Buckle up because I’ll give you a brief look at scores and then detailed explanations beneath :)
CHROLLO’S
KALLUTO’S
and now for the explainations so grab a snack, i’ll try not to make it too long but......we know how these things go.
CHROLLO’S
Egoism: This score reflects well to him against the rest of the world, but never in regards to the Troupe. He will always put the Troupe first, and often will put individual member’s desires (as long as there is no threat to the spider as a whole) first over his own desires.
Machiavellianism: This has to do with manipulation & a strategic, calculating orientation. And lets be real, that’s exactly what Chrollo is. He showcases it time and time again.
Moral Disengagement: It’s rather obvious Chrollo’s morals are few and far between and do not align with the greater society’s. He doesn’t much care about them and doesn’t consider them unless analyzing someone else.
Narcissism: ...He’d have to have a self-identity for this and he doesn’t other than his occasional want. So it’s more on behalf the troupe.
Entitlement: He doesn’t feel entitled towards anything. But he takes it because he can. Thief after all :)
Psychopathy: Primary? Yes. Secondary? No. Just...just read this.
Sadism: Chrollo isn’t particularly interested - but when he is invested (*cough* Hisoka *cough*) then he can be extremely sadistic and malicious. But, again. He’s rarely ever emotionally invested, even when he’s fighting.
Self-Interest: Chrollo IS motivated by his own interests. However this quiz reduces it down to social status, recognition, etc. And Chrollo doesn’t care for any of that. He doesn’t care how society views him. His interests don’t always align with socially valued domains. Even those material goods he does get, many are often disregarded soon after and not much manages to get his attention. And while he does value the Troupe’s success & achievements, its personal rather than because he wants society to acknowledge it.
Spitefulness: The quiz defines this as “ A tendency to engage in behavior that would harm others but could also entail harm to oneself. “ Obviously Chrollo engages in behavior that harms others which is probably where most of this comes from since he doesn’t mind doing so. But we’ve also seen he’s plenty willing to accept himself being in danger or harms way for a goal.
KALLUTO’S (which I did for post joining Troupe but pre- future verse)
Egoism: Unless it has to do with his family or the Troupe, he doesn’t care and will do things for himself as he sees fit.
Machiavellianism: It runs in the family ✨ What did you expect?
Moral Disengagement: Morals are not something Kalluto sees as useful to an assassin/troupe member. He’s EXTREMELY OBEDIENT to the rules of the family / the Troupe , but not to common morals.
Narcissism: Kalluto doesn’t admire himself or think highly. He knows he’s SKILLED, but he’s exceptionally hard on himself, even despite the fact him joining the Phantom Troupe is a show he’s good enough in their eyes or has the potential, Kalluto often
Entitlement: He DOES think he deserves more attention from his family than he gets (excluding his mother because he loves her and she gives him attention). But he would never dare to say it and keeps it to himself. In regards to anyone else, he doesn’t think he deserves it. Especially not in the troupe.
Psychopathy: A few traits here and there maybe, but he definitely isn’t a psychopath. Nor a sociopath for that matter either.
Sadism: ....Yeah he enjoys torturing his victims. He won’t let it interfere with business or missions. But Kalluto IS already sadistic (as we hear him comment about he shouldn’t toy with prey) and it only gets worse with his time with the troupe.
Self-Interest: Kalluto has a DEEP craving for acknowledgement and success. He doesn’t care much for material goods, but he really, really longs for acknowledgement and success. It drives a lot of what he does, and he clings to every bit of praise that someone gives him.
Spitefulness: Again, most of this is probably from his willingness to hurt others and be in dangerous situations. But Kalluto can be petty when it comes to certain matters. He WILL engage in an ‘eye for an eye’ competition if you start it.

