This is the latest Sketch-a-Wish voted by my lovely Patreon members for March! Featuring Jacks head-bonking gently encouraging Evangeline, hoping she'll remember *something*. One of my favorite scenes from A Curse For True Love! I would like to understand how donatella didn’t die from Jacks kiss (not in lengedandy or finale) because since Evangeline was jacks true love and should be the one making his heart beats for the first time, tella shouldnt have died ? Another thing, why jacks heart bet for tella even though she wasn’t his true love as Eva really is. I’m so confused 😭

It seemed like fate that Donatella was going to fall in love with Legend. Although she wasn't interested in the Caraval games, she was interested in mysticism of Fates.

At the end of Legendary, Donatella made Jacks start to beat because, she was never destined for him. She was never going to fall in love with him. All the other girls that Jacks had met had loved him and he must have had, too, which is why none of them lived and none of them were his true love.

Aurora twisted what that "true love" meant. It meant it would be the one person who would never reciprocate their feelings.

That is why Tella survived and made Jacks's heart beat again. It is another chance to mock him, another method to hurt him. 💔

I've seen many people ay they dont like ACFTL and it's ending and the Apollo chapters I hate Apollo, esp after the ending of TBONA, but because the plot didn't need him to be present, in order for that ending to work, we needed his perspective chapters to really see that selfishness. I think it was a great ending and while I hated reading Apollo's pov, I realized how much we actually need them after I read the ending

What are your thoughts? (Also Jacks became a book boyfriend for me in TBONA)

After a few months, I have to say that there were certain elements I wished she had went with, gone without, and expanded on. I was on board with the inclusion of Apollo's POV because it made sense to me (he knew what happened to Evangeline).

I think his selfishness really shone in those chapters, which was helpful to understand that Apollo would also go through lengths for "love."

The ending, I think we expected so much and I thought it would work out differently, but I think it's pretty cute and sweet to have Evangeline confess and kiss Jacks. That "show" was really satisfying.

Do I wish it was longer? Yes haha. I needed that big theatrical moment for them and extra emotional details.

How is Lala still immortal? Didn't she love Dane? Did I miss something? Shouldn't she became mortal if she feels love?

By the end of ACFTL, LaLa is still a Fate because she and Dane are incompatible. Because of this, she no longer has feelings for him.

It's only natural since they have spent years and years without each other, and LaLa has grown into a different person with different likes, dislikes, and beliefs.

Hi! I was thinking, why did Chaos help Jacks with the stones? I mean, Chaos know what was Jacks's plan (go back in time), but if he would have done that, than all of Chaos's work for opening the arch and free himself would have been ... useless? He should have done that all again, and alone because Jacks wouldn't have been there. Did I miss something?

Well, even if Jacks did go back, the opening of the arch was always going to happen. Chaos's plan would not have changed, not even if Jacks decided that they would delay that.

Hi:) The idea to make Jacks part of Evangeline’s story came later to SG‘s mind from what I remember. Which totally means that if she had planned that from the beginning, she wouldn’t have made him interact with Tella at all, or very rare (because it has never been a thing) It’s clear because she suddenly changed that „kiss don’t kill true love“ twist. It happens with authors that when they get new ideas and develope while writing, they change certain things. But since she already included him in caraval she somehow had to refer to it. Which makes Evajacks even more beautiful 💘🦊🍎

I do remember Stephanie saying that she had always wanted to do a story based on the stone girl in Finale. How Jacks was going to fit in that story came later, as you say.

I totally agree with you about Stephanie doing some changes to the plot because of what was written in the latter two books of the Caraval trilogy. There are some details that are still fuzzy, however, but I'm okay with that!

Stephanie has annotated the Ending of the book, which will give us additional information about what could be going on in the characters' minds, especially Jacks who is central in the scene.

I can't wait to find out more since this scene shocked me to my core when I read it. I knew it was coming but I didn't know how it was going to play out.

We can assume that LaLa and Chaos might have a relationship soon. If or when Stephanie decides to write their book, we would probably see more of them!
