LOVING YOU IS BLUE & GREY • AMYUNGV
“I think I like Jimin, hyung,” Jungkook had whispered last night, lips rubbing against Taehyung’s neck, arms tightening around his waist, “I like him very much.”
“I love you,” Taehyung thought, pressing down on his lips to not let a single word out, “I am in love with you.”
“Hyung,” Jungkook had buried his face in Taehyung’s chest, “tell me what to do.”
“Love me back,” Taehyung wanted to scream, could feel the words bubbling on his tongue, burning his mouth, “love me as I love you.”

What can I say, I am doin the same rn:(
Studying for tests instead of living our lives is actually learning less. Cause going out and living is where we learn. Instead of going out and coming up with solutions to problems, learning to solve situations and racionalize and making mistakes and fall, we stay home, isolated and locked up, studying. And then we're a dumb generation out there, and we can't make it in real situations.

I want this soo bad🥺
I want my house to have everything art related. Some unfinished paintings and the dirty inked sheet laying on the floor, my little painting corner. A piano in a room, old one filled with memories and the marks of all the fingers that once played it, the songs entoating over and over again as you look at it. A room filled with plushies where you can still hear the laughter inside. A beautiful landscape view in a middle of a forest with some road full of trees and dirt and leaves on the ground where I can go biking. Writing poetry staring at the window and hearing music on my vinyl.

The things you take into your home... and keep there... that underlying feeling of wanting to keep something in your life, so it stays there through memories and time, and you let it in your house (and therefore your life), that is made into a home when you pour life into it. And the soft knowledge that people want to keep books, little notes people may have given then kept in a drawer, pictures on picture frames hanging around on shelves making it be shown everywhere, keeping everything forever. Making libraries in your house, boxes of material memories, keeping that annotated book that shapened your mind, and taking all these things with you to a house, to your home, to keep it in your life forever.

Let's fly to Paris Kim, all the way to the city of love. I wouldn't hesitate to run holding your hand in the busy streets. Life is uncertain and it'll end before we even think it will. Let's fly to Paris Kim, we'll visit museums and imitate art, drop by small bakeries to taste some croissant with fresh berries. Dance a waltz in the vineyards, climb the Eiffel Tower at night and watch those endless city lights contemplating on life. Because we think we have a lot of time, we don't love each other to its fullest extent so let's fly to Paris Kim and live and love like there's no tomorrow.

