his vocals are perfect and the acoustic performance adds a whole new level of pain. this song obviously means a lot to him and it really shows.

i also think his appreciation for gojo's character shines through even more now the arc is over. the last scene of episode 29 brings the opening full circle and it makes the lyrics into even more of an emotional gut punch. i'm really impressed by how the song, the opening visuals, and the arc itself all work together to paint a much more complete picture of what this period in gojo's life meant to him and how it shaped him as a person.

Here is my translation of the song 青のすみか (pronounced "Ao no Sumika"; the official English title being Where Our Blue Is) by singer and songwriter, Tatsuya Kitani. This song is featured in the 2nd season of the animation series Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami.

There is an official English translation of this song, however, here is my take of it!

The lyrics referred in this translation are from Lyrical Nonsense.

the way i audibly gasped at this part when i heard it for the first time

this is easily my favourite op/ed song yet. the lyrics are so beautiful and his vocals are gorgeous and the energy of the song perfectly captures the bittersweet nostalgia of looking back at your youth.

of course, the visuals in the intro help. i am losing my mind at the image of gojo and geto tumbling through the air, laughing and smiling as they fight. it’s becoming more and more obvious that geto was always the cool one and gojo was just a big dork. my sillies </3