KALLUTO & WHO HE GRAVITATES TOWARDS WITHIN THE TROUPE
As a preface to this, this is purely headcanon and of course can change among individual interactions, just by default when others are npc’s & just mentioned. When I say gravitate, I just mean who Kalluto is often near. If you write one of these characters and want to pre-establish a bond, I would be more than happy too! 🙏 just let me know! Excludes Illumi for obvious reasons as that’s the 2nd strongest bond he has in the family, following his mother.
Regardless of the spot , because of his upbring , Kalluto is always extremely polite & formal. Often overly so until he’s told otherwise to relax or that they don’t mind if he’s more casual.
MAINS HE DEFAULTS TO BEING NEAR
MACHI - Not likely surprising to many , Machi is one of the first he turns to. Both because Kalluto is more familiar being around women due to his close bond with his mother , but Machi was also the first he met and stuck to during Greed Island. He feels a bit more relaxed around her and the bit of a softer side also helps despite Kalluto definitely not needing the softer side.
PHINKS - Although not initially expecting to end up close , Kalluto often turns towards Phinks , especially in a situation where he’s not quite as confident of himself. He can see how Phinks cares more than he likes to act and it draws him closer. Plus , Phinks saved his life despite claiming he was going to leave him to die if he didn’t get away from Feitan fast enough. So Phinks has become something of a figure he can feel safe near.
FEITAN - Admittedly , this is more admiration driven than comfort. Kalluto is both awed and shocked at the other’s speed and skills after the Chimera Ant arc incident when he remarked not even he had seen someone move as fast as Feitan. And naturally when Feitan started to use his nen and he was in awe. He admires the other’s skills and does want to learn from him specifically. ( Also. Kalluto’s admitted sadistic streak plays a bit of a role in his interest in the torturer. ) Lack of chattiness helps him not feel pressured either.
SECONDARY PEOPLE HE DEFAULTS TO
SHALNARK - He is curious about Shalnark and when broken into a smaller group , will often choose to go to him first if one of the first three above is not available. He’s probably the most startling to Kalluto out of the Troupe members and appearances , but not in a bad way. The technology intrigues him a bit and he likes the sound of Shalnark’s voice. His resourcefulness / knowledge is something Kalluto appreciates.
NOBUNAGA - Kalluto doesn’t mind being near the swordsman. Having spent time with him and Machi while tracking down the exorcist , he’s grown comfortable around him. He doesn’t have a lot in common , but he will comfortably be near him and sometimes will chat. The fact Nobunaga offered comfort and kept an eye out for him while Hisoka was near also plays into this.
CHROLLO - Naturally , Kalluto was initially very CAUTIOUS of Chrollo given what his father has said. But after observing from a distance , curiosity has grown bigger and he’s begun to be venture closer now and again to observe or chat. He’s still often a bit uneasy both because of his perceived hierarchy and not necessarily feeling he has a right , but he does find Chrollo calming to be around and slowly wants to interact more.
SHIZUKU - Her lack of emoting is familiar to him given , well , himself and his family. Given Kalluto doesn’t like to outwardly be particularly emotive , this bodes well for him. Her belief in the rules also reminds him of the family in some way. However her forgetfulness can be very frustrating for him for no particular reason. Still , just being around her he often doesn’t mind
DOESN’T / RARELY GO NEAR
FRANKLIN - His analytical nature and loyalty are both aspects Kalluto can admire and his level-headedness compared to some others. But Kalluto doesn’t otherwise find much to draw him around , at least not yet.
KORTOPI - Kalluto is polite , but other than a vague sense of curiosity , Kalluto doesn’t often choose to be around the other unless chance or circumstances say so
BONOLENOV - He has yet to have any particular interest in other than noting him as a member of the troupe.

okay but listen. Kalluto taking Hisoka’s number as #4 of the Phantom Troupe is great. Because 4 is seen as unlucky due to its close pronounciation to another word meaning death. Which , as we see , is obviously chosen when Hisoka has the badge #44 , then the Spider #4 , and a few locations / levels we have. And given Hisoka being , well , Hisoka, the number 4 symbolism fits very well.
But it also fits so well with Kalluto , and like it is being reclaimed. Because Kalluto is already an assassin and has been for years , he mastered Nen before Killua even knew of how to use the basics given his efficiency and specialization and various forms we already see of it. But Kalluto is ALSO a Troupe member now. Assassin and Troupe member , both seen as bringers of death , and so he carries that number and reclaims it for the Troupe

INSIDE THE MUSES’ MINDSCAPES
Naturally this will be a LONG post , so the descriptions shall be placed under a read more so i don’t take up the entirety of the dash. Essentially however , these are the landscapes of each muse’s mind. Meaning that if you / your muse were to step inside my muse’s mind ( and not just a memory ) , this is the scenery that would greet them. Each muse will be bolded & in caps for theoretically easier looking if you want to find a specific muse’s mindscape , but when in doubt, ctrl + f also works to navigate. I didn’t do any of my request muses, but if you’d like to see theirs, you’re welcomed to say for me to in my ask and I will! Or if you’re also curious about why a muse’s mindscape is how it is, I can elaborate there too!