“You’ll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice” -Suga (2017)
I don’t like BTS because they are the next boy group. I like BTS because they’re not afraid to address social issues that exist in the world today. 방탄소년단 (Bangtan Sonyeondan) means protecting people, mostly the youth, from prejudice and oppression. Here are my top socially-charged BTS songs:
N.O.
criticizes the school structure, mostly of Korea, making the youth only value themselves through grades and trapping them by promising false hope. It encourages the youth to rebel against the broken system as it does not guarantee people success and happiness in their lives.
“Who is the one who made us into studying machines?
They classify us to either
Being number one or dropping out
They trap us in borders, the adults
There’s no choice but to consent
Even if we think simply,
It’s the survival of the fittest
Who do you think is the one who makes us step
On even our close friends to climb up? What?
The grown-ups confess
That we have it so easy
They say that we are happier than our portion
Then how do you explain my unhappiness?
There’s no conversation topics beside studying
Outside, there are so many kids like me,
Living the life of a puppet
Who will take responsibility?”
No More Dream
criticizes young people for not having the willpower to fulfill their own dreams and the older generation for judging the youth for not knowing what they want to do with their lives, thinking that forcing them into a dream will solve the problem.
“Sick of the same day, the repeating days
Grown-ups and my parents
keep instilling confined dreams to me
Number one future career is a government worker?
It’s not a forced dream, a ninth inning relief pitcher
Throw a fast ball at the waste of time that is night study sessions
Rebel against the hellish society,
dreams are a special pardon
Ask yourself about your dream profile
Become the main subject of your life
that has always been suppressed”
Bapsae
criticizes the older generation for comparing the new generation to their time, but ignoring their problems and the context of their struggles that the older generation didn’t have. It also depicts the unjustified growing gap between the upper class and the lower class.
“At my part time job, it’s “all for experience”.
At school, there’s the teachers.
My superiors use violence.
In the media they go on about “the generation that’s given up.”
I’ve got a crow-tit’s legs, and you have a stork’s legs.
They all say their legs are worth a million bucks.
My legs are shorter, so how do you expect me to keep up?
They say it shouldn’t matter since we’re coming from the same place.
Never, never, never.”
*A crow-tit is a type of bird with very short legs and is being compared to the strides made by a stork, which has very long legs*
Can You Turn Off Your Cellphone?
criticizes people obsessing over their phones and investing their self-worth on social media instead of spending time on their actual relationships.
“Could you turn off your cell phone?
Or put it in your pocket?
Everyone says it’s smart
And the times have gotten better but we’re rushing twice as much
Sometimes, I miss the times when people talked face to face
Communication increased but between us is a noisy silence”
21st Century Girls
empowers girls and women to believe they are beautiful and enough, and that their opinions and decisions in life are valid and important.
“You worth it you perfect
Deserve it just work it
You look elegant, elegant also you’re pretty, pretty
You shine, shine. You’re the truth and the reason
Don’t ever be scared
Whatever people say, you’re okay (Alright)
You are strong
You say yes or no yes or no”
Go Go
criticizes consumerism culture, where people would blow off money for a good time and use phrases such as ‘YOLO’ to rationalize their irresponsible behavior.
“Worked hard to get my pay
Gonna spend it all on my stomach
Pinching pennies to spend it all on wasting it
Leave me be, even if I overspend
Even if I break apart my savings tomorrow
Like a crazy guy
Woo there’s no tomorrow
There’s already a mortgage on my future
Woo spending my money even more
Friends, wassup
Do you want some?”
Spine Breaker
criticizes youth who financially abuse their parents, demanding things that they want but not need, and ignoring or dismissing their parents’ hard work and health.
“What’s going on? Are you falling behind on the trend?
You whined and complained to get it, did I strike a nerve?
In the padded jacket, your greed fills it up
Even after seeing your parents’
curved spines, you’re so coldhearted
You complain that all your friends
have it and that they should buy it for you
(Ayo baby) stop being so immature
You won’t freeze just because you don’t have that jacket
Fill your head with good sense before it’s too late”
Am I Wrong
criticizes people who are apathetic to the current social problems that exist in the world today and who are uninterested to try to change the world the better, only selfishly thinking about their own lives.
“The world’s goin’ crazy
How about you how bout ya
You think it is okay
I don’t think it’s that okay
Have ears but don’t listen
Have eyes but don’t see
Fish live in all our hearts
Its name is selfish selfish
If what you see on the news is nothing to you
If that comment is nothing to you
If that hatred is nothing to you
You’re not normal, you’re abnormal”
Not Today
empowers underdogs to pursue what they want to do and encourages them to ignore the people who put them down because of their lack of privilege.
“All the underdogs in the world
A day may come when we lose
But it is not today
Today we fight!
Throw it up! Throw it up!
Throw away the fear in your eyes
Break it up! Break it up!
Break the glass ceiling that traps you
Turn it up! (turn it up!)
Burn it up! (burn it up!)
Till the day of victory (fight!)
Don’t kneel, don’t break down
That’s (do) not today!”
*The term ‘glass ceiling’ is an acknowledged barrier to advancement in a profession, especially affecting women and members of minorities*
Pied Piper
criticizes obsessive “stan culture” and BTS fans in a good way, telling them that devoting too much time over them, or any idol, is unhealthy and should prioritize their personal lives. Calling themselves as the ‘Pied Pipers’ is an expression that following BTS, or any other group, is a double-edged sword.
“Stop
Now stop watching and study for your test
Your parents and director hate me
Video clips, pictures, tweets
V app, Bon Voyage
I know, you can’t help what you like
But stop, interpret the music video later
You have so many pictures of me in your room anyway
It’s not just one hour, it’s a whole year that’ll disappear
So this song is an award I’m giving to you
Good
Follow the sound of the pipe, follow this song
It’s a bit dangerous but I’m so sweet
I’m here to save you, I’m here to ruin you
You called me, see? I’m so sweet
Follow the sound of the pipe”
