Normally i don't do AU that isn't at least canon adjacent, but I started daydreaming for a few minutes about an rpg-style au Sastiel with witch!Samantha and beekeeper!Cas. @birdgirl1772 idk if this fully fits with your headcanon but tagging jic it catches your fancy.

Samantha has a little shop in the village where she sells charms and spells and does fortune telling.

She gets her herbs and flowers from Cas, who has a stone cottage outside the village that's engulfed in vines and wildflowers.

Castiel brings their wares into the village and sells honey and healing salves off a cart outside Sam's shop twice a week. Samantha brews tea and Castiel adds honey and they get into discussions of interspecies politics and customs and the benefits of different magics in between customers.

Castiel can talk to animals, but has a particular soft spot for bees and other pollinators because they help his garden.

Sam gets visions and has a knack for spellwork and knows most of the languages they encounter from outside the village. Castiel reads a lot of ancient languages and has a collection of books from all over that they enjoy sharing with Sam. (Part of the collection is smuggled from the celestial family Castiel renounced, but she doesn't like to talk about that.)

Dean is village blacksmith, but used to be a full-time adventurer with Sam when they were younger. He and Sam still take adventurer jobs from the village board sometimes to get supplies.

They often overnight at Castiel's cottage on the way to and from the village. Sam also overnights there when it's harvesting time for certain herbs.

Cas knits Sam a flower crown and blushes when Sam kisses their nose and flowers bloom around them.

Castiel starts watching Samantha's shop while Sam and Dean are gone -- until she returns with a nasty wound one too many times and Cas is soothing a headwound away with shining fingers when they insist on joining their party as healer. 🥰
