I actually lost it at Kimberlyn offering to drive her (sobbing, fucking tears) because WHAT DO YOU MEAN these fictional characters will ACTUALLY HELP each other and not just spew bullshit empty words offering support that never comes or shoving the wrong kind of help that you didn't ask for down your throat instead of what you actually need
This show is kind of an inconsistent mess but when it lands, it lands for real

Of course, The Girls on the Bus is gonna do an abortion storyline because a bunch of female journalists traveling multiple states a day is the best vehicle to explore just how impossible it is for the average American woman to be treated like she’s in control of her own body.
I loved the generational outrage between the core four.
“The fact that this is happening—“ “Again!”
Sadie’s been trying to get abortion pills for two episodes. She hasn’t been able to do her job for days and is constantly calling her doctor to schedule a delivery. She has to rent a hotel room because the post office, which was four hours away in a legal state, closed minutes before she got there. This is on top of $800 worth of medical bills. No wonder she almost punched a man’s lights out for almost denying her health needs after such an unnecessarily wild goose chase. And this is an accomplished white career woman jumping over dumb hurdles. Can you imagine the experiences of those who are less privileged?
This episode gave me the strongest proof of their bond. Especially, between Kimberlyn and Sadie. The lone conservative journalist despite her personal beliefs rents a car, drives four hours, and stays the night in a random town for Sadie. Why?
“I might not agree with the choice but that doesn’t mean I can’t be there for my friend.”
