Hajime looked up from the ground to where, he hoped, Audi was. He smiled so wide the cuts on his cheeks started to hurt as his pursuer ran away, or at least he guessed that was them... since Audi had no reason to leave just yet. He couldn't help but laugh a little bit, so much hope for their escape and being reunited almost made it feel like he wasn't just tortured not too long ago. Things would be back to normal. At least, he hoped so.
Aditi watched Leigh disappear, only hearing the tail end of them colliding with something. She could care less about that now though. Turning and walking towards Hajime, she saw how giddy he seemed. It made her snicker. The hopeful ones have so much further to fall. She stopped in front of him, crouching down to her knees to be at eye level. “Did you miss me?” She asked, softly. Her eyes glowed still, grin wide. But she didn’t want him to see that just yet. “I missed you.”
"Of course! That's- that's why I haven't given up!" Hajime nodded eagerly. "Did they do anything to you? Are you hurt?" He asked, his happiness quickly turning into concern. Did she not help with the blindfold because she was hurt and didn't want him to see? "Please tell me you're okay-" He tried to lean forward, to hold her hand, or anything really, but quickly stopped at the shooting pain throughout his body. Everything ached; but he didn't care about his own state right now.
“Ah, ah.. relax.” Reaching out, she placed one of her hands over his chest, pushing him to stay against the wall and not move. It was a gentle gesture, but the intent was to pin him in case he fought back. Not like he could do much with a broken leg and so many wounds. “You’re always so worried about me. Who’s going to worry about you though, dear?” Her other free hand curled under his chin, tilting it upwards to look at her face. Carefully, her fingers drifted up, and slowly pulled the blindfold off. “Me?” She added, grin growing and eyes teetering on the edge of being blinding to look at.
Hajime squinted, blinking his eyes to adjust to finally being able to see again. But he was quick to realize something was terribly wrong when a blinding green was there to greet him. His happiness and relief quickly being replaced with the fear he's known since he's been here. He opened his mouth to speak but the whiplash of realizing he was still in danger kept him speechless. All he could really do is weakly hold the wrist of the hand pinning him. And give up. He promised to go down kicking and screaming but... how could he possibly do that now?
“.... Awe.” Aditi pouted briefly, tilting her head to the side, her long hair following. “I expected more of a reaction. Then again, it’s like you to leave me disappointed, isn’t it?” She asked, laughing cruelly at his dismay and the despair she felt coming off of him. “Poor thing..” Her hand grabbed his chin this time, one of her fingers sliding over his lips. “I think you’ve suffered enough. Don’t worry, I’ll put you out of your misery, like a sick dog. I just, love you sooo much. I can’t stand to see you in pain for any longer.” She smiled more so, eagerly having fun with him before she made a move.
He shakily exhaled out of his nose, a smile returning to his face but this time; it was a sad one. And then he chuckled, and even started to laugh as tears poured down his face once more. "If it's by you, I guess I can accept it." He blinked in an attempt to stop the tears, but to no avail. Once again laughing at how pathetic he must look right now. "I love you too."
She stared back, the light in her eyes flickered like a power outage. That clearly hurt. It all hurt. Inside she was clawing to get back out. To help him. To stop herself from killing someone she loves again. But, the despair was too strong. Her grin returned, rolling her eyes at his hopeless display. “Be quiet, you-!” She began, only for her eyes to shrink as a needle was shoved into her neck from behind. Losing a good amount of her consciousness in an instant, she slumped against Hajime. Thankfully she weighed close to nothing.
Putri stood on her tiptoes with the medicine in hand, having crept into the door once the group saw what was happening from the doorway. She was the smallest, fastest and most graceful on her feet. And luckily for everyone, she managed to give Aditi the cure to her problem just in time. “.... Suitor..?” Putri asked, blanking when she looked at Hajime. She didn’t expect the person she was saving to be him. “Why are you...? You’re here... too...? What- what’s wrong with your...?” She couldn’t complete her question, as she pointed down at his leg.
Hajime looked back and fourth between Putri and the passed out Audi, in complete disbelief. Could her timing be any more perfect? He really thought he was going to be a goner. After a moment, he couldn't really help it, his tears got worse. "Putri- you... I..." He choked, unable to really form a full sentence at the moment. And, in need of comfort after everything, pulled Putri close enough for him to hug and cried into the fabric of her kimono.
Putri squeaked like a chew toy at being hugged so suddenly, her arms limp for a moment, still processing. Finally, her brain caught up, and her tiny arms hugged him back, patting his head. “... it’s uh... it’s okay... you’re.. okay...” She comforted awkwardly, but didn’t move away, understanding that he needed someone. And three other candidates seemed to be walking in now.
“Wot te fuck!? When did-!? Why are-!? Wot did they do ta yer face!?” Iyabo said in a struggle to comprehend the situation. Fay had already rushed over to the pair and gotten in on the hugging session, since she was sniffling too now. Iyabo turned to Finn, motioning for him to pick up Aditi, and him gladly doing as he was asked. Iyabo and Fay could support him to walk hopefully. If not, then they’d just have to make two trips to the car...

