what to read first ━━ ?  ❞    mulan wondered out loud as she spun herself around to look at the walls of books that seemed to tower over her. there was so many to choose from, so many tiny worlds of adventures to have. part of her felt a little overwhelmed, as she began to worry that she might not fully understand the written words on the pages.

          taking a step forward, she bent a little to read the sides of one of them with golden lettering on the spine.      ❝  perhaps... perhaps i need to let you find something for us to read together....  ❞    not understanding what was on the spine, she stood upright once more before taking a step to the left to read the next one.     ❝  what do you think ? are we in the mood for another tragedy or are we reading something happier this time ?  ❞
