with  how  much  the  teen  follows  him  around  like  a  lost  annoying  puppy,  it’s  easy  to  forget  that  superboy  is  part  luthor  after  all.  there  is  no  doubt  the  young  hero  could  smash  his  bones  into  a  fine  powder, but  knowing  something  the  other  doesn't  is  not  exactly  a  crime  and  therefore  has  no  legitimate  ground  to  follow  through  on  said  threat.

riddler  never  could  pass  up  the  opportunity  to  work  alongside  batman,  having  a  front  row  seat  to  watch  the  crime  fighter  work  gives  him  valuable  insight  to  the  other’s  process  and  possible  ways  to  defeat  him... for  future  reference, of  course.  not  to  mention  avoiding  being  the  one  ending  up  unconscious  on  gotham’s  six-o'clock  news. it  was  going  quite  well  till  the  case  took  a  slow  turn.  patience  is  a  virtue  edward  is  in  short  supply  of, boredom  is  the  true  enemy  of  a  genius.

That man believes himself to be a professional, a professional idiot is more like it —     ❜  The green gentleman’s ranting doesn't seem to end, all of this over his new therapist calling him egocentric and difficult to deal with to his face. Of course, Edward believes itself to be none of those things and couldn't stand another minute more of hearing what he deems as nonsense. Perhaps taking the time to finish taking off the straight jacket before slipping into Oswald's office would have been wise, but he was too bothered to think about anything else.

                 Edward always had the sneaking suspicion that the Batman was cheating somehow, that someone was transmitting the answers straight into that pointy cowl of his, of course the genius could never prove it... That is, up till now.

                    Who is smart enough to outwit the smartest man in Gotham...?  A riddle he will soon have an answer to.

It wasn't easy hacking into the Batman’s communications nor was it easy intercepting incoming transmissions, not that he was complaining or anything, it has been awhile since he had a challenge worthy of his skill set. Anything less than difficult would've been disappointing.

The  riddle  itself  made  Edward  smile,  it  wasn't  very  good  but  at  least  Harvey  tried,  that’s  what  matters.  It  was  the  originality  that  was  the  sweetest  part,  it  shows  more  care  than  others  who  have  tried  to  lazily  earn  his  affections  by  passing  pre-established  riddles  off  as  their  own.
