"I figure your hangover is long gone, but I wanted to check in." Less for Clare's actual well-being, of course, but Aiden has to admit — the pointless destruction of lighting some trash inside a dumpster aflame had been some of the most fun he'd had in a long while.

Aiden leans up in her doorway, trying for stoic despite his subtle devilish grin peaking out through it. "If you weren't so drunk, I woulda brought you up the fire escapes and to some fun hiding spots." Restricted areas that would warrant a trespass violation if caught, but most places Aiden can get into he can't be followed. Clare, on the other hand…?

Maybe it had been better, because he had to fight for his life to get Aylin out of the botanical gardens the night they hopped the fence.

"On second thought, that would be a piss poor idea on my part."
