he absolutely doesn't need it but sparty does have scary dog privilege....the scary dog being agron

but when agron comes up to sparty and is like yes i am fighting in the final battle, and spartacus grabs his branded arm. you can see just for a split second the pain and grief that spartacus has carried for so. and then he grabs agron’s shoulder and says with his voice almost breaking “i have born witness to the fall of many i have called brother. you are the last let living that stood when batiatus’ ludus was laid to ruin.” agron had been one of the first to stand by spartacus when he hatched his plan to see the ludus fall back when they were still slaves. and while they had their disagreements, spartacus was out of them all the closet to agron. and after losing sura, mira, varro, crixus and too many others, after losing so many parts of himself with their deaths, there’s an unvoiced worry and fear of what if i lose agron too? will i be able to survive it if anything happen? he doesn’t say it, instead he gives his blessing for agron to fight alongside him because he knows the type of man and warrior that agron is. and it’s again like so many times before sparty putting his own grief and fear aside so he can be the leader they all need him to be.

OK LET'S DISCUSS. Agron knew that Crixus was the active threat during that entire exchange. He didn't know what Spartacus would decide regarding Laeta or the captive Romans, but he does know that Crixus will only be satisfied through bloodshed. So even when Sparty looks away from Crixus, AGRON DOES NOT. He watches him the entire time, which is how he knows to plant himself in his path before Crixus can advance on Spartacus.

in reference to this scene: every time i go into my ask I GET ATTACKED. these two hurt me. but also like the way spartacus doesn’t  move either when crxius lunges at him, like he knows agron always has his back and why are they like this
