Botanical Headcanons - Accepting
I think Chrome enjoys the winter holidays. It is a time of getting together with family and sharing gifts with people. She likes getting chocolates and sweets the most from it. She is a little tickled by the German tradition of putting one's shoes outside for treats from Saint Nick for example. It is not the only tradition she likes for the winter holidays. There is more that she likes to learn from other people.
She would enjoy traveling to other countries, because it is a huge mess in Japan during the wintertime and New Years’. Ken and Chikusa fight over who gets KFC, and M.M. would much rather get something less oily, but expensive. She would much rather she spend time alone with Mukuro, but she does have to share his attention with his other comrades.
She might wander off I think, flutter over to the Vongola to share gifts. She is an ambassador of sorts for the Kokuyo Gang. I like to consider her one-half of the Mist Guardian.

CW: Pregnancy (Chrome's inability to do so) and Childrearing. Please remember that Chrome is her ten years later self and older in this headcanon.
Chrome does not have many surviving organs, and cannot get pregnant. However, they have frozen her eggs. If she wants children, she must adopt or consider a surrogate mother.
I do think she is hesitant about having children at first. She is not sure she would be a good mother. She did not have a good mother, but she does consider Sawada Nana a good mother. I think she would ask her about motherhood before even considering a child.
I think she also is not sure Mukuro wants a child. He does not have any father figures, and Fran is like an annoying younger brother to Mukuro. They are part of the mafia. Their children will have targets on their backs. I think there is a lull or plateau for the Tenth famiglia before Chrome and Mukuro discuss children.
For the Rokudo family, I think she would go for two biological children, and for the rest, she would adopt. The adopted children would most likely be from other mafia families who have been experimented on like Mukuro's been.

(8) What do they sleep in? PJ's, normal clothes, nothing?
In the future arc, we see Chrome in nothing but her undergarments. Chrome is very used to not having much. Until Mukuro is back, she is mostly in her undergarments--an undershirt and boy shorts for sleep. When she was expelled from the Kokuyo Gang, she had gotten a decent set of pajamas. Probably got another set of pajamas from Nana Sawada.
Nowadays, Chrome is in pj's and sometimes normal clothes. She takes good care of herself and the Kokuyo Gang has a nice home or headquarters. She is thankful, but she just wishes Chikusa and Ken stop arguing.
(6) What do they normally dream about? Nightmares or nonsense?
Her dreamscape in the meadow. She dreams she is sitting with Mukuro and they are talking. She is learning more things about illusions and the dying will flames. Butterflies are fluttering about and Mukurou/Fukuro is there. She is content for the first time in her life.
(18) Do they prefer cats or dogs? Or neither?
Chrome likes both, but she will always risk her health to save a cat. There are pros and cons to having either, but I think Chrome would get a kitten. She is not sure she would be there enough for a dog. A cat is more self-reliant as long as the litter box is cleaned. If she has a dog, I think an Italian greyhound or a shiba inu is up her alley.
Hibari probably likens Chrome to that of a baby animal. What exactly? That's up a Hibarimun. I think that is why he took care of her and is nicer to her than to Mukuro. So, I think Chrome just feels a kinship towards cats.
(27) What do they never, ever want to speak of, ever?
Her dead name or her mother and stepfather. Those times have passed. Nagi is dead. Again the only person who can call her by her dead name is Mukuro.

Sarina prefers sleeping alone. I think she has her own suite at the Varia headquarters. She had to live in the barracks at one point, but she made it through the ranks. The only companion she needs is Vittoria at this time.
She will get annoyed if she sleeps with someone and they want her to stay with them. Her reasoning? She is used to being alone. She never once received affection from her father. She will need to be "ordered" to stay.
Chrome prefers sleeping alone I feel. Similar reasons. Chrome is used to being by herself. I do not think she received affection even when she was young from her mother. She will probably also need to be ordered to stay.

Gifted to her in the future arc from ten years later Mukuro, these box weapons have been waiting to serve their mistress. This is proof that Chrome can become a separate entity from Mukuro. They can work in tandem with Mukurou or Fukuro.