HORN SKULD - Stepping into her mind is stepping into a medieval-esque garden. There are rows of shrubs and carefully tended plants, flowers always in their prime and a beautiful fountain in the middle of the garden area that beckons for one to sit. There is a calm elegance to it that is refreshing to the soul. Birds sing in the flowering trees somewhere and the temperature is neither too hot nor is it too cold, but the perfect temperature with a gentle breeze every now and again. You feel content here.
BYAKKOMARU - It is a location that the demon himself is not entirely sure where it came from (in truth it came from forgotten memories of his life as a human). Sunlight fills a perfect spot near a crystal clear river that soon turns into a waterfall. Peering over the cliff edge reveals a hidden city below. It’s name does not come to mind, yet the heart knows the necessity to protect it. Or at least what is inside it; those that hold value to the tiger. It is a sanctuary and a safe place that he will not allow any threat to enter, because to access it you must cross the demon himself. A fierce protectiveness burns in your chest.
BASTEYA IRCLU - Rather than a stagnant location, Basteya’s main space is that of a Great Western Railway Hall class locomotive in the passenger cars. There’s no one else on board, yet whenever one wants for something, it is there. But rarely is focus within the comfortable passenger train. The focus is outside, which often displays various places that Basteya has been and where he wishes to go again or is frequently thinking about. However, when accessing his memories, the outside of the train turns from landscapes to ‘ previews ‘ of the memories till it stops at where he wants. It makes you want to travel and explore.
CHROLLO LUCILFER - Chrollo’s shifts a bit from time to time. But often his landscape is foggy. Sometimes one will find themselves outside on a path that leads deeper into the fog. One may occasionally pass through gardens or graveyards on the way through the winding path, or even occasionally through the streets. Other times, one may find themselves standing atop towering buildings gazing at the city lights below shining through the dreary weather, idly watching. The other occasional place is a gothic cathedral with ornate stained glass windows and rows of empty pews. Outside of the fog obscures the rest of the world, and somewhere music occasionally drifts softly. The wood creaks in greeting if you sit down. Yet no matter what place you find yourself at, there’s always the sensation that there’s something you need to find, something that slips through your fingers. A vague sense that you are something else in this landscape, a wandering ghost that never quite can settle.
KALLUTO ZOLDYCK - His shifts and changes with age and moments. Often, it is like standing atop black water. It is dark above and dark below, but you never fall nor get wet. Each step however sends ripples across an invisible surface. Sometimes there is an item or figure in the distance ; most often Kikyo or Illumi ( and later the Troupe) and sometimes there’s a cherry blossom tree nearby, petals fluttering around gently in an unfelt breeze. Climbing up the tree offers safety, and climbing to the top reveals a beautiful star riddled sky full of endless possibilities. But do not look behind you from where you appear, or the shadows might latch on and threaten to drag you down.
SUWA - The first thing that registers is how cold it is inside his mind. It is a frigid cold and there’s a sense of heaviness in the air, like a weight pressed down on one’s shoulders. A glance around reveals a person standing up to the top of their ankles in blood extending as far as the eye can see — which isn’t far because of how dark it is. A pitch black darkness that surrounds everything, other than for a single white star high above like light seen from the bottom of the well. But no amount of reaching or walking every brings it closer. Wandering around only brings more horrors from piles of corpses to items floating on the surface of the blood like a hairpin or ruined stuffed animal rabbit. And somewhere deep inside there’s something roaring and chains straining - but nothing ever comes beyond the increasing feeling that you should not be here.
LUCIFER - Fittingly the most celestial appearance of all the mindscapes. Here one is surrounded by dazzling displays of the universe, of galaxies and nebulas. Here one is neither floating nor standing, but existing with everything wrapped around you and an ability to contort and shift the space into whatever one wishes for it to be. There is endless possibilities and no restrictions in this space. Only the freedom to do as one wills. Occasionally the space may take a specific scene if it is willed, but often it is beautifully abstract, where stardust spills through fingertips. It is an overwhelmingly inspiring and freeing spot to be. You feel invigorated.
FENRIR - It is a snowy landscape with harsh winds that threaten to knock one over. But no matter where one turns, there is nowhere and nothing in sight, but there’s only a sense of resignation to this fact. Around the clearing are tall pine trees covered and snow, and every now and again there is the sound of his mother singing. But the cold hurts. It makes all the scars on the body ache, and a chain keeps coiling itself around your ankle no matter how many times you unwrap it and throw it away. If one walks far enough, they may eventually stumble upon a cave, and going inside there it is a fire to help warm your fingers, but it is fueled by hatred. It is not hard to fuel when the gods faces are carved into the wall and makes the hate twist inside your chest.
STHENO - It’s a rough, jagged cliffside where lightening flashes through the sky and it rains. Danger is never far from each step that one takes while navigating the perilous landscape, although there are a few spots of safety that one can settle down in comfortably. But even then, dangerous is not so far removed as to be forgotten. Here there’s nothing that offers comfort, but your heart beats in rhythm with the storm. In the distance you can see water tornados reaching from the black clouds to the raging ocean. Anger bleeds into the air and you can feel it trying to wrap around you.
