Within the Waves
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
Bible stories may not have the sweetest lines as we have seen in those fantasy fairytales we grew reading. There is no any prince charming who will give a true love’s kiss, or any fairy godmother who will let you dance until midnight. The Bible reveals God’s promises -- unending, unwavering, forever-enduring Love. There is no guarantee that you will be problem-free. Your burdens will always be there. But one thing is for sure, God is carrying it for you. Your mind may be clouded at some time, but God’s love is there to comfort your heart.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3
Just as how Jesus parted the Red Sea for Moses, for every trials we encounter, God’s love paved a road for us to walk  with Him. As how David fought Goliath with a stone, God’s love can turn our slight sting of hope to mountains of faith. As how God closed the lion’s mouth for Daniel, God’s love is able to break any chains hindering us to obey Him.
Just how God stayed with Jonas inside the whale, God’s love is far-reaching, that often times we tend to forget Him, He is powerful to place us where He wants us to be. Just how Noah was saved from the flood, God’s love is strongly anchored in us, that despite of the overwhelming storms of life, we can surpass its waves.
My dear youth, Smell how fragrant those flowers. Taste how sweet those chocolates are. Pick the nicest gift you can. We may be swayed by all kinds of love the world can offer, but let us cling to the One who made love itself. He alone is Love. God’s love has always been carved deep in our soul before we truly felt its existence. All kinds of love in the world, but I hope and pray that Jesus will be always our OTP. (One true pair)
He is filling us every morning that we may be able to live out His love. He gives us more than enough, our cup overflows. He loves us when we don’t deserve it. That is how great His love for us. That is how great we are in God’s love.
We turned to him hopefully. We learned to seek him faithfully. We thirst to worship wholeheartedly. Faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is Love.

Loving the Unloved
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
They almost have a perfect relationship. They go to church together. They pray together. They worship together. But why did they still fail? Why do I need a standard if their almost perfect relationship didn’t even work out? It’s useless. There’s no difference of marrying a drunkard, Christians are still people that could break your heart too.
1 John 2:3-6 “If anyone obeys His word, love for God is truly made complete in them.”
Through our Father’s love, we are saved in the deceitful pool of sins. We are saved by grace and redeemed by faith. By God’s love we are moved to the light from the darkness.
Remember John 3:16, the Love that brought us into this world is the same Love that conquered death. And it is the same Love that will follow all the days of our life.
God has someone prepared for you. He may already sent it. We cannot tell. That person may be is with you right now or not. The future is not guaranteed for the both of you. It may build or break you, it may encourage or elicit you, it may push or pressure you. But regardless how much they affect you, it won’t lessen your love to the One who made your heart. A Failure to Fulfill: You know God has come in between you when everything else fades yet you learn to grew surrendering your love for the Lord. You know God is conquering your life when everything you worked hard became a burden for you to carry yet you wake up every single day comforted that God will turn your tribulations to triumph eventually.
“Because of God’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Over-Handing the Cup
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
Now, you have accepted God’s love. Through that Love, you knew you have what it takes to love others too. You started to learn your ways in expressing your feelings to others. You have acknowledged God’s goodness. Colossians 3:14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
You have set your standards. You have set your goals. You have cleared the blur line between sincerity and faulty actions.
Yet this is your third… fourth… no, your fifth failed relationship. You tried to question yourself again. Am I not enough? I have given everything I could. I have tried many ways I should. But here I am alone, staring at the ceiling with my eyes half-closed. Did God stop pouring his love on me?
No. God’s love is never-ceasing. He is faithful, ever-present working in our life.
It’s you. You looked at yourself alone. You felt empty. You felt nothing can satisfy your needs. You will begin to run in circles again because you are looking after yourself. You looked yourself as you, not you with God. You questioned your capability to love. Yes, you manifested His goodness, you have received his love, but you did not rely on Him - on his love. You received a present, but you chose not to open it.
It’s okay to set your standards. It’s okay to set a goal. It’s okay to break that line. What is not okay is putting yourself in the center, instead of God.
If you depend on yourself too much, you are not living the love God has gave you. Remember, if you have failed relationships, it doesn’t mean that God is against you. In fact, you must be thankful because He is working in your life. He is setting you apart. Memories, good or bad, are the beauty of how God reveals His blessings. Magnify it.
Psalm 103:11; “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him.”
When we put God in the center of our life, we are filled, we are secured, we are strong-firmed. If He is on top of everything we do, literally everything will follow like a river flows. All we have to is dwell in His palm. We are confident when we knew He is with us and we are in Him. We do not need to worry about tomorrow because we are assured He knows what is ahead and best for us. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

