it’s p good, but my sister was a theatre major so i kind of have to like plays. my 11/10 rec is the glass menagerie by tennessee williams, though. it’s really sad but it’s just beautiful and very easy to read. and if you really want to read shakespeare, much ado about nothing. it’s funny, romantic, tragic, scheming, really the best of everything. i totally feel you about the music tho, i hated making playlists on 8tracks cause it was like always the same sOng omg. i put my artist recs under the readmore, and i def bolded my faves. honestly, i have a playlist on spotify that i made for my friend and i keep updating it - i try to keep it 1 per artist (psa if a song is on there more than once it means i really want people to hear it). honestly the spotify playlists are amazing, i love the ‘evening chill’ one and if you want kind of electronic dubstep type, i suggest any mtv soundtracks - of which they have playlists on their verified page.

obviously, anyone that knows me well knows that my favorite band is led zepplin, so i put the general genre there

-wet (indie, chill, v calm)-phildel (chill, indie pop, calming voice)-the postal service (their lyrics are incredible but their songs are pretty upbeat, i personally prefer The Shins’ and Iron and Wine’s covers of their songs on this ep)-william fitzsimmons (acoustic, indie, v calm)-bombay bicycle club (alt)-two door cinema club (alt., kind of like artic monkeys mixed with wombats and new politics)-vance joy (acoustic, has MUCH better songs than ‘riptide’)-banks (indie, chill, amaze vocals)-i’ve been super into niykee heaton lately tbh (v chill, super sexy, amaze vocals, calming)-lucy rose (pop, but also a lot of indie acoustic)-roo panes (acoustic, v chill, v calming, bit folky)-bear’s den (idk i just absolutely love them. i heard one song and it was like “don’t cry hold your head up high she would want you to” and it came at just the right time for me bc my good friend passed away and i know that she would have wanted people to be happy)-iron and wine (calm, chill, acoustic, sleepytime music)-tiny vipers (super calming, kind of folky, acoustic)-she said disco (electronic, good for studying or getting ready for your day)-goldfrapp (their song annabel gives me MAJOR feels like it just so much but it’s so incredible)-robyn sherwell (chill, indie, a bit pop-ish and i LOVE ‘tightropes’)-in the valley below (a bit more electronic than the calmer artists, but still pretty chill indie)-lykke li (her voice is amazing, songs kind of sad, chill indie)-GEMS (kind of indie electronic, great for studying and sleeping)-the gaslight anthem (indie alt., i really like ‘red violins’)-family of the year (technically ‘pop’ but they’re just like music to listen to when you just wanna hang out)-the civil wars (a lot like iron and wine actually, calm and sleepytime but gentle)-angus and julia stone (folky, acoustic, sleepytime but also writing time)-marian hill (oh her voice gives me chills... kind of indie pop but also v chill)-lauren aquilina (absolutely beautiful, kind of like a calmer ellie goulding)-jake bugg (indie acoustic if i ever heard it)-wolf parade (v raw voice, a bit shocking at first but such emotional depth, -the airborne toxic event (alt. - i LOVE LOVE LOVE numb, timeless, wishing well, the secret, sometime around midnight, california (off ‘songs of god a whiskey’ specifically))
