Hi I’m Meag! (short for Meagan – it is just spelled awkwardly). Her/She. I love Glee, Good Omens, Doctor Who, Critical Role, and a whole slew of other things that I post randomly. I try to tag all shows that aren’t Glee since this started out as mainly a Glee/Klaine blog. I also write some Klaine fanfiction, you can find me on FF.net and AO3 (most updated fics on AO3). Someday I’ll get an updated fic page here on Tumblr... someday. I’m very open to prompts if you have them, but I can’t promise I’ll write it. My (adult) sibling just came out to me as trans. I am the very first person they have told. They haven't started the physical process of transitioning, but they are planning to. I am so happy for them, and I'm so grateful that they told me, that they trust me, and that they're able be their authentic self.
However, our family is not going to react well. There will be people in our family who will probably never talk to them again. My father (who they live with) is going to yell and be horrible. My mom will probably cry. Even my liberal siblings are going to have a hard time with it. So while in front of my sibling I was only happy for them, my immediate internal reaction was fear and I feel really sick, not because they are trans but because I know how freaking hard everything's going to be for them. What can I do? What do I do to help?

No amount of "Vote Blue no matter what" is going to change the democratic party enough to give us an actual good candidate anytime in the future if we don't stand on principal now and say Biden isn't good enough. The DNC will just keep getting closer and closer to the center as the center gets further and further to the right if they think we will vote blue no matter what.
Not voting for someone who funds a genocide should be a pretty easy stand to take.
