Ava being the killer makes no sense
So a lot of people are jumping to conclusions after the recent KHUX update and I just wanted to throw my two cents in.  Ava being the killer makes no sense whatsoever to me.
It’s like Brain said; if Ava had wanted to replace Strelitzia with Ven, she could have just given the book to Ven instead of Strelitzia in the first place. Why would she go through the trouble of giving Strelitzia the book, only to then have to kill her later and then take her book and give it to Ven? I just can’t think of any reason for her to do that.
Then I saw some other people theorizing that maybe Ava originally gave Strelitzia the book because she wanted to go with her Master’s plan, but then she later changed her mind. This is a fair point, but I still don’t think it makes sense.
Ok, let’s say that after her confrontation with Luxu, Ava became disillusioned and decided to start defying her Master. In that case, why would she kill Strelitzia and not Brain? Ava knows that she gave Brain a list of the intended Union Leaders. This list she gave to Brain is the whole reason he and the others even ever realized that Ven was a plant. Otherwise they honestly probably would have never realized that Ven wasn’t supposed to be one of the leaders. And Ava knows all this. So if she did go rogue, I just don’t understand why she would target Strelitzia, but let Brain live. Ava knows that Brain would just immediately be able to identify whoever her replacement leader was as soon as he looked at the list.
And of course, all this begs the question of why Ava even gave Brain the list in the first place. It’s like she knew, or at least suspected, that something would happen to one of the union leaders, and gave Brain the list so he would be able to identify any impostors. In which case her being the killer really makes no sense. Why would she give Brain a way to identify impostors if she herself wanted to plant an impostor?
So basically TL;DR: If Ava intended to replace Strelitzia from the start, her giving Strel a book in the first place and giving Brain a list of the leaders makes no sense. If she went rogue after already giving Strel the book, it still makes no sense that she wouldn’t take out Brain when she knows he has the list and can just immediately identify any impostors.
I think Brain is probably correct when he theorized that Darkness took on Ava’s form. It would make perfect sense for him/her/it to do so, if he/she/it wants Ven to be able to fit in with the other Union Leaders and not arouse any suspicions. Ven being able to truthfully (from his point of view) share the same story about receiving a book from Ava helped him fit in perfectly with the other union leaders.

Is Luxord trustworthy?
I can’t help but wonder, is that card Luxord gave Sora really safe to use? Gula said that the Lost Page spoke of “an inevitable betrayal from the one who bears the sigil”, right? Well Luxord is number 10 in the Organization which is of course the X in roman numerals.
So, should we really be trusting Luxord? I mean, we know virtually nothing about the guy. We know he likes games and gambling, that’s about it.
And if we learned anything from Pinocchio, it’s that strangers who give you cards, promising good things, don’t necessarily always have good intentions, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And you know, all Luxord said about the card was that it “could turn the tables”. But.. in which direction?

Who was the Light in the Darkness? Kairi or Riku?
So I was reading the Sleeping Realm Theory:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/11d1TKd4ZKZd41pJKQ77bKz4YxJx8_Mojz2KMpNvTrvU/preview#heading=h.uyr2is6bjls8
And while they make a lot of interesting points and make connections I never noticed, they do seem to have one huge problem: they seem pretty hellbent on pushing SoRiku, to the point that they make conclusions that are refuted by their own evidence.
They were right about one thing: Kairi was NOT the light in the darkness.
As they themselves pointed out, when Sora and Kairi are travelling back to the Keyblade Graveyard, it doesn’t really make much sense for Kairi to be following her own light back:
Tumblr media
But does that mean we should jump to the conclusion that Riku was actually the light?
Not necessarily.
Again, as they themselves point out, you can make out that towards the end, Sora is reaching for someone on the left:
Tumblr media
In other words, away from Kairi who is on his right. Yet they then, for some reason, insist that this light was coming from Riku...
Tumblr media
...despite the fact that Riku is also clearly standing to Sora’s right.
So to answer the question of whether it was Kairi or Riku who was the light in the darkness... the answer is neither.
So then, who was?
Well, of the people standing to Sora’s left, would you say there’s one who could very appropriately be described as a light in the darkness? A certain Keyblade Master and Guardian of Light who was literally in the darkness for over a decade?
Tumblr media
Yup, that’s right. The light in the darkness wasn’t Kairi. It wasn’t Riku.
It was Aqua.
In fact if you go back and watch the Dream Drop Distance secret ending, it literally spells it out for us that Aqua is the light in the darkness:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7SqG5iH0_0
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah, the fact that they can specifically point out that the light was coming from the left, then insist it’s coming from a guy on the right, really kind of shows how blinded they are by their SoRiku agenda. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t really care about SoKai at all and who doesn’t give a shit who Sora ends up with.

