"This year marks Jill’s 40th anniversary as an author, but her work goes back even further.
“I’ve always done it, ever since I was very small, about three or four,” she explains. “I thought all people wrote stories and could illustrate them. By the age of six, I was stapling pages together to make little books. I have 90 books stapled together in my knitting bag and I still take them around to schools today to show them."
