I kind of want to make a video edit showing the ranking of the episodes

everyone who thinks safe room belongs in top ten turn on your location real quick, i just wanna talk
Safe Room has so many excellent moments and it’s one of the most funniest episodes of the show. It might be one of the only episodes where every single scene is iconic or memorable in some way. It reached the top spots for a reason

Idk what my favorite episode is but Nobody Is Every Missing sticks out the most in my memory. I had started season 1 a couple times and struggled to get through it for some reason. so when i finally got to the season finale, it just ended me. final nail in the coffin for me becoming so annoying about succession forever and ever
Yes yes yes, I actually have the weirdest way of watching the show ever because that was accidentally the first episode I ever saw of the show. My mom was watching it and I walked into the room and started watching with her out of mild interest, and without any of the context of the rest of the show, I thought it was super good but I thought it was only like episode 2??? So imagine my surprise when I’m starting to watch the show and the entire first season I’m just aware of the looking vehicular homicide

honestly, I also think that people are overestimating connor's wedding. I mean it was good, but was it complex mix of political and personal drama (america decides) good? did it have the murder confession and the fucking "I'm all apart"? did it have the absolutely heart wretching horror of the confrontation in the "nobody is ever missing"? did it have "love is the last fridge magnet"? I don't think so. I think it had brilliant acting and I think because of its nature as the "roy children's devastation" episode, we, as the woobifying succession characters website, have been blindsided. I mean, I can't judge you all for being susceptible to the drug that is blorbos in pain, I am a proud nobody is ever missing liker myself, but I cannot take you seriously if you think connor's wedding is The Best Episode Of Succession
The way I see it is that Connor’s Wedding is one of the best episodes of television ever, but that it’s not the best SUCCESSION episode ever. It’s a masterwork but it’s not very Succession-y. If that makes sense.
I was rooting for it to go into the final because I love it but I honestly am so happy with the order of the top 5, it feels Right

This Is Not For Tears is my favourite episode so I'm glad to see it being ranked so highly, but I also like What It Takes. Between showcasing the influence Logan has on American politics, showing how little Logan actually cares about Shiv's opinion but also that she's willing to compromise on her morals for Logan's approval, and Kendall trying to act like Logan without the power to back him, the episode really solidifies a lot of characterizations
That’s a big favorite for me too, and there’s so much foreshadowing of Tom’s big decision at the end of the season

I really can’t seem to pick a favorite I’ve only been voting based on objective quality and story telling. But I just want to shout out mass in time of war cuz I can’t believe how low it is in the rankings. The entire sibling dynamics we saw play out, the way it was a precursor to all the bells say in terms of the sibs being spooked by Logan vs finally uniting against him. I wish it got more love :(
Yes I love that one too, so many choice scenes. I think it’s low on the ranking because even though it’s a great foreshadow of things to come, at the time of watching it felt like an episode that didn’t move the plot forward that much

sorry but that last anon (about liking connors wedding) is annoying as hell. this is the bracket for the best episode not your personal favorite episode.
I genuinely don’t understand what their ask had meant so I’m struggling to follow

Not my favourite, but an episode I really enjoyed and was really sad is in last place is Lion in the Meadow. I adore the "it'll be okay" monologue and Logan almost dying is always a plus.
You know what, even though I semi agree with it being one of the weaker ones, that sequence of Logan and Kendall hiking in that labyrinthian style trail with Adrian Brody basically testing them both was so Shakespeare and I loved it. And it’s crazy that that scene made me feel bad for LOGAN!

America Decides. It’s so intense and Kendall and Shiv both hit such a crazy rock bottom but in such different ways. It made me feel furious and devastated at the same time. I love it so fucking much.
I think it was one of my top 12 episodes to be honest, I’m so surprised how low down it was on the list!
I did read something interesting about how a lot of the response to the episode from non American, but particularly European viewers was ‘wow this is so realistic’ because that kind of populist intellectual authoritarian politics is what you’re starting to see more in Europe of late. But then apparently in the US the episode was kind of perceived to be unrealistic because that’s not what conservative populist politicians look or act like over there. The right in America is very anti intellectual right now, so someone like Mencken felt unrealistic that he’d get that far in a Republican race, quoting philosophers and so on. Someone like Ravenhead is apparently way more believable than Mencken. Do any Americans wanna add their two cents to this?
