Random worldbuilding tidbit I wanted to get down before I fall asleep and forget it:
A system of god's with like, numerology type significance. 3+4 = 7, 3*4 = 12
3,4,7,12 already all pretty nice numbers that are seen as significant. 4 maybe a bit less so but I like it anyway.
7 god's, 3 major and 4 minor. Maybe 3 female and 4 male or vice versa. Then each of the three major god's has a demigod child with each of the 4 minor god's, so you get 12 demigods whose properties are mixes of their parents somehow.
Maybe have the 4 minor god's have elemental associations or something. Or humours or both + all the other like, classical 'theres 4 of these and that's significant' thingies.
3 major has associations of like, mother maiden crone and/ or father son holy ghost (never thought of that now but like, father&mother, son&maiden, ghost&crone kind of fit right?)
Can't think of more atm but I'm sure there's a ton of other associations they can have.
Drawing a blank on 7 but it definitely has associations of like, luck and supernatural stuff right? The whole reason they split colours of the rainbow into 7 instead of the more reasonable 6 (blue, indigo AND violet?).
12 demigods can have months/ zodiac stuff which is the obvious one that comes to mind but I'm sure there's more.
Haven't thought it through that much yet about how to link it all, and don't really have any work in progress stuff to slot it into. (If anyone wants to flesh it out and use it feel free btw.)
As an occasional reminder, I have never seen anyone more than 60 miles outside of Philadelphia make a decent cheesesteak with the unexpected but consistent exception of San Francisco
