The Gates of Hell are being closed. Heaven and Hell are scrambling for the tablets and control, calling on all their resources to get the job done. Angels resurrected, demon's raised, humans dragged from Heaven and Hell respectively.

Joe’s mother was a hunter and died when he was very young. His father ran the Roadhouse and was determined never to let his son into the hunting life. Joe was stubborn though, fought with the Winchesters, and got himself killed in the process. But now Joe is back and no one’s quite sure how it happened. He’s devoted to reopening the Roadhouse with his father but still takes the occasional odd job.

Samantha is still recovering from the damage done while trying to close the gates of hell. She's not sure where to go from here, but Deanna's doing her best to keep Sa locked up and healing in the Batcave.
