Oh, Muzan showers frequently. The man takes care of himself to the point of obsession. He isn't a messy eater, and goes out of his way to separate his food cleanly before he eats. Muzan needs to be clean and presentable at all times.

But, this wasn't always the case. When he was a young demon, he relished in ripping flesh apart before devouring.

I think there is something poetic in the way that Muzan has become the man who tormented him so many centuries ago. To use other living beings as experiments to his own ends, seeking his own ascension by trampling on the bodies of all of those he's broken.

Muzan's role shifted from victim to enforcer of the cycle of cruelty and brutality. Doling out the same cruelty inflicted upon him onto others, driven by the resolve to see his vision fulfilled.

Despite my iteration of Muzan feeling something for those he destroys (pity, mostly), he views their suffering as a necessary sacrifice for something greater.

You can't bring yourself to care. You hate that you cant feel what you used to be able to feel. You hate that you cant be happy. You hate that you cant bring yourself to actually hate. Your apathy has swallowed you and immersed you in a well of nothingness. You can't feel what you can't forget. You can't see what you close your eyes to.