Allows Chrome the capability to summon a group of moths in her arsenal of varying colors and flames. The leader of this eclipse of moths is Chandra. She sees herself as the Queen of moths. The moths have a vampiric attribute and can absorb flames to help energize true illusions.
With the energy that Chrome takes from another's flame, Chrome changes it to Mist Flame to command her butterflies and moths. The butterflies are usually diurnal while the moths are typically nocturnal.

Chrome has her own box animal she uses when she cannot use Mukurou.
For me, I believe box animals are kind of like the spirit, totem, and power animals you would see today in many cultures. Animals have long been known as motifs in many art and technology.
But back to Chrome. I feel her box animal when she does not have Mukurou are the moth and butterfly. It is a symbol of many things, but everyone agrees it is a sign of change and metamorphosis. There are variant types of butterflies, and they all come in different colors. This will become important in the future.
I am not sure what to name these butterflies, but they come in different colors and different species. It is important to note that some cultures believe the butterfly is a representative of the soul and sometimes means death and rebirth. Much of the motifs for Chrome and Mukuro are duality, death and rebirth, reincarnation, and Buddhist and Western traditions.

“Maybe I was safe to you, and you needed to feel that.”
Chrome looked up at him with her one good eye. There was pain in it. M.M. warned her that Mukuro was just using her, but that was fine with her. She needed him as much as he needed her, but maybe she needed him more because of the illusion organs that helped her live.
“True, Mukuro-sama, but I needed you as much as you needed me at one time,” she said. “We were simply using each other to survive.”
A small, melancholic smile as she looked at Mukuro. She blinked the tears back.
“M.M. from the future warned me which was kind of her,” Chrome said. She did not know what else to say. So why did it feel like Mukuro was having a tough time with this as well? They were not bonded anymore. She was not merely his vessel anymore.
So why…? Were they so intrinsically linked? Perhaps. It gave her hope, but she quelled it from going further. There was no way in any of the Hells she would beg him to stay. Mukuro may have been her savior and someone she looked up to now. However, now, he was someone she wanted to surpass and be an equal.
“Goodbye, Mukuro,” she said. Except it would not be goodbye. No, by the time he comes back to the town, she would have grown immensely as an illusionist in her own right.

“Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound lasts a lifetime.” He told her and after waking she had such a migraine.
Sometimes she wondered where her mother and stepfather were, and other times she did not. Sure, Ken, Chikusa and M.M. were trying to get her attention, but she just did not feel like paying them any mind. All they wanted was Mukuro, they did not really care about the girl who was his vessel for the time being.
Good, let’s keep it that way, she once thought, while thinking of unsheathing the trident from her bag.
She was the same way. She only cared about Mukuro who rescued her from near-death and being unwanted from her parents. Ken, Chikusa, and M.M. were strangers to her as it was. Here, she was still unwanted, but the only person who could give her a reprieve from the neglect was Mukuro.
And she hated relying on him. Started to resent him in some ways, but still, she respected and loved him. She would do anything for him to be around again, however, she hated having to butt heads with his three lackeys. She watched as Chikusa and Ken got into another fight. Watched as M.M. did nothing but yell at them both to shut up. Then, started to turn her attention towards Chrome.
“You summon him! You summon him, now!” M.M. demanded Chrome. The older girl annoyed her.
“Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound lasts a lifetime,” she said. “His words. Not mine.” She turned to Ken and Chikusa.
And his problem when and if he comes back, but hopefully it stops Ken and Chikusa from continuing their quarrels. It sure shut M.M. up long enough for her to wander away from the run-down school they called their headquarters.

Chrome Dokuro is originally a young girl who Mukuro happened to come across in his astral projection travels. She suffered grievous wounds when she rescued a cat from getting run over. He found a way to let Chrome live without Chrome having to die because her mother refused to donate. He knows Chrome’s dead name and is the only one who can use it. In exchange for living, Chrome must fight. She joined the Vongola as Mukuro’s stand-in for the Mist Flame Guardian.
