I kinda like the idea of Rouxls being affiliated with the Grimm Troupe in his Hollow Knight AU verse. I don't want him to be part of the Troupe, but I dunno, maybe he tries to help out Grimm/The Nightmare Heart in his own way while still remaining separate from them?

Maybe he's usually responsible for summoning the Troupe to new locations and partaking in the ritual, since iirc that always requires an outsider's assistance anyway. ...And then he gets replaced by Ghost when the ritual is performed in Hallownest, which he gets to be annoyed about dgdgshsf

That would let Grimmchild be kinda like this verse's equivalent to Lancer, which is neat! A child Rouxls is sort of forced into taking care of who he cares about A Lot (but would never admit it)
