The day had been progressing as any other before the manifestation of a provocative image burned itself into his mind. Abrupt and without any possible reason for why and how, the pile of logs meant to serve as firewood tumbled in a heavy clatter to the ground at his feet. A lone figure sat in a dark room, scantily clad with glowing eyes feeling as though they were watching him intently while the line of their mouth was upturned to what felt like a knowing smirk.
A tense hand buried itself into the wild locks of his hair, grabbing onto it as he shook his head in a vain attempt to dispel the image. Pieces became clearer as focus was shifted, the blue hues of a plated body were seen save for particular regions covered over in a tight fitting swatch of black material. 'Inviting' was a word lecherously slithering into his mind, causing him to recoil with a hiss sharply exhaling between his fanged ivories.
Why the hell was he thinking-- It didn't ever dawn on him what that blue insectoid looked like stripped down to only the barest essentials of clothing! Trying to dispel the image became a challenge in itself, unable to have the mere luxury of averting his eyes. Left with little to no option, the nearest boulder was targeted to ram his head through.

It's been too long. For her liking. She brought the biggest blanket she knew she had to keep him warmer, draping it over the brute.
It was quiet..
. Silent..
. Nothing but the air to his lungs and the quiet scampering of a smaller body daring to approach.
In the shadows of his home, blurry sight squinting at the harshness of the sunlight outside distorted the shadow that approached. Pupils constricted with the burning of light, his body unmoving as though they were weighed down by stones of monumental size.
It felt as though he had been slumbering for years..
Forgotten and abandoned to the jaws of the stone surrounding him.
Treasures of gold and gems, necessities of food and water, the rest were nothing more than temporary comforts or things he particularly wanted in those moments of setting his eyes upon. Yet all of it felt as though they were set on islands far out of his reach as he lay curled up on the mass of pelts offering a numb sensation of fur and hair against the exposed portions of his flesh. Each breath felt labored as the fog of his head dulled his senses, poisoning his mind to a degenerating haze.
Distortion brought the shadows to form an image he once knew.
Red bows, black hair.. the petite form..
. Mirin.
He could almost hear that voice asking if his head was too heavy again..
' Was something wrong..? '
. ' did he need anything..? '
And perhaps for a moment, his own nose fooled itself to smelling the sweetness of plucked flowers before it was stolen away like the final breath of life. Fresh meadows of emerald burned to ashen decay and the sight of that girl faded to the truth of snowy hair and black ears. Large eyes looked at him in a way he couldn't describe as his own lay in a jumbled confusion and disillusion to what he was seeing.
He didn't know how long he was slumbering or if he even closed his eyes at all. The passage of time went uncounted and he had no strength to get up or deny the blanket being pulled over his imposing form.
His body didn't feel as though it belonged to him, fingers flexing yet the sensation was lost to the static of his nervous system. Any moment he almost expected his father to come in, ordering him to go out and conquer another planet.
Watching his life play out behind the tight enclosure of his own mind, his body was a prison and a slave to the will of another to keep him tempered and docile.
Had he ever slept or was he caught in a state of only sleeping halfways..?
Each breath was a weight to endure as the beating of his heart felt as though it were trying to beat out of his chest. Waking himself up from his own paralysis felt impossible as his body did not respond. Something felt as though it were digging into his side, eating him from the inside and he was powerless to stop invisible teeth from gnawing further.
The frame of the Brute remained stationary, looking as though he simply had no desire to move out of bed and his eyes were glassy as they stared off beyond the sight of that wolf pup bringing the largest blanket she had.
The silence was deafening with only the hushed whispers of wind entering and exiting a larger set of lungs.