RUFUS LOHR - Opening your eyes here reveals a sprawling library unfolding before your eyes. It extends forever as far as you can see, consisting of multiple levels and filled to the brim with various books. From where you stand on the top layer, you can see the the floors below. Books shuffle and move here and there, pens write in blank pages by an unseen force, and sunlight filters into the warm oak rows. It’s peaceful and enchanting. If you walked away from this main platform, you think you could happily be lost among the rows and rows of books. Stars are painted onto the high ceilings to mimic the night sky and every now and then there’s a gentle recitation of a poem from an unknown speaker who’s voice is always perfect for the piece. It brings out the inner bookworm.
JACKAL - Open landscapes of the savanna lay sprawling out around everywhere, but ruins jut out from the ground here and there. In the distance smoke trails from an unseen source of destruction, and the scent carries. But it is not suffocating- rather it is an almost comfort. There is a need to move , to do something. Sometimes a figure appears, encourage mischief or chaos, the hunt. After a long day, the warm sun and sound of grass blowing is rather relaxing.
LING WEN - It is a small house, nothing elaborate or extravagant. And yet, it is clearly loved. There are poems written on napkins and small sheets of papers, stories in the works with half-filled journals, and books with pages well worn. High quality inks and papers lay waiting next to a fire that chases away the cold. Outside, winter blizzards blow and howl angrily, refusing to let anyone dare to come close to the lone house. But none of those harsh winds or heavy snows threaten the sanctity of the home. It is calm and quiet other than the crackling of the fire in the fireplace. At will, music may start but otherwise, it remains calm and undisturbed. It is cozy, a place full of passion that remains hidden from the rest of the world. After all, the weight of work demands priority. Yet this dust-free abode of the place indicates a still thriving passion in this harsh existence.
HE XUAN - Most often, it is unsurprising to find themselves underwater within his mind. Yet there is no struggle to breath, no panic. Nothing but a sense of steady calm and the gentle sound of the waves above and fish of thoughts swimming around. At times, one may sit on the sandy shores and simply observe the dark skies- but if they’re clouds or the night sky is hard to tell. At least until feelings of pain or anger surge forth and the waves crash against you over and over again, dragging you into turbulent waters while thunder echoes in your ears. Down to the dark parts of the ocean, no matter how you fight the shadows tug and age old wounds bleed. But, sometimes it is you who flees into the shadows that hold you close and mute the noise of the world away. The ocean does not like to give up what it holds. Not even you.
THOTH - When one opens their eyes, they will find themselves staring down into a bright blue pond in a verdant oasis in the middle of the desert. Yet it is not the sun in the sky but a bright and full moon that is closer than it is in real life. It bathes everything in a soft, silver light and you can’t help but to sit down and enjoy the moment. Ibis stand at the edges of the water but they neither bother nor are bothered by your presence. A small temple stands a short distance away, visibly full of books and scrolls and the soft glow of lanterns. If you go there, you will find answers. But for now you just enjoy the moment.
SEKHMET - It is a dangerous feat to try to enter into her mind. Depending on what part of her is in control, the landscape can drastically differ. When she is slaughtering for Ra or the pharaohs, rivers of blood pour through the desert valleys. The skies bleed red and orange and vultures circle high above the battlefield. It smells of death and slaughter, and war drums pound somewhere in the distance, urging to continue the bloody feast and to devour meat and wine. Sometimes one is standing in the sand, other times one stands at the city walls, ready for the slaughter. Other times, the scenery is drastically different. Lighting fills the temples, and songs fill the air before a table of meats and red alcohols. Sometimes people appear to tell and act out stories before her. Another section of the temple is full of medical herbs and a calming atmosphere few often attribute to the goddess. There are also many sealed boxes. Instinctively, you know you should not touch them.
NAGARE HISUI - His space resembles that out of the sci-fi genre. Screens full of information and data points, games, lists to do. Many of the screens are green or blue, and all appear before a gigantic tree that resembles that of the JUNGLE clan’s symbol. The tree is taller than you can see the top of, and one feels like a baby ant next to it. But luckily it is distant so as to not be too overwhelming. Turning around however reveals the small room of the JUNGLE headquarters main area that is the same here as it is in life. Often those close to him are present, offering him insight. On very rare occasions however, this scenery may be traded for sitting atop the rooftop of Mihashira Tower at night, while all the city below is alive and vibrant with colors and nightlife. It summons a feeling of change and optimism for the future - a desire for change.
YUKARI MISHAKUJI - For the fascination of the beauty angel in vivid beauty, his mind is quite calm. Often the place most commonly depicted is a stone bench in a japanese garden in blossom. A mini-waterfall trickles softly over the rocks, and vibrant colored koi fish swim in the water with elegant grace. A tea set sits at a table, ready to be poured, and a set of calligraphy brushes and fresh paper sit in an elegant gold and black box to the side. Often the sounds of guqin and/or flute music fill the air alongside the sound of birds. Sometimes there are guests, sometimes it is just him. It’s a peaceful, beautiful space with the skies painted pink and purples with the setting suns and the stars just starting to shine. On a rare occasion, this may be traded for relaxing on a boat drifting through a river of memories under a starry sky. It is always so beautiful and it hurts to look away.
AARAVOS - Rather surprisingly, his mindscape is not somewhere new or historic or fantastical or abstract. It’s almost an exact replica of his prison within the mirror. He does not mind it. Here there are books and places to wander, there is chess and a fireplace and comfort to relax in. The only difference is an apple tree in one corner of the room, towering and full of gold-colored apples he occasionally plucks. He doesn’t need to escape or alter anything from reality or his mind. Yet even should he one day escape from his current prison, his mind will likely still choose to host the scenery of that familiar space. It is more of a home than any other place he has lingered.

