The pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea) is a small species of monkey native to rainforests of the western Amazon Basin. The species is notable for being the smallest monkey and one of the smallest primates in the world with a body length of 5 to 6 inches and weighing only 3 to 5 ounces.
They live in groups of up to 9 members and eat tree gum, insects, nectar and fruit. Females often give birth to twins, which are cared for by both the parents and other group members.

I have nightmares about having fish out of water and no containers to put them in and scrambling for something, ANYTHING that will hold water -- A tape dispenser? A candlestick? I guess so because that’s all I’ve got. Ridiculous.
my stress dreams are always having an entire living room filled with overstocked aquariums and doing manual water changes. So many buckets. so many many buckets. in reality i have one understocked 10 gallon. most of my life i have had only 1 tank.
This!!! Is so true. It seems pet owners share similar themes to stress dreams.
Mostly it’s about your animals being in danger and you’re helpless or scrambling to try and save them. Stuff like���
Leaking tanks
Bettas jumped into each other’s tanks
Fish jumped OUT of the tank
Tank has broken and the fish are on the floor
Animals forgotten about
Animals starving or dehydrated
Etc.
Dreams suck sometimes!!!!

The NDP will be the first Canadian federal party to unveil an election platform that promises to drastically expand Canada’s health care system to include, not just pharmacare, but mental, dental, eye and hearing coverage for all citizens.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh unveiled the platform in Hamilton on Sunday. CBC was given an early look at the platform.
The party promises to reform Canada’s health-care system to fund a whole new suite of services, just as the Liberals are looking at creating a national drug plan. On Wednesday, a Liberal government-appointed advisory council called for a $15-billion single-payer pharmacare plan and the federal health minister says Ottawa is considering next steps.
The NDP plan, titled “New Deal for Canada,” will be launched at a campaign-style rally Sunday at the Hamilton Convention Centre during the Ontario NDP’s weekend-long convention.

Rock hyraxes via the San Diego Zoo
Hyraxes, which are often mistaken for rodents, are most closely related to elephants. All hyraxes live throughout most of Africa, but rock hyraxes are also found along the coast of the Arabian Peninsula up to Lebanon.
Hyrax feet are built for rock climbing: the bottom of each foot is bare and has a moist, rubbery pad that lifts up in the center for a suction-cup effect to help the hyrax cling to rocks and other smooth surfaces without slipping.
Hyraxes feed on grasses, herbage, leaves, fruit, insects, lizards, and bird eggs. Although diurnal, they may venture out on moonlit nights. They spend most of the time, however, doing nothing; only about five percent of their time is spent in active pursuits.

Damn, aquarium goals.
Fish rack is finally set up and all the tanks are at least partially scaped and planted. I’m really looking forward to seeing how things grow out and trying to be patient with the BBA issue in the middle tank. I’m hoping once the new crypts settle in and start sending out new growth the BBA will die back…No one needs patience more than an aquascaper!!!

Holy crap this is amazing! Well, heartwrenching for the poor oscar. His story is horrible and honestly all too common. But cruelty charges against an individual for neglect of a fish is practically unheard of in the US. If they stick it hopefully sets a precedent for the inclusion and enforcement of fish in other state and federal welfare laws where they are currently unprotected.

Started a second cycle of Rapid-Cure yesterday with Willy. He seems much more active the last couple of days but I can’t tell how much of that is due to the temp increase (86F)
Just now I noticed some dead tissue on the edge of his anal fin, and the surrounding area is quite red. Hopefully this is a coincidence and not an indication that the medication is too hard on him.
Undecided whether I’ll complete the full cycle on this round or not. Hopefully going to Big Al’s tomorrow and picking up some General Cure in case his symptoms return.
