Gertrudes (A) is the combination of two designideologies & how each of these ideologiescould play out if they were followed more ridgedly. On one hand (B) we have the traditional notionof what a geometric sans could look like and onthe other (C) we look at a more dogmatic approach,favouring more angular character forms. All threeof these sub families (A, B & C) share commonmetrics, weights and some characters, however theresult is three vastly different feeling typefaces. Available from Modern Type.

A secret style set in Gertrudes is called Doom. It involves swapping out all the 'o, a, b, d, p, q' round sections with pentagrams... further radicalising, and already radical style. Gertrudes is available from Modern Type.