Kalluto WILL observe and remember the things that your muses like. Gift-giving or acts of service are one of the few things he does understand due to Kikyo , his mother , ‘s influence. Favorite foods ? flowers ? colors ? clothing styles ? weapons ? animals ? music ? it’ll all be things he recognizes and remembers. Kalluto doesn’t vocalize his emotions very well other and he isn’t otherwise affectionate given his home environment. He shows his care for someone by choosing to be around them and giving little gifts or doing little gestures like brushing their hair.

Kalluto does not tell his family about any of the Troupe activities or information. Ironically , his own upbringing plays a large role in this. Loyalty to the family is quite obviously a big deal within the Zoldycks. Although Kalluto joined for a purpose , Kalluto also puts himself under that label and as such to abide by the few rules of the Troupe rather than ones he follows with his family. He was raised with loyalty as a highly prized aspect. Loyalty to the family. But also now loyalty to the Spider because loyalty is still that prized commodity in his mindset. So unless it’s something extremely concerning in a way that would matter to the family ( and the likelihood of that is low ) he won’t. Likewise , he won’t tell the troupe about his family. Unless Chrollo or someone asks if they’re currently accepting contracts or other such business information.
Another factor that plays in is that he doesn’t visit home very often and ends up preferring to stick with select troupe members or groups. He’s the shadow ; other than his Mother we don’t actually see most of the family interact with Kalluto other than Illumi later on. ( Even before they were just at the same place but didn’t talk. ) He cares about both sides greatly. BUT he does actually open up after time about one of his talents to the Troupe and NEVER to his family. At least certain members ; Chrollo knows and Kalluto would be willing to share with those top three and certain secondary people he bonds to. You can read more about that HERE.

Kalluto has always had a sadistic streak , but its more apparent in his future verse. Even as a child however he clearly displays enjoyment as he messes with the Chimera Ant. At the end he remarks “ I should really break this habit of toying and beating my enemies to a pulp. “ While Milluki enjoys talking a bout his ideas or how to kill , Kalluto explicitly enjoys the act OF killing. It only grows as he spends many of his years with the Phantom Troupe and the violence of the group.
He won’t go out of his way to kill , only kill those who he’s hired to kill as a Zoldyck or those who get in the way or make an enemy of the Phantom Troupe. But that said , he will more openly show his sadistic streak or in torture if it’s necessary for gaining information.