Fay! Fay! This person is blind too!
Tumblr media
“What? Really? They were.... blind too?” Fay asked, sympathetically throwing a gaze over her shoulder at the one they had just met. And.. Iyabo beat up, admittedly. Fay felt a twing if guilt in her stomach, but she pushed it aside. They had to save their friend first! Feeling bad can wait. Besides, that was one of the bad guys, right?
Tumblr media
“Yea? Well they were also a huge fuckin’ cunt-“ Iyabo remarked in a huff, not seeming bothered by this information. “Blind or not, it doesn’t excuse yer shitty behavior. Nothin’ does. C’mon Fay, don’t let it bother ya.” Iyabo tugged her blind friend along as they ran. Fay followed, but still kept.. looking backwards. She wanted to help everyone. She always did.

Welp, I'll be in charge of the flowers for Leigh's funeral. Who's writing the eulogy?
Tumblr media
“Wait! Wait! Audi!” Fay rushed back, followed by Putri, Iyabo and Finn trailing behind them slightly. “You were supposed to chase me! Not break the door down! I thought I was your favorite to ch- Wah!” Her rant was cut short by someone colliding face first with her, causing her to fall right onto her back.
Leigh stumbled back before they fell as well, taking a moment to wince before scrambling to the other person, who they assumed was Angie. "Annie!" They called out, grabbing her shoulders in urgency. "She tried to kill me! Why didn't you warn me to leave before you let her loose? Me getting hurt wasn't according to the plan!" They asked, panicly looking back towards where they came in an attempt to find if they were being pursued.
“Gghhh...” Fay groaned at first, rubbing her head, before being yanked up by the shoulders suddenly. She listened with a confused expression. I don’t know this voice. Who is this? Awe, they sound scared! Fay mustered up a smile despite the pain in her head, her hands moving to sit atop theirs on her shoulders. “Awe, I’m sorry! Are you okay? Don’t worry, Audi tries to kill everyone at least once!” Top notch reassurance.
They quickly pulled their hands away from their touch when they heard Fay's voice, quickly moving their head to look back at the stranger. That definitely wasn't Angie. "Who are you-? You're here to rescue that thing aren't you?!" Leigh immediately saw this new person as a threat, someone they needed to get away from. So they tried to scramble back away to start running again but this time, in the opposite direction.
“Demon bird!!!” Putri shrieked Before Fay could even cut in to introduce herself. The little dancer jumped on Leigh, her arms wrapping around their neck in a chokehold. “Where is my goddess, fiend!? What have you done to her!? I’ll pluck you and roast you for dinner!” She threatened loudly, meaning it 100%. She didn’t bring matches for no reason.
"Gh-!" Leigh gasped, grabbing at the wrists of their attacker. They were caught off guard by the sudden attack. "Let go of me, you little shit-!” Leigh ripped the small arms off of them, quickly overpowering her enough shove the smaller girl away. "How many of you are there?!" They asked, not expecting an answer as they finally were able to get up, turning around and running once more.
As Leigh turned to run, they once again landed face first into another person. This one noticeably not tumbling like Fay did. In fact... he wasn’t even wearing a shirt. They ran straight into a poor shirtless dude. Lovely.

Angie is really not having a good day, huh?
Tumblr media
“It’s only going to get worse for her, don’t worry.” Aditi stares into Angie’s eyes as the smaller girl struggles and kicks to get free. Her grip tightens, the nails are ready to embed into Angie’s neck, and burst her like a ballon. Her bloodlust is eminent. It can’t be quenched. Not with-!
Aditi feels something knock on her head, hard. She growls and reels back, turning her head to look behind her only to see and hear...
Tumblr media
“Audi! Come get me! Nana nabooboo!” Fay sticks her tongue out tauntingly, blowing a raspberry before darting off down the corridor with Mortie guiding and running along side her.
Tumblr media
Aditi snarls tossing Angie aside like a ragdoll, the artist hitting the wall hard and falling to the ground as Aditi gave chase to Fay. “.... mmm...” Angie groaned weakly, feeling blood trickle down the back of her head.

Dusk was falling rapidly over the sky, mixing into shades of orange, pink, and purple. Luckily, for those approaching, this was the optimal time. The car could be parked off on a side road. No one would see the license plate number, type of vehicle, color, nothing. This was their safest option. They could do this.
As the small group of colorful characters stepped out of the car, the smallest among them ran off. She peered around the corner of a nearby brick building, observing the old house they would need entry to. Two guards stood outside, keeping it secure. Damn it. Guess it will have to be done the hard way. Oh well, more fun for me! Hehe!
Tumblr media
“Alright...” She whispered, turning back to the others with a cheery smile, hiding her sheer determination behind the expression. “Time for the show! Let’s go, let’s go! I want my goddess back, as soon as possible!” Putri chided.
