i don’t actually know anything lore wise abt sara genshin impact bc the game clearly isn’t interested in doing her well either but is the fact that she’s like literally a full blooded tengu trying to navigate a mortal human society that is shown to have prejudices/biases abt youkai brought up like ever

AGAIN #[grits teeth like angry old man shaking hand at cloud] hoyoverse….#i think nonhumans trying to cope living in a mortal society not fully made for them is a cool narrative to explore #they vaguely try n do smth similar w ganyu/xiao n the other adepti in liyue #altho thays more to do w moving on from the age of gods n adepti i suppose #but whats up w inazuma like how’s the situation between humans n youkai over there #i get the impression the lines r kinda more blurred in that they’re not Super divided/separated u know #so much stuff w the shrine and the leylines and all that stuff is clearly still closely held like. cultural belief i suppose? idk the #right words #but like from ittos story at least we know onis don’t have a good rep at all #admittedly i haven’t looked at yae miko’s so idk abt her #but like fr. it’d be something interesting to explore #lol im mostly saying this bc i read a fic that was centered around sara that explored this a little and it was super neat #reminded me that i also rlly like the idea of the dynamic between itto n sara being so antagonistic but still ultimately putting up w each #other and valuing each other bc they’re some of the few youkai that r openly so and walking amidst human society u know #feeling of solidarity/companionship between u and the only other person of ur kind or that can relate in some way …. ough #anyways. i’m ok though #gi posting