What sentimental objects does Isake currently possess?
Only the half of their father’s mask. That’s the only sentimental object he has. Though he also has the blades isame made for him too.
Does Kalluto have any type of affection that he prefers, whether in terms of giving or receiving?
No. Kalluto doesn’t understand types of affection but he wouldn’t have a preference if he didn’t. Even just acknowledging him is enough let alone actual affection.

1. If not around Feitan, Phinks, or Machi, Kalluto tends to gravitate towards Kortopi. He doesn’t feel pressured to talk if he doesn’t want to, which is just fine with Kalluto since he’s not used to talking a lot.
2. In his free time, Kalluto tends to sit and do origami. This includes origami people (not his nen paper dolls, but elaborate origami people like THIS ). Kalluto made a very detailed version of Kortopi and gave it to him as a gift. And by give i mean offered it without a word.
3. If there’s a question in regards to matters of the troupe, Kortopi’s one of, if not the, first person Kalluto tends to task.
4. Kortopi tends to be the one to need to prompt Kalluto to sleep / eat sometimes. He’s often overlooked given the fact Kalluto sticks more to the outside (though he is improving!) and will go for a while without either due to his training, which he still works on.

1. Kalluto occasional buys gifts for Kyouka even without prompting or reason. He just does it, especially if he sees something he thinks she would like.
2. If Kalluto needs her attention, he tends to just gently tug on her sleeve. But often times he’s content to just quietly follow her around.
3. Kalluto has also made and bought small outfits and/or accessories for her various rabbit plushies. He never had any really himself, but he figured from stores that’s normal.
4. If they pass by a garden or area with flowers, Kalluto is prone to sometimes napping a couple and sneaking them into Kyouka’s hair. He thinks she looks pretty with them.

Kalluto suffers from various types of psychological disorders , although he ( like the rest of the family ) is unaware of any ‘ issues. ‘ Below contains the details specifically on his attachment disorder caused by early neglect.
A lot of his stem from emotional / psychological neglect , which is why he begins to thrive and blossom with the Phantom Troupe. This is why he begins to talk a bit more around them when his previous screen time’s only line was “ who are you ? “ whereas here he begins to talk to the Troupe members. While he was given attention through training , he rarely to never received any sort of emotional warmth or care outside of these settings in the way Illumi likely did and Killua certainly has , like having that talk and promise with Silva before he leavess. Kalluto was never given that. Which led to the most prominent issue he faces.
Kalluto has a form of Reactive Attachment Disorder aka RAD. The requirements for this according to the DSM-5 ( the most current version as of this post being made )
Code 313.89 DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA
A. consistent pattern of inhibited, emotionally withdrawn behavior toward adult caregivers, manifested by both of the following:
- The child rarely or minimally seeks comfort when distressed.
- The child rarely or minimally responds to comfort when distressed.
B. A persistent social and emotional disturbance characterized by at least two of the following:
- Minimal social and emotional responsiveness to others.
- Limited positive affect.
- Episodes of unexplained irritability, sadness, or fearfulness that are evident even during nonthreatening interaction with adult caregivers.
C. The child has experienced a pattern of extremes of insufficient care as evidenced by at least one of the following:
- Social neglect or deprivation in the form of persistent lack of having basic emotional needs for comfort, stimulation, and affection met by caregiving adults.
- Repeated changes of primary caregivers that limit opportunities to form stable attachments (e.g., frequent changes in foster care.)
- Rearing in unusual settings that severely limit opportunities to form selective attachments (e.g. institutions with child-to-caregiver-ratios.)
BREAK DOWN OF DIAGNOSE
SECTION A
Kalluto expresses both of these due to his training , as most of these will be. Kalluto rarely expresses any distress and almost never lets it show. As a Zolydck , he is expected to not feel this often and to be trained not to react or respond to it. Even if he is distressed , he is not to let it show. When he does seek it , it is simply by grabbing a sleeve or standing close to the figure that they have attached to the most. ( Often his mother , Illumi , or Phinks / Feitan / Chrollo / Machi )
But if given comfort by another figure , he rarely reacts externally. Internally he is likely reacting , but externally ? Not so much. For example in his TWST verse with Kalim ( @thechessboard ‘s amazing portrayal ) , Kalluto doesn’t know how to react to being given comfort even outside of being distressed. Things that normal kids would react to he doesn’t , nor get upset. He typically just looks or might lean into a touch.
This does NOT oppose his need for validation and attention that also stems from neglect. Because Reactive Attachment Disorder focuses on when in distress , this is how he behaves in distress. Althogh in truth , Kalluto rarely expresses anything due to his upbringing and training. He does crave attention and praise and will respond to it more , but in times of distress he does not seek comfort often or doesn’t know how to respond. That’s how he can have RAD even with the need for attention and his general attachment to select figures.
SECTION B
I mentioned this above. He fullfills the first 2 points. He has minimal social / emotional responsiveness as well as limited positive affect ( facial expressions , movement , tone. )
Kalluto does not have much of an emotional response to others. He rarely reacts unless it is someone that he cares about. Another kid crying ? Nothing. Another kid laughing ? Nothing. Kalluto simply does not possess the development to have an emotional response and it has been trained into him that such things are BAD and WEAKNESSES. It is a reason he does not get along or interact with children despite being a child himself. A dying person could collapse at his feet and he’d not react at all. He also does not speak often unless given permission to ( though he’s learning to do so more ) and does not engage unless engaged with first.
His positive affect is nearly nonexistence. This references facial expressions , movements , gestures , and tone. First off , he rarely talks and his tone stays the same mostly. But he rarely shows much facial expression. Even being praised and given attention like he desires , even if Kalluto is extremely happen , he does not emote very well. Sometimes he can manage a small smile or looks of fear when something IS too strong , but generally ? Nothing. He does truly care and adore the attention , but he’s trained too much and taken it to heart.
SECTION C
Kalluto lacked the first and third points of this section. He was raised in unusual circumstances as being trained to be an assassin by his family that severely limited opportunities to form attachments. Hence why he attaches so much to his Mother as well as Illumi. Those are the two he is frequently around with outside of training , meaning he is the most attached to them. He would put them or their wishes first before others , even other family members , though Kalluto loves all his family. Because of this unique circumstance however , he also did not receive the affection or comfort normal children receive. They are assassins , and they need to be strong and tough. There is no need for it. But the rare moments Kalluto HAS received the affection and attention have been made all the more important and valuable BECAUSE they were so rare , and thereby fueling his other attachment issues to cling to the few that give him attention such as his Mother , Illumi , and Kalim.

