Doctor Aybolit feels like they only had 30 or maybe even 15 minutes to work with every voice actor except for Evgeniy Papernyy, and I thought the occasional switching around in Treasure Island 1988 was bad! And mind you, it’s not simply characters having two voices for speaking and singing, it’s that the actors were constantly juggling characters, I don’t think they even settled on a voice for the freaking title character... The immersion-breaking this causes is definitely a factor in Aybolit being the part of the David Cherkassky trilogy I like the least.
