SLUMPED SHOULDERS HUNG LOW AS ARMS DANGLED INTO LOOSE POCKETS.
Carelessly trudging forth down the dark hallway, sulk highlighted within the light of the moon. Just enough of said light creeping through thick curtains to highlight reflection upon dimmed lenses. A feeling ached deep inside one's soul. Nothing of the usual, nor was it anything to celebrate. Rather -- it wreaked of gloom. Pure && utter sadness stemming from the circumstances of replacement. His replacement.
They said they needed someone younger. Someone who could pursue the ideals of satanism without excessive bribes. Convincing those who hail innocence to express a new reach of boundaries, to express their loyalty to Lucifer. Someone who didn't need to run their body dry each night via those under a trance of lust. He knew his demise would approach but could hardly handle the impact soon to draw after the fall from glory, even with the knowledge of his downfall beforehand. He didn't meet the requirement for new members by a long shot.
It could only be deemed as a failure. The harsh words and piercing glare bestowed upon the man held a phantom sense. He could still feel those eyes, he could still feel the disappointment. He could still hear all those words he was told. Echoing in his mind, content with no need to leave. He wanted those awful words to leave. No matter how his sorrow was drowned out, it'd all come back gradually.
Throughout the corridor a loud slam echoed, followed by Cassio storming to his bedside table.