Kalluto is a master of Tessenjutsu , aka the martial arts of the war fan. This was a skill taught to him by his mother , Kikyo , under her direct training due to it being a skill from her family line. Out of all the children , Kalluto had a natural affinity to the technique , and thrived in that field of martial arts. Kalluto is gifted in both using the traditional combat , iron war fans as well as any other sort of fan. His fan that he often uses ( and is seen in the header ) however is NOT made of iron. It is a simple paper one , but there are darts hidden inside some of the spines/bones of the fan . Paper is sufficient for Kalluto , as he can infuse his Nen ( aka unique magic ) into it to strengthen it. He’s shown to be able to cut through a steel pipe several times with only his paper fan.
This said , he does have a particular love for fans and possess several combat-styled ones but he rarely uses them outside of show. But even just shopping , Kalluto is typically drawn towards tradition hand fans , especially unique ones.

Kalluto’s canon talents & abilities ( or those implied by Illumi / Killua discussing their training as assassins and then adjusted for Kalluto’s younger age )
- Poison Immunity ; can distinguish hundreds of poisons , toxins , chemicals by taste , smell , etc.
- High tolerance to electricity ( in the 850,000 volts range , hurts but can endure it )
- Advanced speed ( able to cross miles of mountain in mere minutes )
- Advanced Agility
- Advanced Endurance ( able to go 70 km run without sweating , can take torture without batting an eyelash at it )
- Advanced strength ( able to push & carry hundreds of pounds )
- Can go days without sleep or food and still be in a normal mindset.
- Master Stealth : He is able to completely conceal his presence if he wishes so no one will notice him even if he is watching
- Rhythm Echo: creates several after-images of his body through a varying cadence of steps. There is a total absence of noise during the movement

- Claws ( As all Zoldycks can , he can rearange the anatomy of his hands to turn his nails into claws capable of ripping flesh apart with ease )