Is Strelitzia going to be a villain?
It’s kind of funny, when I saw that Marluxia was going to be in the Tangled world in the KH3 trailers, I automatically assumed it was because they were going to draw parallels between Marluxia and Gothel and between Strelitzia and Rapunzel.
But now I’m starting to suspect otherwise.
It started when I noticed this parallel between Subject X and Ardyn from FFXV:
Tumblr media
Subject X’s first report starts with the line “Am I alive?” and then she talks about awaking alone in a cell. And coincidentally, Ardyn says the exact same line when he awakes alone in his cell in Angelgard at the end of Episode Ardyn:
Tumblr media
Which got me thinking: there’s actually a few similarities between Strelitzia and Ardyn’s backstories, isn’t there? They were both chosen for a position of leadership (Ardyn as King, Strelitzia as Union Leader), both had said position stolen from them, both of them have a brother who was also chosen for the same station (Somnus and Lauriam). Hell, Norted Marluxia even sort of looks like corrupted Ardyn.
(Note that I’m not necessarily saying I think Subject X is Strelitzia. Just that I find the Ardyn parallel interesting.)
And then there’s the Angelic Amber boss in the Toy Story world. I find it interesting that her color scheme is sort of the opposite of Strelitzia’s. She has blue hair while Strelitzia has orange hair, her dress is mostly black with a bit of white while Strelitzia’s dress is mostly white with a bit of black. But when she gets defeated and her eyes go back to their normal color, they’re the same color as Strelitzia’s...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Almost like she was a corrupted Strelitzia or something...
And then there was this line from Rapunzel in the Tangled world:
Tumblr media
She looks directly into the camera and winks when she says this.
“I know to /be careful around **flowers**/ now.” *NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK*
And now back to Gothel... her whole thing is that she’s a woman who should be dead by all rights but has managed to keep herself alive. Hmm, I wonder who else might have motivation to want to keep themselves alive despite being dead...
Strelitzia is totally going to be a villain. Calling it now.

