Dispatcher: 911, what’s your emergency?
Versace’s chef: Yes. It’s an emergency at 1116 Ocean Drive.
D: 1116 Ocean?
V: Yes. A man has been shot. Please, immediately, please.
D: Okay, hold on– How did he get shot, sir?
V: I don’t know. He was walking in front of his home. It’s Gianni Versace. He was entering his house. We just heard a gunshot and ran outside. He’s on the steps of the house.
D: Okay. What’s your name, sir?
V: Charles Podesta. P-O-D-E-S-T-A. Please, immediately, please. Get us an emergency–
D: Hold on hold on Charles, hold on– Which phone number are you calling from?
V: 5366588.
D: 6588? Okay. Don’t hang up. I’m gonna start with the rescue and the police. I want you to stay on the line ‘cause I need to ask you some questions, okay? So we can help him, okay? Is he still conscious and breathing?
V: I don’t know. I’m inside the house.
D: Okay. Stay on the line ‘cause I’m gonna need you to go out and check for me, okay?
V: Yes.
D: 1116 Ocean. It’s a shooting.
Policewoman: I’m gonna get a visual, okay?
D: Okay. What did you say the gentleman’s name was, sir?
V: Gianni Versace. V-E-R-S-A-C-E.
D: Okay. And did you say you heard the gunshot? Did you see anything?
V: Yes, we all heard it. Yes, we all heard it. We didn’t know what it was, except it was three or four loud pops. We didn’t know what it was. Uh–
D: And you found him on the steps?
V: Yes.
D: Okay. Do you know how many times he’s been shot, sir?
V: No, I don’t! I–I–I–I–I don’t.
D: Okay. I know this seems like, you know, that I’m asking a lot of questions, but the more information I can–
V: Alberta! Alberta! Is he breathing? Is he breathing? Is he breathing, is he moving?
Alberta: [in between sobs] No, I don’t know!
V: Okay. I am telling them to come but they’ve already got them coming.
D: Yeah, I already have them coming. I just wanna know if we can help him, okay? Before they get there. Is he, uh– Does she know?
V: No, no. We don’t know. He’s not moving.
D: He’s not moving. Okay.
V: Who would’ve done something like that, Alberta?
D: Oh my goodness. You say you heard three or four shots. You didn’t see a car or anything?
V: No, no. We were all inside the house.
D: Okay. Alright. Okay. We’re sending the police over, okay?
V: Please.
D: Alright. They should be there shortly, alright? They should be there shortly, okay?
V: Please.
D: Okay.
V: Thank you. Do I stay on the line or–?
D: Well, can you– You can’t give me any more information, right?
V: I can’t give you any information. I don’t know.
D: Okay. Do you see where he was shot?
V: I can’t see. He’s propped over on the step.
D: Okay. Alright. They should be– Rescue should be there at any moment.
V: Why aren’t they here yet? My God. We’re only a minute or two away.
D: I know it seems that way, sir. But they, you know. It hasn’t been as long as you think. It just seems that way.
V: [sighs] Okay.
D: Okay? It’s only been about a minute. They should be there shortly, okay?
V: Okay.
D: Okay. If you can give me any additional information that would help, you can call me back.

These people are, in fact, actually evil and completely lacking in any sort of empathy for their fellow humans.
This is not an exaggeration.
Literally laughing at young children. Being tear-gassed.
There are Disney cartoon villains who wouldn’t even do that.

I’m lifting this from Facebook:
Australian Gun Law Update.. September 28
Here’s a thought to warm some of your hearts….
From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia
Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real
figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria…..alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady
decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.
Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in ‘successfully ridding Australian society of guns….’ You won’t see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information. The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note Americans, before it’s too late!
