Shaking his head free of snowflakes, Kyubey pads diligently through the snow in the direction of the Itadori Residence whose windows are shining like a beacon in the dark. He expects the house to get bigger as he approaches, but the window is still eye level by the time he's within touching distance.

Curiously, the incubator leans forward to press his face against the glassβand that's when his new antlers hit against the window with a dull thunk.

He corners the man out of curiosity, finding him not quite human but not knowing why. On a typical day this would be harmless, but a Kyubey standing nearly seven feet tall poses a more subconscious threat. Tail twitching, the incubator moves in to poke the man with the tip of his ear.

The wild and majestic Kyumooseby is only seen once in an extinction-adjacent event, and only on rare occasions when the threat of hunger prompts it to hunt.

Kyuubey had been wounded, but Kyubey was still well, and doing his best to spread the Word of Incubators, Inc. around Hive City. The chaos had increased exponentially in the past 24 hours, leaving the tiny alien with more than enough work on his ears, even with unlimited teleportation and levitation.
He appeared on the top of a crumbling factory in the midst of Sector 02, currently in the midst of a sudden snowfall, and listened. The desperate souls of the oppressed called to him like a sirenβs melody. And Kyubey opened his mind, to speak in turn to all those within his range of telepathy.
Β§ ARE YOU HURT? ARE YOU INJURED? Β§
Β§ CALL FOR ME, AND I WILL HELP YOU. Β§
He paused, waiting for replies, before vanishing from sight.
The next time he reappeared, it was atop a lamppost in Sector 03, still dark from last nightβs blackout. Again, Kyubey stayed still, before repeating the same message.
Β§ ARE YOU HURT? ARE YOU INJURED? CALL FOR ME, AND I WILL HELP YOU. Β§

An identical message, sitting aside a statue atop a shrine in Sector 04.

And again, perched atop a roof overlooking at the shattered glass displays of a popular department store in Sector 05.

Sector 06 was locked in conflict, but Kyubey nestled himself within the charred branches of an old tree and repeated his queries. It would be clear enough in the minds of his listeners.

Onto Sector 01, traveling along with the buildings as he chanted the same lines for the sixth time, like a mantra.

Back to Sector 02, this time on a different factory on the opposite end of the district, making appeals to a different group of people.Β
Pop!Β Pop!Β Pop!
And so he went, teleporting between the sectors in a repeating cycle, asking and waiting. 01 through 06. Alpha through Zeta. Eventually, he knew, someone would reply.