Namine and the Nameless Star
I’ve been thinking about the Nameless Star a bit. Most people seem to think she’s Strelitzia, but I really don’t think so. The stuff she says doesn’t really match up imo. For example, she says that the reason her heart was taken away was because it “pines for another”.
Tumblr media
Which doesn’t really match up with what happened to Strelitzia. Sure, you could say that she was “pining” for |Player|, but that wasn’t really what lead to her demise. She was killed because Brain wanted to take her position as Union Leader, |Player| didn’t really have anything to do with it.
I think the Nameless Star is connected to Namine. I don’t think it was just a coincidence that the Nameless Star and Namine were both in the Final World together. There was the reason they were the only two stars with spoken dialog. When I listen to the way the NS talks, it really reminds me of Namine. They’re both soft spoken and gentle-toned, the way the NS giggled even reminds me of Namine’s giggle. And then even a lot of the phrases they use or that are spoken to them are similar:
1.
Sora and NS in KH3:
Tumblr media
Sora and Namine in CoM:
Tumblr media
2.
NS about her unnamed friend in KH3:
Tumblr media
Namine about Sora in KH2:
Tumblr media
3.
NS to Sora in KH3:
Tumblr media
Namine to Sora in KH3:
Tumblr media
Namine’s origins have always been a bit of a mystery. Even Ansem the Wise was baffled by her existence. Kairi, being a PoH, shouldn’t have really been able to produce a Nobody.  We’ve also never really found out why Namine has blonde hair. We know Roxas got his gold-blonde hair from Ven, but what about her? Where did her platinum-blonde hair come from? There’s also this mysterious file of Vexen’s that Axel found in Days, whose contents still haven’t been revealed:
Tumblr media
So I think we’ve had more than enough hints that, rather like how Roxas is part Sora, part Ven, Namine is also not 100% Kairi. Which leads me to suspect that the Nameless Star is in fact the person that Namine got her blonde hair from. So we can rule out Strelitzia and Skuld. And, although we don’t know her hair color, I think we can also rule out Invi, since she appeared in the epilogue. That leaves us with only two possibilities as to her identity:
1. Ava
2. A completely new character
Evidence for NS being Ava:
As others have pointed out, there’s a few similarities between Ava and Namine. They both have a habit of clasping their hands, they both have the power to change their appearance (Namine taking the form of Kairi in CoM, Ava taking the form of another foreteller in KHX), and they both seem to have memory manipulation powers, as I believe Ava was the one who erased the Dandelions’ memories. There’s also the matter of Namine’s almost total exclusion from KH3. She didn’t appear in any of the trailers. She didn’t appear in the opening sequence. She only had a single, optional cutscene where she actually speaks. She doesn’t even appear properly until the end of the game.
Tumblr media
It made me wonder, is this bit of dialog between Xigbar/Luxu and Gula a hint that Ava is the reason that Namine was excluded from KH3?
One final idea I had; NS claims that her name and “everything about her” was taken away. If we assume that Ava is also Subject X, then that would certainly explain why Saix and Axel were never able to find a single trace of her, even after 10+ years.
Evidence for NS NOT being Ava/ being a new character:
Tumblr media
NS says they took away her name, yet Xigbar/Luxu was able to say Ava’s name at the end. Although to be fair, we don’t really know how this whole “name taking” works, so if Xigbar took away Ava’s name, it might stand to reason that he’d be the only one who could still say it. I couldn’t help but notice that none of the foretellers actually try to say her name out loud... Gula simply refers to Ava as “her”.

I actually don’t think it was a plot hole at all, I think they’re deliberately trying to draw attention to the fact that there’s something weird going on with Lea. This isn’t the only oddity that’s sprung up concerning him.
Remember in the scene where Mickey and Riku are talking to Ienzo, and he mentions how he and Even can no longer open dark corridors now that they’re human... only moments after mentioning how Lea left in KH3D? Really seems to me like they’re trying to make us think about this stuff and ask questions.
If Ienzo and Even can’t open dark corridors, why was Lea able to open one in KH3D? If Riku had to get a new keyblade after his broke, why was Lea able to summon his completely whole again? There’s something weird going on with him.

“[Axel] happily lets Roxas fade away”
Uuuuuhhhhh... did you play a completely different KH2 from me? Because that’s literally the exact opposite of what happened. Axel spends the whole KH2 intro trying to get Roxas to remember who he is and come back to the Organization with him. The only reason he failed was because of DiZ’s interventions.
And by the time Axel and Roxas had their final fight, Roxas had already regained his memories at that point, so Roxas’s fate was sort of out of Axel’s hands by then. Dual wielding Roxas with all his memories was too strong for Axel to defeat.
Can we get something clear?
I see so many people loving Axel and Riku, and I’m fine with that… But they did Roxas dirty. First was Riku, who kidnapped Roxas against his will, despite the fact that he and Roxas could have taken on most of the organization with the help of Mickey, but he sided with that awful being known as DiZ. And no, I don’t forgive him, I NEVER will, nor should anyone. Then Axel, Roxas’s supposed ‘best friend’. He knows Roxas got a memory wipe, and is living a lie, but he happily lets Roxas fade away when he could be saved. Sora would go on to later lament that he wanted to meet Roxas, well he could have if Riku wasn’t a buffoon and aligned with someone as morally dubious as DiZ. And while people are being burned at the stake, screw you Nomura! Do you have any idea how many times I cried?! You heart wrenching sociopath!

