LeafWing headcanons:
The SapWings are a tribe of mostly artists and scientists and botany is their most common field.
All LeafWings hold intelligence in high regard, which is why Hazel is so fond of the idea that she might need glasses.
Mandrake and Sundew were actually close friends, and Sundew tried to encourage him not to let Nettle push him around as much.
LeafWings often hatch with small ‘leaves’ on their frills. These leaves are not actually plants but rather evolved to help camouflage. Willow, for example has a drooping willow-frond-like extension of her frill.
SapWings will deliberately grow plants on their scales like mosses and grasses. A SapWing that can successfully grow lots of plants on them is held in the highest honour.
