rajeev and anakin LOVE. rajeev is so sweet to anakin and it's so!!!! and anakin is smitten so quickly. i love the dynamic between these two. i love rajeev being a big sap just like anakin. from their iconic bathroom piercing first interaction to rajeev storming the temple to find anakin from rajeev swearing that he'll always tell anakin the truth, that he'll stick by him even when things are difficult,,, they're just so cute together.

a'sharad and anakin childhood friends to lovers!! a classic!! i enjoy the way they interact together when they're babies. anakin yapping while asha listens intently, chiming in when he wants to. and then i love how the friendship forces anakin to face what he did to the tuskens. and how asha wants to understand anakin, takes the time to (even if the questioning annoys anakin aka boy is defensive when being faced with his own prejudice).

roan and anakin rivals (??) to lovers!! anakin's life is a cycle. love roan's gentleness (topped with teasing) with anakin. he's honest and real without being harsh. he helps anakin out of a mindset he's been in for so many years.

talon and dryden he trusts her with his life which isn't something he does lightly. and he does it so quickly,, partly bc of the situation of which they meet. he sees her for everything that she is and all the experiences she's been forced through. he hopes she sees him for all that he is, too. he admires her for how she is after enduring it all. and he knows she can handle herself, but he has made it his personal job to ensure she never has to suffer how she once did again.

han and dryden it really starts as something fun and entertaining for dryden, but dissolves into something scarily real for him. he adores han. so much so that he just accepts it when he thinks he leaves him.

tayala and bode that's his wife!! we see from the game how losing her ruined him as a person. she was his everything. we haven't done a crazy amount with them yet, but i love their first meeting. it's both hilarious and adorable.

Ferus likes Anakin's eyes. They're the most beautiful shade of blue he's ever seen and, to him, they feel way more natural than the shade of blue that makes up Coruscant's sky. He also likes that Anakin doesn't let himself be swayed away from what he believes is the right thing to do; even if it can be infuriating, he thinks it's admirable. Another thing he likes about Anakin —cause Anakin will kill me if I don't mention this— is his arms. He thinks Anakin has nice arms.

It's not that he doesn't enjoy it. He does. He really does enjoy these tender moments they get to share, away from the attention they both tend to attract. But it's new. Foreign. He's never let anyone get this close– he doubts anyone has ever wanted to get as close to him as Anakin wants to be, no matter how many times Tru has told him that someone had been looking at him, or how attractive Anakin thinks him to be, Ferus firmly believes Anakin to be an exception to the fact that people don't find him all that interesting. He might have the looks to lure someone close, but he doesn't have the personality to keep them around. Hell, Ferus still isn't quite sure what's got Anakin so hooked. He's not even sure what possessed him to allow this in the first place. But he, too, is hooked.

He watches Anakin's face as Anakin ADMIRES him, because he cannot think of any other word to describe the way Anakin looks at him. Can't find any words at all to describe how that gaze makes him feel. Then, when he sees Anakin's thumb getting close, his brown eyes slide shut. Monochromatic eyelashes brushing against the tender finger.

Ferus' brows knit in confusion at the word. He opens his eyes, watches Anakin try to backtrack, witnesses him try and fail to play it cool, before he seemingly gives up. It rips a chuckle out of Ferus as his own hands settle against Anakin's cheeks with such tenderness. Leaning in, Ferus presses his lips to Anakin's to try and assist him in getting his mouth to stop running faster than his brain can follow. When he pulls back after a minute, Ferus is certain he achieved the opposite: Anakin doesn't look like his brain is working at all. It's adorable, really.

"You have a way with words," he says, his tone only ever so slightly teasing. "I am certain I've never been called that before. Define 'prettyiful' for me."

Siri wouldn't be happy with him if she found out that he was up so late. But what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. Unlike what most people thought, Ferus could do things he wasn't supposed to do, bend and sometimes even break the rules when he deemed it necessary. This was one of those times. As he was sacrificing sleep for the sake of meditation.

It was hard to focus enough to meditate during the day. His room was too small, it made him feel like the walls were closing in on him whenever he tried to meditate there. There were the spots he favored for meditating around the Temple, like the room of a thousand fountains, but those tended to be quite crowded, full of people– many of who insisted on trying to engage him in conversation and, while he was always polite, he couldn't stand it, at all hours, except during the night. Nighttime was his only chance to relax to the sound of the waterfalls and artificial pools, breathe in the smell and fresh air produced by the many plants that those with a green thumb took care of.

Until he heard footsteps echoing through the marble floors.

Ferus felt dread settle in the pit of his stomach. Someone was coming, either someone who'd get him in trouble or someone who'd try to talk to him. Either way, he knew better than to try to hide.

He shifted to face the person.

"Darra," he greeted, sounding a little surprised.

His relief was almost instantaneous. Ferus didn't mind talking to Darra. She and Tru were some of the only people that truly understood how he functioned, and by doing so, understood how to socialize with him in a way that didn't make him feel like it was a chore, a task he had to fulfill before he could move on to what he actually wanted to do.

"What are you doing here? It's late," there was something almost-but-not-quite chiding in his tone, mostly out of habit.

Mostly thinking about how inefficient the ferry system was, and how they could have made it way faster to their destination if they had a ship or a speeder of their own. But that still counted as a good enough excuse to justify his furrowed brow and quiet demeanor.

"Divot?" he asked, curious. "I don't think I have." Then, Ferus arched a brow and actually gave a slight smile. "Explain the game, then we'll see who has to keep quiet about winning."

Ferakin are the two stereotypical kids in highschool that used to have a rivalry worthy of its own anime arc. They're opposites but they also have so much in common. Ferus is quiet and mellow, Anakin is loud and intense, they both enjoy fixing things, are awful at making friends but always willing to help when needed.

I feel like Roan is good for both Ferus and Anakin because he's the down to earth one, the one that didn't get raised in such a sheltered way (sheltered not when it comes to hardships, but to what they could do). He's the one that nudges them towards trying new things and points out that they don't have to choose one thing or the other, that sometimes they can have everything they want and it's okay.

The worst gift he's ever received was also the first gift Ferus ever gave him. Not because it was a bad gift, but because Ferus is AWFUL at being normal about doing things for people and so the month prior to Roan receiving the gift was spent with Ferus considerably distancing himself from Roan (he was securing the perfect gift) and acting weird. The gift was a custom made blaster from a gunsmith whose work Roan loves but didn't want to spend money on just for himself. When Ferus finally gave it to him he started with "We need to talk." and Roan was certain he was getting broken up with– which makes it funny because they lived together and yet, they weren't OfficialTM.