Laden Living
“We love because He love us first.” 1 John 4:19
Love is fluttering your eyes when the sunshine hits your bare skin. Love is moving away your hand when it felt the hot cup of coffee. Love is turning the knob when you hear someone’s knocking. It’s taking a step when you have to, when you can, when you need to. Love is an impulse. An automatic action. In an inevitable flash, there you are… snap…. you’re inlove… Wow magic! At that moment, God knows we have that capability to love.
But how about you? How well do you know yourself? What do you plan to do with that love of yours deep inside you? I’m fine now with my life. I don’t need dramas anymore. I am done with that love experiences. They say, it’s better to love and lost than never to have love at all. I don’t need to waste energy. Some people choose this kind of love. It’s because they are anxious, they have doubts, they are not secured, they fear to be hurt again. That is what human love teaches us. It elaborates the feeling of pain. When we choose to dwell in this kind of love, we are bound to settle in an imperfect love.
You cannot live the love within when there is nothing inside you. Time will come you will ran out and feel dry. You will start begging and will desperately find love from anything or anyone. Keep in mind that those fleeting moments will only just serve tangible memories. You thought it’s filling you while in reality it’s swallowing you.
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” 1 Corinthians 13:11
When we let God take over us, He is nurturing us through His roots of love. He is molding and purifying our hearts. All we need to do is cast our cares upon Him. For He will give us a beautiful rest where we grow, learn and move forward.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fear is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
The Bible taught us: Love one another. Love your neighbor. Love your enemies.
So — Choose to live the love within. Learn to share your love to others. Let others flourish the love within you. We need to let go of our selfish love in order to embrace God’s love. When we are under God’s care, surely we will bloom beautifully.
LOVE formula =  Commitment, time, effort, patience, understanding, obedience, honor, respect, sacrifice
If you are able to love one another, is it hard for you to proclaim your love to God? Are you confident to say that you love God? Then, What is love again?
What can your love do for God? What can your heart can offer him?
Desire. When we have that heartfelt desire to be use by Him, God knows how are potentials can be molded in a way we could never imagine. That’s what His love for you can do.
But do we yearn for that desire? What if I my strengths aren’t enough? What if I will just humiliate myself? What if people won’t appreciate it?
Why? Do we worship for these people? Do we do this to lift ourselves? If we have any reason that we are trying hard to bring out the best of us, that would only be lifting the victorious glory our Almighty Lord deserves. It may be only an ounce of act, but if you do it wholeheartedly, it puts a smile on God’s face. When we thought we had enough reasons and excuses, we cannot compare our human relationship to God. Why?
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Truth is, we, imperfect humans, tends to fail in doing all of these. Our love may fails, but God’s love does not. 
1 John 4:16 “God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God… and God in Him.”
Sometimes, we try to give the love people ask for. We work hard to give we think what they deserve. But the truth is, we cannot match our ability to love with God’s. Ours will tend to break, it can be easily shaken because we are not perfect all the time. Yet out from His love, He has blessed us His grace by making us in the likeness of Him. When God’s image is reflected in our lives, we are living out the love he has poured out in us.

Laden Living
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
We respect each other’s perspective of love and of loving. But what we do not know that how much effort we apply from our learnings when the love flowing within us doesn’t came from the One who first loved us… everything means nothing. I already expressed my love, how can I still be useless?
“If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3
1. Why do we ask advices from our family? Why do we talk with our friends when things doesn’t seem right? Why do we seek our elder’s guidance, or our pastor’s reminder?
Simply because we are confused, troubled, and/or doubtful. We knew in ourselves our wisdom alone isn’t enough to help us choose. When we chose to listen to other people’s words, we are letting go a piece of humbleness in our life. It means we knew we needed to hear their opinions in order for us to decide wisely.
Yet often times, when we ask and give advices, we only want to hear what comforts us, what can relieve us, what can make us happy and suited. Not everything that make you happy is right. Learn to have a teachable heart. A heart open for correction is full of God’s love. If you failed to do so, you are living your life inside a resounding gong making clanging noises of cymbals.
2. You are determined to finish that medical course, get a degree, to earn a 6-digit account balance, to travel the world. What’s the point of aiming these things? You have a goal. Is God included in that goal of yours?
No matter how much you have gained, we knew that all these things will pass soon. We could only appreciate the momentous season of the things we are having when we let God take control. In everything that you do, sprinkle some love and pour out God’s purpose. Walk with the Lord. Live a life align to God’s will and plan. He got everything you needed before you even asked or dreamed for it. You do not need to move mountains, His love will poke these mountains for you.
3. You are the most smartest, most friendly, most talented student in the room. Everyone looked up to you. Your classmates and teachers appraise you. But at the end of the day, no one wants to sit beside you. They feel pressure just by being beside you. God does appreciate our efforts. He rewards us. He does because he knows what’s inside of our heart. He knows our intentions, our hidden motives, our silent agendas.
Remember, God rewards you with these abilities because He wants to use you. He wants you to be His instrument of glory. What you are and what you have right now is because of God’s Love. Boast in His strength, in His wisdom, in His power… not in your self.

Living Out The Love Within
What is LOVE?
What is it to LOVE and be LOVED?
We have our own words to define and illustrate love. The world hasn’t ran out of words to describe love. Each of us has a complex meaning of love. The image of love people ought to know is the reflection of their experience. It’s the echo of their deeds bouncing back that turned into realizations and made them define love on their own. If we can define love, why do we still need to study what the Bible says about love?
Text: “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.” 1 John 4:12
As His sons and daughters, it is important that we know how to identify our Father’s love.
Like a woman getting pregnant, even before her baby comes out, she is passionate in taking care of herself and the life she is carrying. This is how she shows her love. If she wants to have a baby girl, yet a baby boy comes out, it doesn’t matter anyway. Regardless of the gender or how the baby grows up, she knows it is her child and that she is willing to give the best for the baby… the love he/she deserves. That is how God’s love works in us too. He knows us by name. We are his children. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.
If God truly loves us, why do we still need to make an effort for Him? Well, let's place it like this: If you are dying to be with that person OR if you are determined enough to reach that goal and dreams you love the most.. Then why not seek the immeasurable, unfathomable, incomparable love of God?
A golden plate it is that God is offering you.
1 Corinthians 2:9 “No eyes has seen, no ear has hear, no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
