{{I was actually kind of talking about this yesterday and I guess it’s not really a trope, but the idea ‘good guys can’t kill’ I suppose? in most media and on most blogs (im not calling anybody out here it’s something I do so ay), most of the time if a ‘good’ character kills people, it becomes a major arc for them dealing with remorse and their own anxiety over killing people. With Gold that’s not really the case. Gold is probably somewhere around Chaotic good or Chaotic neutral, so objectively, he’s a good guy. That said, he’s TOTALLY okay with the idea of getting his hands dirty if the victims are people objectively evil. Gold destroyed a rocket hideout in a burst of rage, and whilst I don’t talk about it at least one Rocket Grunt died. Easy, maybe not directly but debris falling? getting trapped? There would have been casualties, and whilst he wasn’t actively trying to kill people, if you asked Gold “People died for that do you regret it?” Gold really wouldn’t need to think about it to say ‘No, I don’t’ because he believes they deserved it. Any hesitation wouldn’t come from the fact ‘I don’t like talking about’ so much as ‘you will more than likely think less of me for this’}}

{{kind of? I guess? In the grand scheme of things Gold isn’t overly complicated, he doesn’t have a tragic backstory or gone through insane amounts of hardship, theres a lot what you see is what you get with him. That said, in the grand scheme of things, he’s also a lot maturer than most people. Not ‘Hey don’t do that it’s dangerous’ mature, but in the sense that he’s acutely aware of who he is and where he stands morally. Gold is somebody who is hard to damage emotionally and he’s hard to shake up just in general. Not because he’s a protagonist or anything, but because Gold developed in an environment where he was allowed to be who he wanted to be, and was greatly encouraged to do so. A long time ago I was telling a friend about how in a time of hardship, Gold is a good person to keep around because Gold will be there to make sure you’re okay, because Golds always got a level head, he’s never overthinking things and he’s rarely acting purely on his own emotions, even when he is being impulsive he’s thinking through the actions he’s taking, he won’t breakdown in times of hardship. His strength of character has given him a lot of emotional maturity, and because of that, when there’s a tragedy, he’s somebody you want around because you know he’ll be able to respond to it with a level head and make sure you yourself don’t do something you regret}}

SEMI-SORTOF-HIATUS NOTICE

Okay so i probably should have done this a while ago but woopsie I dont make good decisions. So, as most of you know I’m eighteen situated in the UK and guess what, the college year ends on the 18th of June. This is actually my final year of college so I need to my final piece, which is a pixel animation of Golds team (humanized) in a fighting game format. Neat huh? Yeah I thought so but it just hit me we’re nearly done and I’ve barely started anything, so until the 18th of June, I’ll be afk, if you see me being outright ACTIVE on the dash do not let me on the dash I really shouldn’t be there. Mutuals are free to ask for my discord if they want it, but until then, I’ll be lurking!
