you’re so pretty!!! also I didn’t realize other people wore back braces for their scoliosis!! I used to cry everyday when I put it on and I remember having to buy specific clothes that fit the back brace

happy disabled pride month and selfie night. i’m natalie, and i have scoliosis and neurofibromatosis, which are kind of related. a lot of neurofibromatosis paitents also have scoliosis. when i was younger, i had to wear a brace every night in order to help with my scoliosis. it was hard, but i’m thankful that it helped. i also have adhd, anxiety, depression, and asthma. i just want everyone to know that my dms are open if you need anything. i know things can get hard sometimes, and i’m here for all of you. you are strong and amazing. happy disabled selfie night ❤️

hi everyone,

as some of you may know, i have had a gofundme link up on my twitter since feb 2019. it was posted to help my family – my mom, my grandmother, and myself – through unemployment and the multiple bills that have stacked up ever since then. i haven’t promoted it for months since i don’t like asking for help, but we are experiencing similar struggles once again. 

though this pandemic is running rampant, my grandma is still out working. she is considered ‘essential’, since she is a home-health aide. she is the strongest, most hard-working person i know but despite this, her job is not paying our bills and neither are mine. i am only getting paid 3 hours/week in one of my jobs, and i am currently not sure whether my second job is intact or not. on top of this, we are both immunocompromised – with her struggling with lung and heart issues and myself dealing with kidney issues. right now, leaving the house is nothing short of scary for us. with our physical health and financial situation on the line, it’s been detrimental to our mental health - our anxiety heightened unimaginably. given all this, i’m going to link my paypal, venmo (@aleigh1975), and gofundme. typing this all out doesn’t feel comfortable to me in any sense, but i don’t take for granted any love or support shown my way by any means. i know that the situation we are in affects every last one of us in harsh yet similar ways, so if you can’t donate please don’t fret – a share helps just as much. i also just wanted to shout out @taylorswift because despite the situation i’m in, she’s always the reason why i have light in times of darkness💖
