“If I stayed in bed, I’d get nothing done and then I’d have Lord Elrond behind me,” he murmured as he dropped his quill to cup your back and stroke your head. He felt your body melt into his lap and the moment of contact and smile. “If Lord Elrond shows up, I’m blaming you.”

Shaking his head with a timid smile, he scooted closer to your side and pulled the blanket over your shoulders. “Sometimes I forget that I am elf due to the volume of times you become unwell, meleth-nîn,” he whispered and pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead.
