What I love about theatre is the sort of implausibility of it, the absurdity of it: at any point it could all go terribly wrong. Someone forgets their lines or the lights break, the curtain doesn’t go up, somebody in the audience misbehaves. I like that, I love the fragility of live performance. I always have, from when I was playing music and now similarly with theatre.~ Cillian Murphy in So It Goes + Ballyturk rehearsal photos

Abandoned this blog for a while. Going to try to post different things, and actually turn it into a blog. Might be a tiny bit manic/over caffeinated  today.

Questions to ask and answer.
- What is the mechanism behind Death/afterlife, Powers, and Immortality and how does that intertwine?
- How was the Immortality/power gained in the first place? Quirk of fate, or outside influence/creation?
- What prevents the dead from coming back? Where do the souls and minds go after the body dies?
-How does the main character figure all of this out? How does she use this to her advantage? What information does she have, and how does she deduce what she doesn't know?
-How do the specific powers work and what are their limitations? How does the Time travel / paradox thing work and how is it used?
-What mistakes has the main character made? Big mistakes? Small mistakes? How does she learn from them?

Post number two.
Ideas I am ambivalent on adding to story planning
- The powers are transferable somehow, after a powered character died.
- Mental/physical changes are granted with the powers and immortality.
- A prophesy of sorts is involved. " She who holds her own death in her hands"
- Some form of magic teaching is involved. PMC is a teacher in that enviorment to recruit help with plotting.

Three posts today. The rough outline previously for SS did not work out, as I no longer want to start the story like that. This time I am just going to write a list of what elements I wish to have in the story, and which I am ambivalent about.
-The characters have some sort of individualized superpowers.
-A system of immortality granted to limited people. The immortality can be canceled either the violation of a morality based system, a specific weapon that bypasses it, or a specfic person doing the killing. Haven't decided which specific thing will work best yet, this is just putting down ideas.
- One specific power granted is Time Travel, unlimited in the sense that you can go as far back as you wish, or as far forward.
- Time Travel leads to conflict between past and future self.
-Immortality leads to madness in some, and seeming madness in others including Future Main character.
-The powers and immortality come from the same grand source, that is also connected to death, dying, and the afterlife.
-Main characters wish/goal/plans are to stop all sentient life from dying, and to revive if possible, the already dead.
-Future self has seemed to go mad, but all of her actions have a purpose and continue the plotting/machinations neccessary for PMC to defeat death

So that was a shameful drunken mess. Had quite the hang over from that. Leaving the post there as a note to self.
Thinking that I'm going to have a short post today, to get back in the swing of things (as if there was ever a swing started).
Tentative name of the main character in SS, Sabah, to keep with the alliteration, and to prevent a whitebread boring protaganist name. Going to need to do research on background though if I want to go the semi realist route with origin

drunk. bad planning slash stress day. writing here to not lose writing streak.
Rough draft/outline of future reddit post.
Hey, longtime lurker/first time poster here. I've been lurking since I got my first retail job, which is at a shop that calls their customers "guests". I usually work in a tiny food area in the front of the store, but recently I was scheduled for a cashier shift. Usually I dislike being scheduled for cashiering, it involves more repetitive actions and more people than my usual job station. But, caffienated and sleep deprived I went. Anyway. Something odd (amazing) and random happened today, and I don't know if anything has happened like this for other people.
Random person walked through, bought headpones.selfdeprecating comment was made "broke college student", guest left the store, came back, presumably went all the way to the back of the store to grab another pair of headphones, came back, bought them. Gave them to me saying they were for me. He bought me a twenty dollar pair headphones. Not the usual 3 dollar ones I usually get. Dear god drunk me needs editor. drunk me sounds like hulk. smash annoyances. get money. ugh. building writing habits, it will be worth it in some way.

rant rant rant part two
5. The improvement, however it is that it is done (jesus I really need to work on world building or something) breaks SS in ways mentally and emotionally. Her mind doesn't work quite in the same way, and it takes time for her to regain her personality. She feels all emotions stronger, and reacts quicker to perceived threats. It is like her mind has backslid across towards the emotional and fight or flight side of reactions, rather than the  higher rational side.  In return she gets an improved slate of health, improved reaction times, and she doesn't age. I am debating on adding scars or animalistic traits to this, something that will outwardly show to the others immediately that she is different.
The main change is that she is now conditionally immortal. Superpowers which I haven't fully made up my mind about.
Will write more later. 1 am writing. Bad idea.

rant rant rant. Writing to write something
So I don't have much planned out for SS at all. Most of what I have is regarding the ending scene rather than the set up that leads up to it. Vague outline time, as that is really all that I have.
1. Character introduction. Not sure of original background. Do I really have to start before the point a normal lower-than-royal-family person gets twisted into a slightly immortal warrior slave by a :god:king? ugh. seems boring. But more interesting from an audiences perspective.
2. Character for some reason relating to worldbuilding I haven't written yet has an urge to protect her family from threats outside of her current ability to fight. When offered a chance to be able to fight the (likely fictional or faked by GK) threats, she takes it.
3. She gets introduced to rest of godcharacters and others, they train, while not knowing what they are training for. During training, their numbers shrink as one by one they get accepted for "improvements". None come back.
4. Two go before her, but are kept hidden from the others. They were the first survivors, but are changed an extreme amount from the start.
Finally her turn, she goes, etc etc meets GK, goes in to get "improved".
Will write more later
