AR Speaks OOC
Going to be real with you all for a bit.
I’m not even really on Che’nya’s page right now - I’m making this post from my main and just changing the poster.
To be honest, I’m a bit nervous to change to Che’nya’s. Because I can see I have over 50 notifications, but I know I actually have even more, because I had more that got marked as “read” even though I hadn’t dealt with them before logging off the last time I was on.

And that may not be a lot to some of you, but for me, someone who tries to answer as many of you as I can… that’s a lot.
As much as I want to pop back onto Che’nya and see what chaos Che’nya can cause and see what mischief all of you have for me, that’s… a bit overwhelming for me right now.
I may just have to drop some reblog chains that were going on if I come back today, unfortunately.
I hope that would be okay with everyone?
I put so much energy into every one of my responses that even one usually takes a lot of time. Even looking for the proper gif I want to use for the situation can take up quite a bit of time for me. I’m a perfectionist by nature. And it doesn’t help that some gif’s that come up with some “cat” keywords are uhhhhh… yeah. 😳 So by the time I’ve responded to one notification, I’ve often gotten several more.
And yeah, a lot of them are likes and things I don’t need to respond to, but still. Because of how much effort I put into the responses, I often take small breaks to chat to people in DMs and on discord between responses so I don’t completely melt my brain. But that takes up even more time…
Which all combines to mean that being on Che’nya is often a several hour straight event for me.
And that’s honestly why I get so burnt out so quickly - why I often appear and then disappear for a while. Which doesn’t help the situation, of course.
So that’s why I’m posting this.
Because I think that’s just how I’m going to have to do this from now on. As much as I hate leaving people hanging, I’m just going to have to choose some chains to end in order to focus on more recent ones and hopefully manage my notifs better.
That way, I can feel better coming back with Che’nya and won’t disappear so often and so frequently. He likes to disappear, but not as often as he has been. 😅
I won’t be getting on Che’nya right after posting this, but I will check my blog later and look at this post to see the general response of people before looking at notifications.
And sorry to those I was having dm convos with - @blind0raven probably, as well as @castaway-achlys because since I haven’t been checking I haven’t gotten your messages.

i really think the otom.e rper experience is having a list of oto.mes you have yet to play and telling yourself you'll get to them, mainly bc you know youll want verses / muses in each games.

Right now I am unsure when I will return but I am considering something, two things actually:
Perhaps reducing the muselist a bit, probably not as much as one would expect since I don't force myself to use every single muse but still. Or perhaps find a different more effective way of sorting them?
Remaking, I would still have the same url and whatnot but I think for my muses I'd like to consider it a reboot and plot out the relationships and plots I have going on. I am considering this because right now the literal blog has some sad memories, friends who I fell out with, for one reason or another, along with cases where I was just flat out mistreated or otherwise unhappy, I don't want this all clinging to me forever and I don't want my writing to be stuck in this too.
If I do remake, and just in general I don't think I will be active on blog again until I have all my links done, it might take awhile since it's a lot of writing but I am also really tried of my blog always being a WIP.

quarterly check-in time ( + some house-keeping ) ! it is now the halfway mark of my semester and i am realizing how nanami ( jjk ) coded i am bc i - to the extreme - min-max my time to maximize my academic output. work-life balance ? not in this house ; only work. as always , feel free to skip over this or read this at your leisure , but i will preface there’s a somewhat IMPORTANT note at the end.
i was invited to join symposium day in april. which , again , is another major honor on my part , but i declined bc - full disclosure - i am not a man who does well with public speaking. so , while i would’ve appreciated the accreditation of speaking , i also know that i would’ve stood at the podium , shook like a leaf and been so nervous that i made ( very bad ) jokes the entire presentation of my research projects OR i would’ve spoken so quietly they would’ve had to turn my mic ALL THE WAY UP bc no-one could hear my stupid ass as i mumbled through the whole thing. the board member who was inviting me was like , “you know , i don’t think you give yourself enough credit” and i had to sit with that for a little while.
remember when i said i was accepted into the Psi Chi honors society ? well , golly gee , there’s A FEE for membership ! how dare you want my time and my commitment and then demand my nonexistent money. absolute malarkey.
in moral theology i want to report that whenever the prof brings up sociology and/or psychology , he IMMEDIATELY does the *pauses , looks at me in the front row* “... mav?” IN LIKE. the most expectant way. bc he knows i have input on the subject. i’m the resident nerd ig. NOT LIKE I’M THE ONLY PSYCH MAJOR IN THAT CLASS BTW. i’m just the only one with a big mouth.
i’ve noticed i have a rapport with several professors on-campus now … like , they will actually stop and wave to me when they see me or flag me down to talk to me and i *clenches fist* it makes me so happy. it’s wild to come to the realization that these people genuinely GIVE A SHIT about me and how my education is going , i’ll say it.
as for my house-keeping tidbit : i cannot believe that i have to remind everyone about smth that is stated NUMEROUS TIMES in my rules , about smth that i make evident whenever we talk ooc - please , my compatriots in christ , COMMUNICATE . in lieu of being hard-blocked by a now ex-mutual who i perceived as a ( good ) friend , over … i truly do not know what … i was so blindsided by this , i nearly deleted my blog out of shock and anxiety. we are all adults , and none of us are mind-readers. if ever there is a concern or smth you need to tell me , just do so !! this is not meant as a vague , nor is meant to be a vent , but i do want to make clear that i am always open to being approached. thank you.

Gonna let y'all know a few things.
I will not be writing Adam as an intentionally abusive husband/father, I will not be writing emotionally charged Family arguments with people unless it's discussed beforehand.
Adam isn't Mr perfect. But I don't think he's gonna be a horrible person(intentionally) to people he genuinely gives a fuck about.
If you want Family drama with him, I ask that we talk and be on the same page beforehand.
That said, I'm not gonna tell you how to write him either, write him how you wanna. I'm not here to tell you how to do your own things, bc that's not my business.
All this is, is a personal boundary I'm putting up, bc I didn't know I needed to until a few days ago, which is why I needed to take a break from writing the OG dick.