Kalluto’s Nen ( aka what would be considered Unique Magic by twst muses )
PAPER SURVEILLANCE DOLLS - Kalluto can attach a piece of paper confetti to a person and create a paper doll that allows them to hear everything around that person . Only a singular piece of confetti is needed , size and shape do not matter. Kalluto has mastered this skill so well that not even the Phantom Troupe was able to detect it was being used on them. However , if the confetti is removed , the ability ceases to function and if the paper cutout is destroyed he has to make another.
DANCE OF THE SERPENT’S BITE - This ability is initiated by Kalluto releasing a certain amount of paper confetti that spins around him. He utilizes his fan to help with the attack , as he can cause the paper to attach from a multitude of angles. If a single piece stays , Kalluto can manipulate all the other pieces to attack that exact spot again while forming a serpent shape. Although perhaps not initially seeming dangerous , the ability is powerful enough to tear apart limbs without difficulty due to his own nen being infused into it. Further more , opponent often laugh seeing it , lowering their guard. A single piece easily destroy vulnerable spots such as the eye , ad the serpent attack , as said , can tear through limbs and kill. It’s also very effective for torture , as he can manipulate how much damage and pain it will cause from tons of painful but shallow cuts to slitting throats to the removal of limbs.

KALLUTO’S RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILY

ZENO: Formal, polite. Kalluto doesn’t have a particularly strong relationship with him, but has had mostly positive interactions with him the times they do. Kalluto would like to make him proud, but would take make other’s proud before Zeno.
SILVA: A stronger relationship than with Zeno , but less than both Kikyo and Illumi , but higher than his siblings. However, Kalluto will follow Silva’s orders before anyone else’s, other than Kikyo depending on the situation. He’s well aware of his place , and strives to make Silva proud and/or impressed. Despite any punishments and training , he holds no ill will. Even with his direct rebellion of Silva’s remarks to stay away from the Phantom Troupe , he wants to be in Silva’s good graces. He holds no expectations of being close with his father despite wanting to be closer , and harbors doubts his father would care much if something happened to him.
KIKYO: A very strong relationship , the strongest within the family. He adores his mother and readily listens to her be it in conversation or commands. Unlike the majority of his family , she acknowledges his existence and feeds his desire for attention and acknowledgement. He is almost always at her side , knows her more than any of his siblings , and would do near anything for her. He has taken up to being quite proficient in many skills she is , and loves spending time with her and is usually the first he shows something new to. Even when he’s older , although his reliance on her has greatly decreased , he still loves and adores his mother and tends to and cares for her.
ILLUMI: The second strongest bond , on his side. Kalluto is very aware of Killua’s higher status on Illumi’s side , but he doesn’t care. Illumi is really the only other person that acknowledges Kalluto , even taking him on missions ( See Yorknew Arc ) and knowing he’s around. Thus , Kalluto has a great love for Illumi , and desires to make him proud almost as much as their parents. Illumi is safe , and home , if kikyo is not around. He would equally do just about anything for his big brother , sacrificing his own comfort for Illumi even if he knows Illumi doesn’t need it , and shows great respect to Illumi. He just loves Illumi so much. Older Kalluto continues to absolutely adore his oldest brother , but worries for him too .
MILLUKI: Neutral. There’s not much interaction between the two other than Kalluto delivering messages from their mother to him. Kalluto has a slightly disdainful opinion , but Milluki is still his brother and is loved. He does not seek approval from him , but would still spend time or listen to Milluki explain things if asked. Older Kalluto has almost no relationship with him beyond blood.
KILLUA: Uncertain. Kalluto has no idea what he has done to cause Killua to ignore him , walking by him without even seeming to see him , leaving him lost on what to do. He want’s Killua’s attention , but does not know how. Even so , when Killua is home , Kalluto does little things for his brother’s sake. Presents or food outside his door , distracting mom to give him more time , things of that nature. It’s the best he can think of to do things for Killua , longing for acknowledgement. Older Kalluto has also a decreased want of attention , and he now runs with the Phantom Troupe , placing an tension on the ties since Kalluto is both Zoldyck and Spider. However , Kalluto will still come when asked or keep in contact , but is wary.
ALLUKA: Near nonexistent. He recognizes the name and is aware of what has occurred to her , and has a few vague memories. He keeps his distant since he knows how his family reacts. When he’s older, the vague memories are nonexistent, and she is just a name and a face he hasn’t seen for over a decade. However , regardless of age , Kalluto always treats her nicely when they interact.