Theory: Xaldin or Axel’s Broken Heart
So I’ve been thinking about the Re:Coded secret ending. Specifically this moment:
Tumblr media
Xigbar asks “Which poor soul will it be?” and extends his arms out, then the scene cuts off as young Xehanort is about to say someone’s name. At the time, a lot of people assumed he was about to say “Saix” because it sounded like an “S” sound. But I was wondering, if Xehanort was really just going to say “Saix”, why make it a big secret? I mean we already pretty much knew he was a Nort, it’s not like that’s big news. But look at the placement of Xigbar’s hands. Which two characters are his hands resting on? Axel/Lea and Xaldin/Dilan. I don’t think that was just a coincidence.
So I was thinking, why those two, though? What do Axel/Lea and Xaldin/Dilan have in common? Well going back through Days, they both pretty clearly have a negative attitude towards love. Xaldin’s is bitter and cynical while Axel’s is wistful and defeatist. I’ll talk about Xaldin first.
Ever since he was first introduced in KH2, Xaldin has been skulking around Beast’s Castle. IIRC Beast’s Castle is pretty much the only world you even see him in throughout Days. Then there’s the scene where Roxas learns about love for the first time. Xaldin goes on this bitter tirade about how love is a delusion and never lasts, blah blah:
Tumblr media
It almosts sounds like he could be speaking from personal experience. Perhaps he’s had a failed relationship, or even multiple failed relationships?
Next, Axel. After learning about love from Xaldin, Roxas goes to ask Axel about it, saying that Xaldin told him love was a power, and Axel makes this comment:
Tumblr media
Kind of interesting that he specifically says that *he* won’t get to experience it, specifically. Not both him and Roxas, and not nobodies in general, he himself. And during the infamous scene about “pushing the wrong buttons”, he tells Roxas to give Xion time, because:
Tumblr media
Again, that almost sounds like he’s alluding to a personal experience. It seems like he might have also had a relationship with a girl that went sour.
So, Axel and Xaldin have possibly both had their hearts broken by a woman(or women?). Why is that relevant? Well, it all ties into the Master of Master’s mysterious black box. Nomura said the black box is related to Davey Jones’s chest. For those of you who haven’t watched the POTC movies, Davey Jones removes his heart and puts it in a chest to cope with the pain of his lover Calypso’s betrayal. So, my theory is, the MoM sort of did the same thing, and in order to open the box they might need a special key. And that key would be the heart of another man who’s had his heart broken by a woman.
When I listened to the end of the cutscene again with my good headphones on, it really did sound like Xehanort might have been about to say “Xaldin”. The sort of softer “z” sound at the beginning of Xaldin’s name can be easily mistaken for an “s” sound. So, I believe Xehanort was either about to say “Xaldin”, or Lea isn’t Lea’s real name, and he was about to say Lea’s real name.
TL;DR: Xigbar and Xehanort may need the heart of a man who’s had his heart broken in order to open the black box, and that man may be either Axel or Xaldin.

Demyx’s reaction is the most interesting to me.
The other three’s reactions are pretty easy to decipher. Luxord looks confused as hell, like he’s thinking “Keyblade legacy? Wtf is he talking about?”. Larxene looks surprised and dismayed like: “Oh crap, he knows?”. Marluxia just looks pissed and wary like: “So he DOES know...”
Demyx’s reaction on the other hand is hard for me to place 100%. He looks surprised, but what kind of surprise? I’m not totally sure if it’s confused surprise like he has no idea what Xemnas is talking about, or if it’s dismayed surprise like he’s shocked that Xemnas knows his secret.

Something I find interesting about this scene is the exclusion of Axel/Lea and Namine. Aqua, Ven, Terra, and Xion are there even though Sora doesn’t remember them and/or has never met them at this point. I guess Axel not being there makes sense but why not Namine? I kind of wonder if this is foreshadowing something.
