On Keiji Shinogi and why I enjoy him so much, or more simply put: I’m tired of people not giving him the nuance he deserves.

Alright, I said I was going to write it, so here we go. This is going to be really long, so strap in.

(FAIR WARNING AHEAD, I’M SPOILING ALL OF KEIJI’S STORY AND A LOT OF THE GAME IN THIS POST.)

Right off the bat, this post is not me going on to try and excuse Keiji of his mistakes and bad actions, nor to try and get rid of his flaws. On the contrary, this is going to be a look at him overall, flaws, bad choices and all, and to expand upon why those things, along with the rest of him makes him my favorite character of the whole yttd cast.

also wanted to ask if it’s okay; what program do you use for art + how in the WORLD do you make your art look like renaissance paintings or just painting like THAT BC ITS STUNNING?????

Oh my goodness gracious,,,, you are so kind! I use autodesk sketchbook, and as for making them look like old paintings, I think warm colors play a part in that! I tend to use very intense, warm palettes, which may somewhat mimic how some paintings look when their varnish has gone yellow. I usually line the piece, color it, cell shade it, add a top overlay of the dominant colors I want if I feel that the originals aren’t quite good enough, and then paint over it all on a new layer above all of that. A sharp(ish) rough brush on low opacity is my go-to. Again, thank you so very much 🫶 this ask will haunt me /pos
