I'm apalled by the recent wave of senseless crimes and rhetoric provoked by disinformation, stoked by unfounded fears, enacted by those with little understanding and lesser humanity. A dear friend's mother was recently harassed a few weeks ago; I was at a loss for words. Today the situation worsened ◆◆◆ I've spent years of my life in Asia and I'm proud to serve as a Fellow in hallowed institutions that work to strengthen these critical cultural ties such as The #USJapanCouncil as well as #TheUnitedStatesJapanLeadershipProgram and @AsiaSociety.
